Want to start off by saying that we had such great service here- our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. Ambiance is good as well. Lots of parking available. We got a couple of things: - Pan fried pork buns: The bun was nice & fluffy with a crispy bottom and juicy meat filling. The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! (I definitely recommend having it cold though haha) - Szechuan Numbed Pepper Broth: Got this with fatty beef. I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Their heaters must've stopped working because it was uncomfortably cold inside. We asked to be seated to one of the tables at the far side of the room (entry/exit door is in the middle). We ordered noodle soups and dumplings. The broth flavors were good maybe not the best I've had. Overall solid broth flavor and ingredients too. Soup Dumplings were stuck to the paper and couple of them broke while picking up. We ordered one steamed and one pan fried but both orders were steamed. We sent back the wrong order; no apology for extra wait or anything like that. Overall service is somewhat typical casual Asian restaurants where you have to wave them down if you want something, which is not very good if they're expecting 20% tips. If you're looking for a causal soup place, this is a good to OK place. Not our first time here, but definitely not our last. We ordered a few dumplings, a chicken dish, and fried buns. The dumplings were good. The crispy Fried Pot Sticker Dumplings with Onions being our favorite. The soup dumplings were okay, but had very little soup. Fantastic!! I can't wait to return! Service was pleasant and fast. The interior is cute and comfortable. The portion sizes are very generous and the food was delicious! I got the beef rice noodle soup with curry broth. The flavor was complex and it had a good ratio of noodles/beef/toppings to broth. One of my friends got the pork rib rice noodle soup with the classic broth, which was much milder but still delicious, and the other got the nanchang dry mixed rice noodles with shrimp which was spicy and very satisfying. We also got an order of soup dumpling to share, which we should not have because we could have easily shared 2 dishes between the three of us and and been full. We were able to take the leftovers! This was delicious!! There were so many options to eat around here but the noodles caught my eye. The dish was incredible, I loved the depth in flavor of the broth and the texture of the noodles. Unfortunately, this place did not hit my craving, though I could have ordered the wrong thing: Original broth with Beef flank: I do appreciate the plentiful beef flank that is in the dish (I thought they only gave 3 pieces at first, then discovered a treasure cove of goodies at the bottom of the bowl). My qualm with this would be that the broth was very lackluster and unflavorful. There was some creaminess from the bone broth, but it didn't taste like much else, which was disappointing. Perhaps I should have opted for a flavored broth instead of this, but this was very much just like hot water with a bit of salt and cream. Braised fatty intestine: You get quite a lot with this, and the sauce is nice and garlicky. They really emphasize the "fatty" in these intestines, so be sure to share or you'll find yourself in line for a heart attack. I also slightly question their cleaning of these intestines, as some pieces were hmmmmmmmm...but I'll try to give benefit of doubt. Overall, the broth was just way too disappointing for me to find any excitement in my meal. My family and I have been to Yunnan Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle half a dozen times now. This place is our go-to whenever we are in the area shopping for Asian groceries. Our primary reason coming here is that 1) We love all kinds of noodles and these rice noodles are amazing, 2) We have food allergies to deal with, and 3) For the most part, pretty kid-friendly. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes. We usually order Shenjian Bao (Pan fried baos which don't contain egg), and honestly, any of the noodles. The last few times I've gotten the original broth with fish. The fish fillets are large and abundant that I can share with our kids. We're also fans of the pig-ear cold appetizer. Recently we ordered dry noodles for the kids, but my son seems to like the soup noodles better. The reason I say this place is allergy friendly and it works for us is because there's no dairy (which is true to most Asian noodle shops), and their buns/dumplings don't use egg. When ordering food, definitely let your waiter/waitress know that you have specific allergies as they can make sure there's no peanuts or sesame. If you're aware of egg allergies like we are, occasionally there's a single quail egg in the soup noodles. We're grateful and look forward to Duluth shopping trips because there's the prospect of us stopping here for lunch/dinner. This place is relatively new and located in a great spot in Duluth. It's in the same complex as Sweet Hut/Ding Tea, which means there's never an issue with parking as the parking lot is huge. If you're craving for hot pot, you should give this place a try. They do an amazing job on it. Other than hot Pots, the noodle soups are also nice- I ordered the beef noodle soup and absolutely loved it. The beef was tender and the noodles had a really good texture. I also ended up getting the soup dumplings- they were so moist and tasty... wow! I would definitely go back for these dumplings and try something new from the menu. I visited here specifically for their new hand-pulled thick and wide wheat noodles. They were just as amazing as I was hoping for. All is well in the world. If you've ever heard of the famous "biang-biang" noodles, these are similar but not as wide. This is now my #2 spot for handmade noodles in the Atlanta area. The menu is basically comprised of a few appetizers-- all the rest of the menu is different broth and meat prices itemized. Therefore, the menu may appear to be 2 pages, but it is really simple. The appetizers here are really good, but the pan fried buns and dumplings are more greasy than other places in the area. The filling is not as flavorful also. You will notice that their appetizers cost almost 50% less than the same dishes at some other locations. That is because the portion size is smaller. Which is fine with me, as I always order too much food anyways. Their house garlic dipping sauce is excellent and unique. I tried both their original broth and the numbing broth. Flank beef and also fish as protein choices. The soups have so much meat inside! And, both broths I tried were rich and so flavorful, highly addictive! The soups arrive boiling and can be served two different ways, upon your request: 1. all of the toppings as small side dishes (my preference) 2. all of the toppings inside of the bubble soup The soups will always have your meat and noodle choice inside. Their house noodle is a thin noodle, but like I noted, I ordered and prefer the wide and chewy noodles. It was nice to find a hand-pulled noodle restaurant that had just numbing flavor. Yunnan Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle, is located in Duluth, GA on Pleasant Hill Road. It's in the same shopping plaza as Sweet Hut but more towards the opposite end. Crossing bridge style noodles (guoqiao mixian) originate from the Yunnan province in China. Don't want to go too much into the history of it, but its basically been around since dynasty times. The best way to describe the noodles are that there are individual ingredients separated out. You have the noodles that are added first to the broth. Then, you add the individual condiment dishes afterwards. These are usually a mix of veggies, spices and meat. There probably is a particular order, but the only thing I will say is that the items you want to cook longer, you should put in first, since the broth will cool down as you throw more items in. The interior is Chinese to the core in terms of decor, color scheme, and design. You get a real traditional vibe and atmosphere as soon as you step foot into the restaurant. I ordered the Sour Spicy Rice Noodle soup. It wasn't that sour. I would describe the taste, closer to tom yum, but a bit lighter. It wasn't too spicy either. The broth is thick and rich. You get plenty of variety in the dish as well in terms of veggies and meat. Good flavor. The amount of noodles they give is a lot and will definitely fill you up. In terms of service. They do a good job of checking up on you. If you're confused by the menu, they will help you out there as well. They even guide you to how to add the ingredient dishes to your noodles when you get it at your table. So if you're new, this place makes it easy on first time visitors who aren't familiar with the cuisine. Overall, definitely worth trying out for those who are interested in something that's a bit different. There aren't that many Yunnan cuisine based restaurants to begin with in GA, so if you're feeling adventurous, give this place a try. I ordered them as soon as I sat down and waited a few minutes before ordering my noodles. My noodles came out well before the dumplings. I got the Szechuan Pepper Sole Fish Rice Noodle Soup and tried the lamb rice noodle soup as well. I thought it would be more like a hot pot but it's basically just noodles and soup. The veggies and stuff that they put into the soup for you look cute but when I was eating my dish I couldn't even find them because it wasn't a lot of vegetables at all. My experience.... Ordered food, asked for extra noodles, told internet was going to disconnect and could we pay for our food up front. Order was at table but was asked to pay for entire meal when I asked for extra noodles. Ordered tomato broth veggies only. Found a quail egg and crab mid way through. Waitress thanked me when I showed her then Walked away. Friend asked if internet ended up going down and the waitress acted as if she didn't hear my friend. She asked twice. I saw 2 other Patriots pay after completely finishing meal. This experience was interesting. Where else would you go and have to pay up front? All ingredients already placed in soup when it arrived (unlike in menu pictures/ other yelp pictures). Arrives in the hottest broth ever - broth at a rolling boil. You're protected from scalding by the plastic sleeve your bowl sits in. Sichuan pork ribs noodle - Light spicy 4/5 Beef tendon noodle: large chunks of tendons (almost too large). My favorite soup base. 5/5 for broth, 4/5 for tendon pieces because they were so large it was hard to chew through; taste and texture great. Beef curry mixed Beef noodle - smelled amazing, smelled of curry, not much curry taste and the broth was fairly clear (unlike the creamy yellow pictured on the menu). 4/5 for broth, 5/5 for beef.
