The woman who served us was also incredibly helpful and welcoming. I ordered the Hot Numbing Fish Fillet ($18). It had a satisfying kick! It was spicy, and the seasoning was flavorful and aromatic. The fish itself was tender and cooked perfectly. Their menu had many items that seemed appetizing. I plan to drop by in the future to try more of their offerings.

When I walked in, I was impressed to see a Michelin-recommended sign posted at the entrance, which definitely made me curious to try something they were recognized for. I tried the vegetarian chive and egg bun appetizer, which was light and delicious if you are a fan of chives. Our table also ordered the fried potsticker dumplings--gets good and a must-try. The noodles were so fresh, and I loved that you can actually customize and pick your noodle size. It was also really cool that you can watch them make the noodles right through the window! The restaurant was clean, and we were able to be seated right away. There was a steady flow of people to include take out but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. The waitstaff was excellent and made sure we fully understood how the menu worked. Our food was delivered promptly and all at one time. While everything tasted great, I would have preferred the appetizers to come out first, as delivering it all together put a lot on the table at once. Overall, it's a frilly good , clean spot with great service, and I'd definitely recommend it!

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

Want to start off by saying that we had such great service here- our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. Ambiance is good as well. Lots of parking available. We got a couple of things: - Pan fried pork buns: The bun was nice & fluffy with a crispy bottom and juicy meat filling. The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! (I definitely recommend having it cold though haha) - Szechuan Numbed Pepper Broth: Got this with fatty beef. I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Also, the pork was (again) so tender! Would, no doubt, come back for another meal here. 10/10 would recommend!

Walked into Goodwin expecting a more relaxed, self-serve style environment where customers could take their time browsing the menu without pressure. Instead, the atmosphere immediately felt tense and uncomfortable -- more like "hurry up and order or leave." The owner are def fuzhouese. One of the first things I noticed was two tables eating directly out of large rectangular aluminum trays, the kind you'd normally see at Chinese buffets or catering setups. This is a sign that tells me they are family member of the restaurant owner 员工餐 . It honestly threw me off and made the dining room feel unusual and unpolished. The female owner immediately came to the entrance as soon as I walked in, which added to the pressure and awkward vibe. My mom actually comes from a very similar cultural and business background and has worked with many restaurant owners in that community through commercial restaurant sales. Based on her own experiences in the industry, I became uncomfortable with what she described what possibly would be going on and that made me uneasy as well. At the end of the day, the atmosphere just didn't feel welcoming or relaxing. I ended up leaving before ordering because something about the experience felt off to me personally. There are plenty of other no-tip restaurants that manage to feel modern, clean, and customer-friendly without making people feel rushed or uncomfortable. To name a few: Korean: kisoya, Naju myunok, and sambong naengmyun, the food court inside mega mart Chinese: Papa dumpling, or the food court at dinho in doraville, or chenji in Duluth, Xi an gourmet noodle inside jusgo food court

I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

For my entree, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Unfortunately, it was a bit lackluster. I'm not sure I'd return specifically for the ramen. My boyfriend ordered the truffle shoyu ramen and also found it to be underwhelming. The ambiance has also changed since my last visit. They've replaced the middle bar area with more tables and painted over the previously drawn-on walls. The space feels noticeably darker now and lacks some of the character it once had. That said, the service was great. Our server, JJ, was attentive, friendly and took good care of us.
