supreme beef tomato rice noodle soup

Revisited this store recently with my gf as we were in the area and closer to this location than the FMP one (which is our usual Yunshang store. This store had a longer wait than usual and we ended up waiting maybe a good 15 min for a table. We signed up for digital waitlist at the digital kiosk right at the front entrance. There were maybe 3 tables ahead of us? Food was consistent. Pretty tasty broth. The sauce that comes with the popcorn chicken reminds me of Raising Cane's sauce lol. Service is ok here. Not the most attentive. The guy who mans the cash desk actually saw my hand the most LOL. Solid resto, albeit with slightly less dine-in tables than their FMP counterpart.

Spicy Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodle Soup

I'll admit I was skeptical at first about this "crossing-the-bridge" rice noodle soup concept, but it's actually a neat & yummy dining experience that doesn't break the bank! Think of this a little bit like hot pot but without the dipping sauces and more focused on noodles. The soup is served piping hot in a cauldron, and you get to add all the ingredients in to your liking. Love the variety of toppings offered with each set, and unlimited rice noodle refills! The spicy soup is definitely on the spicier side (my spice tolerance is medium, for reference). It can get pretty busy here, but food comes out quickly. Service is efficient and quick. If you're into soup noodles and want to try something new, then slurp away here :)

A chain restaurant with multiple locations around the city, all serving tasty food. Yunshang Rice Noodle is one of those restaurants that I just don't get sick of and can have it again and again. I dined at this location for the first time and first impression is that this restaurant is huge compared to all other locations. Very spacious and tables are evenly spread out so no parties are sitting too close to one another. Service here was also great, the servers were very attentive and was always around if we needed anything. I got the tomato crossing bridge noodle soup, which is my go to item here. It comes with a variety of toppings that you can add into your hot stone boiling soup. Make sure to add your raw slices of pork in first so that it's cooking properly. Noodles here are unlimited and you can order them in half bowls or full bowls - eat as much noodles as you'd like. The tomato soup is super flavourful, tangy, and delicious. I know I'll be back, as it's one of my go to meals whenever I'm feeling something warm, cozy and comforting.

Lovely! The staff are nice and attentive. They're very accommodating too: we can't eat beef so they suggested to switch the beef balls with pork meatballs. I've gotta say: I love their stuffed meatballs. Absolutely my fav. Like all rice noodle places, the toppings are in small amounts. I do love that brown sauce. Not sure what it is but I loved putting the noodle on my spoon, then dipping for soup, then putting a little of the sauce on top. Yum! Their chicken rice was so good!! The mushroom flavour was strong. I like that they have a boneless option and different levels of spice available. The decor is elegant and trendy. The red bench really makes the place pop. This place is always packed so be sure to come early!

Like the "Crossing Bridge" noodle a lot. Good mouth feel with lots of toppings to enjoy with the big hotpot of soup. I picked the coconut flavor and it pairs up pretty well with the springy noodle. Need to call out the sliced beef with peanut and chili oil. Good harmony between the spiciness and the beef texture with a hint of peanut and scallion taste. Nicely made. Recommended.

Hot soup noodle| Hot rice | 10% off VIP program | Opens late Good quality throughout all their locations. Always hot and fresh. Very flavorful (slightly on the salty side). Spice level is great. Sometimes their items can be seasonal like their fah gau rice, spicy pigs intestine noodle, okra, etc Overall great service, spacious and bright environment. Always a returning customer.

What an awesome grand opening for their November weekend 50% promo! We showed our vaccine passports and ID before sitting down. The interior is clean, modern, and I was very surprised at how friendly the staff was! I was expecting abrasive service, but there was none of that here! The menu is available via QR codes on each table, but they did provide a paper menu upon request. Michael, one of the managers, was super busy but took the time to stop by and answer our questions Their rice noodles are made in Canada, while the broths are simmered for 12 hours with quality ingredients. There is no MSG or artificial flavors, and you can really taste the depth of flavor with each spoonful. The "Crossing the Bridge" rice noodles story is over a hundred years old, and legend says they were invented by the wife of a scholar. She had to cross a bridge to bring him lunch each day, and kept all the ingredients separated to prevent the noodles from getting soggy! My husband enjoyed the Coconut Curry Rice Noodle Soup immensely. It was served in their earthenware pots, which are handmade by a Japanese master, and shipped to Canada. It really kept the soup piping hot! A platter of 10 toppings was included, as well as free noodle refills. He also ordered the superior beef slices for an additional fee. I tried the Tomato Rice Noodle Soup with Beef Slices and Enoki Mushrooms. What a fantastic choice. It wasn't spicy and provided the perfect balance of sweet and sour. There were generous portions of mushrooms! I would definitely order this again. This was the first time we tried Yang's Braised Chicken with Rice (bone-in). They share the same space. The chicken was tender, but I think the boneless version is a better choice. There were tiny slivers of bones, so you have to be careful when eating. We ordered it mild, but whoa, it was spicy! Side dishes: Salty Popcorn Chicken, Taiwan Style Sausages, Deep Fried Squid Tentacles, Signature Pork Rougamo, and New Orleans Fried Chicken Wings. Our favorites were the sausages and chicken wings. So addictive! I think it would be a good idea to offer different sauces though. This franchise is hugely popular in North America, and we can see why! Great service, amazing food, and a concept that appeals to families. They are also strong supporters of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in downtown Toronto!

A good place to go for some hot noodle soup, especially if you are hungry! This is a new chain of this restaurant, and it's very clean and spacious inside. We ordered a noodle soup off the menu and one of the cross the bridge rice noodles which comes with 10 sides, pork slices, and unlimited refill of the noodles. Both the noodles had big portions even without the refill! I found the broths were both flavourful and tasted like what I expected. They came hot so that's a plus. Right now, there's also a promotion where you post a Google review for a free side, so we got a potato salad on the side. I personally really enjoyed the potatoes but it could have used a little less red oil in my opinion as the bottom was drenched with oil. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely consider coming back again!

Tomato soup rice noodles with added beef. Spicy beef and ox tongue

We have been to yangs chicken for many years and happy to see yet another new location open. It's a yangs chicken plus a yunshang rice noodles. It's my first time trying the noodles. We took advantage of the grand opening on Nov 14, 2021 when there was a half off on your total bill. We ordered one chicken rice, one beef brisket hand-pull noodles, one crossing the bridge tomato soup rice noodles with additional beef, and an original with additional beef. For the chicken rice, like the other franchise location, not very special, tastes like a home cooked meal especially if you choose non spicy. The beef brisket noodles was also good but it's the same sauce as the chicken rice. For this visit I was more interested in trying the boiling bowl rice noodles. I got the tomato soup. Turned out the soup itself already comes with some beef slices, so don't need to necessarily add additional beef, $2.99 for three more slices is too expensive. The soup is flavorful and not too salty for me. The original soup however seems a bit bland compared to the tomato. I'll definitely wanna try the preserved veggies with fish and the coconut curry soup later. The Ingredients are not that special except for the quail egg which explodes in the mouth and that's interesting. It's unlimited refill for the rice noodles but a few sip of the tasty soup will leave you no stomach space for that. The side ingredients dishes are more gimicky and for the gram. They could have served right in the bowl. Their appetizers were good like always, even better than the chicken rice imo. We tried the spicy sliced beef plus ox tongue, so good and not too spicy or numbing. We also like the Taiwanese sausage. Unfortunately not every appetizers were available given the new opening, so we may have to come back to try them later. Overall a decent place for rice noodles, perfect for cold winter time.

I really like visiting this location, very spacious and friendly staff. They offer both Yunshang Rice Noodle and Yang's Braised Chicken at this location. I usually order their takeout which is always prepared quickly and accurately. The Crossing Bridge concept has many toppings and you add them to the noodles yourself. It's kind of like hotpot concept and you have a bit of everything. They also have "hot pot" rice noodles where everything is already added and it's only one flavour/meat. I really like their Picked Vegetable Fish Hot Pot Rice Noodles - it's loaded with fish fillet and I love the sour and spicy soup. When you dine in there's unlimited noodle refill too. I also usually order the Yang's Braised Chicken (bone-in) with rice. For only $10.99 you get a pot of chicken and a bowl of rice, usually more than enough for 1. Definitely a regular for me!

Came here during their opening weekend and sharing my experience based on this visit. During their opening weekend, they are offering a really sweet deal so I definitely can't say no to checking this restaurant out. It was a rainy, cold Sunday so a hot pot of rice noodle soup is a no brainer. When I got here, the line was long, which is expected. Great minds think alike. The wait to get a table was long, waited over an hour. Normally this is unacceptable but again, it's opening weekend. I'll start with the restaurant itself. The location is easily accessible. It's in the corner of a section in this plaza. The interior is also spacious with lots of seats. The service was extremely fast. We got our food in no time at all. I guess they want to keep the guests moving. Now for the food, can't complain. The broth is what you would expect from these restaurants. The tomato was savoury and flavourful. The appetizers were also good. The popcorn chicken was decent sizes and had a good amount of saltiness. They were also generous on the Taiwanese Sausage, good amount of size and location. One thing also worth mentioning is the Broth is boiled for 12 hours, which I jokingly say that it's not fresh since it's from yesterday. But in all seriousness, it truly enhances the flavour. Overall, I enjoyed my visit here today and wish them well overtime. Now that winter is coming, I recommend to keep this place in your radar for food that warms you up.

Family friendly place to dine with healthy food options for kids. The bone broth do not have MSG but still flavourful. The rice noodles are tangy and delicious. Kids also like the popcorn chicken and pumpkin pancakes. Service is great at this location too.

If you're not a fan of natural fish flavours, this might not be the spot for you. But for me, I love the fullness of the soup, and how all the flavours provide a hearty and comforting meal. They also have tomato base, spicy or other options if you're not a fan of fish, but my favorite is probably the original fish broth base. It comes with pieces of white fish. You can also switch it up and have it come with other ingredients such as fish tofu, or brisket. Definitely recommend to come try. There is a bit of a wait often when I come on the weekend but service is quick and speedy, in a typical hk-Asian style. The space is also a converted house so the layout is a bit odd and a bit hot in some corners, but manageable. If you cannot do steep steps, ask the servers to have you seated on the main level.

All noodle orders come with one extra noodle refill, which was a nice bonus. The bowls look large, but they're fairly shallow. This was shared between 3 people though. The spicy pumpkin broth is made with their original fish and pork bone base. I didn't get much pumpkin flavour, and honestly, I wasn't a big fan of the broth overall. It had a bit of spice, but there wasn't anything particularly memorable about it. My bowl came with sliced grouper, bean curd, pickled mustard, tofu, and my chosen toppings were sliced grouper, beef brisket, and fish tofu. You can also add tiger shrimp and mussels for an extra $2. The noodles are made with five different grains, giving them different colours and a nice chewy texture. The hk styled curry beef brisket was average. The brisket itself was tender and came with potatoes and onions, but it wasn't anything that stood out. One thing I wasn't a fan of was how warm it was inside the restaurant. It didn't seem like there was any air conditioning, only a few fans, and there wasn't much air circulation. It made the dining experience less enjoyable, especially when eating a hot and spicy bowl of noodle soup in warm weather. Overall, I thought it was just okay. Currently, the entire bill is currently 15% off as part of a promotion running from May 28 to June 30, which helped make the meal feel like a better value.

The portions are big enough for 2 if you get a large, but since it was our first time we wanted to try 2 different soups. Here's what we got: Chicken wings 4/5 - Came out raw the first time after we bit into it. But quickly flagged a server to let them know how this issue. They brought us a new one shortly after that was perfectly cooked, juicy and crispy on the outside. Laotan boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili 4/5 - Their number one classic so we had to try. It's sour and spicy with the right amount of kick to it. Basa fish filets were also tasty. Came out luke warm. Princess's tomato fish 4/5 - Packed with tomato flavour. Savoury and paired well with the basa fish filet. Came with bean curd noodles as well. Came out luke warm.
