Yunshang is one of our favorite dinner spots -- super affordable and amazing value. Our server was super friendly and quick to seat us and bring our food out. You can place your order via QR code found on the table. Right now they have a promotion: when you spend $40, you get 2 $10 coupons, valid under end of February 2026. My go-to order: * Cold Chili Chicken * Smashed Cucumber Salad * Coconut Curry Noodle soup This combination is soooo good, I literally crave it every so often. My boyfriend and I end up sharing a soup and just ordering extra noodles (it's free) As if YunShang couldn't get any better; now they also have free ice cream after every meal! It was the perfect end to our meal. Super refreshing! Lots of seats inside, great for groups of 1-4. Plenty of parking in this lot. 20251226

Visiting from the states and we weren't sure what to expect. There is a tablet for adding yourself to the waitlist and the wait wasn't too long considering we arrived during Saturday dinner time. They call out for customers by number in Mandarin but my friend and I are not Mandarin speakers so we almost missed our table (thank you to those who said our number!). The menu is through QR code and the food was brought out immediately. My friend has a mushroom allergy and servers did their best to accommodate her. The food was pretty good and the noodles are delicious. Really warms the body during cold season.

Aunt & I went to Yunshang Rice Noodles for lunch. Our waitress, May, was very helpful. She showed us how to order on the cell phone. We ordered Salty Popcorn Chicken & Celery & Pig's Ear for appetizers. Both were delicious! We also ordered Original Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodle Soup. The soup was excellent! Not too salty. Perfect! We couldn't finish our food because there was so much. Waitress May brought the food containers & put the food into them. Wonderful! The food was great & our waitress May was very helpful. We will definitely come back!

Solid 3.5 stars. Located in the T&T plaza at Warden and Steeles. There is plenty of parking out front but need to be wary of the many pedestrians walking around without a care. The shop is plenty big with many seating options for parties of any size. The are QR menu codes on each table. The food comes quickly and piping hot! The flavours were very rich and each bowl full of meats and yummy sides with the rich soup base.

Comforting noodle soup that hits the spot every time. I find myself frequently here as I always crave their tomato noodle soup. The soup comes in a boiling pot with all your toppings on the side. You can put in whichever toppings you like (I usually put all of them except the quail egg). Noodles are all you can eat, so after you finish your bowl of noodle, feel free to ask for another one if you have soup leftover. This place is great when it's chillier outside as the boiling soup keeps you nice and warm. Service is quick. When you go into the restaurant make sure to put yourself on the waitlist at the front door if there is a wait. Otherwise just walk in and let the servers know how many are in your party. Get the tomato soup - it's the best!

This location is conveniently located in the T&T plaza with ample parking (weekends are busy). We dined here twice in one week. The Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodle Soup are reasonably priced at $12.99 each. Noodle refills are free, and I would suggest ordering them right away, but the broth does stay hot due to the cast iron pot.

Located in the same plaza as the T&T supermarket. Come here if you're looking for spicy rice noodles in a hot pot! My friend joked that the pot looked like a witch pot. Lol. We also ordered spicy potato, beef shank with chili sauce, and spicy chicken gristle. Basically everything spicy! That's the way. All were yummy dishes. If you are into spice then this is the place to visit.

Haven't dined in at Yunshang rice noodle before so it was nice to visit in person finally! I got their curry soup base and tomato soup base which came with a variety of foods to cook in the hot pot. Paired with fried tofu and chilli chicken - my two go to items! Service was really quick and the interior is nice and spacious so it's comfortable for us to sit (especially with our little one!). Good for family with strollers as well.

1st day of no vaccination proof required, time to celebrated. In the mood for a nice bowl of hot tomato base soup with beef & vegs and ended up here before heading to TNT next door. Also ordered the boiling spicy fish & veg noodle soup Nicely decorated restaurant with Mandarin music playing in the background. Tomato base soup was not as flavorful as the other "crossing the bridge" noodle place, however, plenty of beef & vegs. Spicy fish noodle soup had a nice spicy kick to it and the fish was vey flavorful and held it's shape/texture. Soup was so good decided to not let it go to waste and asked for a take out container. Would I come again, it's a viable option to consider whenever I'm in the area to go TNT shopping

I recently tried their fresh sliced tilapia and Chinese sauerkraut with original rice noodle soup. It was delicious and so flavourful. It had a slight spicy kick to it. Although not a variety of toppings like the crossing bridge noodle, it did have a lot of fish slices. The fish were cooked well and seemed fresh. I would order this again!

This was a nice place for a late night eat and the wait staff were kind in letting us eat comfortably after the store closed while they cleaned up. Not once rushing us! I ordered the coconut curry broth with meatballs. The broth was flavourful and the multiple included side dishes was appreciated. I did feel it was a bit pricey for rice noodles, but the yummy broth helped to leverage the price value. We also ordered the potato side dish which wasn't what we expected. It was potatoes but wasn't crispy, almost like it was raw? I think this is a pretty common potato side dish so I probably just wasn't familiar with it. Overall, awesome late night eat place with warm hospitality, would consider going back. Note: they only accept debit/cash.

Love this rice noodle house! Great quality noodles and tasty soup bases! Servers are very responsive and accommodating. My friend asked for a pitcher of water, despite us being a table of 2, and they got it for us--twice. My friend is basically a fish. They're also quick to get you noodle refills when you ask for them. I've tried the majority of their soup bases and they're all delicious! In my opinion, the spicy bases aren't actually that spicy. The spiciness actually contributes to a nice overall flavour, not painful spice. Their noodle refills are a highlight of this place. They have great quality rice noodles that are nice and chewy. This is a great place to have your fill of tasty noodles, I'll be coming back soon!

The use of traditional elements, paper-cut window designs, red Spring Festival couplets, old-style newspaper wall coverings, and exposed brick adds a strong sense of nostalgia. It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant. The décor isn't fancy, but it's rich in cultural detail and warmth, perfectly matching the hearty, comforting style of Northeast Chinese cuisine. The space is unique and perfect for taking photos. The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. Prices are reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the unique restaurant décor.

I was hoping to find something special on the menu. The Peking duck caught my eye at around $70, but then I discovered that almost everything else was extra--lettuce wraps, stir-fried duck meat, fried rice, and soup. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

The lid on my shredded potato salad wasn't on properly and the sauce leaked through my Fantuan bag. The food gets five stars. Sadly, the lid on my potato salad wasn't securely on the container. I had my food in my insulated bag, so the sauce leaked into the Fantuan bag and my insulated bag. Luckily, my car was fine. As a result, my rating is four stars. I wanted to try a new eatery. I looked at my Fantuan app and noticed He Bei Chinese Cuisine. It had dumplings and snacks that I enjoy, so I said yes to placing a dinner order from this eatery. I ordered these items: - Pork and chive steamed dumplings (large has 14 dumplings) - Tea eggs - Shredded potato salad On Fantuan, when you purchase $15 worth of food, you get the shredded potato salad for a cent. Deal! After placing my order near my home, I drove over to this eatery. The drive was ten minutes. I was given an estimated time of fifteen minutes. It was ready in ten minutes. I had no problem finding this eatery. There was plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. I saw the Yubu sign. My heart sank, as I loved the Korean tofu pockets from this joint. I liked seeing places to sit down and eat at He Bei. Nice! A woman behind the counter came over. I said that I had a Fantuan order. She talked to me in Mandarin. I don't understand it, but we were fine communicating with each other in our languages. She pointed out the blue Fantuan bag on the table behind me. I thanked her and wished her a nice day. She said thanks right back. I put my food in my insulated bag. With the leak, I managed to launder the Fantuan bag and clean my insulated bag. After I cleaned up, I had dinner at home. The food was amazing and filling! I loved the shredded potato salad. Sure, a lot of the sesame-soy sauce was gone. However, it tasted yummy. It was worth the cent! The steamed pork and chive dumplings were so good. I didn't dunk them in soy sauce. The filling had so much moisture that I felt like I was eating soup dumplings. The filling had yummy flavour and the dumplings were steamed to perfection. Excellent! You can buy frozen dumplings from this place. I'll need to do it. The tea eggs were the perfect snack while streaming hockey games. I peeled the shells off both of them. The eggs were cracked to allow the amazing soy-based sauce to marinate and get into the eggs. Delicious! I'm a fan. I'll take a closer look at the lids on my food next time. I'm glad that I put food in my insulated bag. It saved cleaning my car's upholstery! (59)

The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

We first noticed this restaurant because the name in Chinese is "like to be with you". It's Friday…read morethat after my appointment around the area. They have different special offers each day from Monday to Friday. We ordered the special Linyi Style Stir Fried Chicken on Friday. And we also ordered Boiled Basa Fish with pickled Cabbage & Green Pepper. They were pretty traditional Chinese styles. The white rice or brown rice both can have as much as we could. That's good for men. We both like here, but they don't offer specials during the weekends. But they do have other special packages, just a bit different. And they also have the membership that we could collect points and then we could use the points to get drinks or different snacks or dishes.

New sauerkraut fish soup spot in Markham…read more A chain from asia that has finally made it's way to Markham. They are known for their sauerkraut fish soup that comes with unlimited self serve rice on the side. Servers were attentive, spacing of the seating and tables were tight. Often times people kept brushing up against my chair while getting up to go get their rounds of rice. Although not a deal breaker, was annoying while trying to enjoy your food. The portions are big enough for 2 if you get a large, but since it was our first time we wanted to try 2 different soups. Here's what we got: Chicken wings 4/5 - Came out raw the first time after we bit into it. But quickly flagged a server to let them know how this issue. They brought us a new one shortly after that was perfectly cooked, juicy and crispy on the outside. Laotan boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili 4/5 - Their number one classic so we had to try. It's sour and spicy with the right amount of kick to it. Basa fish filets were also tasty. Came out luke warm. Princess's tomato fish 4/5 - Packed with tomato flavour. Savoury and paired well with the basa fish filet. Came with bean curd noodles as well. Came out luke warm. Easily would be a five star review if both soups that we got came out piping hot rather than lukewarm. Regardless, a great spot for a quick in and out meal.

Great food, friendly service. What more could you ask for…read more The decor is amazing, really feels special compared to the boring decor of other Chinese restaurants. The portions are large and great for sharing. If you can handle spicy, grab a friend that can also handle it and you're in for a good time here. Note that this place only accepts cash and debit.

Wait list is old school...someone writes your name and number in a notebook and you are called when your table is ready. The interior is reminiscent of the old school taverns you see in those old Chinese movies where the traveller has spent days walking or on a horse and comes upon a tavern where the interior is all wooden tables and benches. Dining style and dishes are all family style. You order a couple of dishes and then add rice. Spice level can be adjusted and even at 'less' the heat level was high. Definitely generous use of Szechwan peppercorns! Food is very flavourful and depending on preference some might find the oil level high. The clientele is mainly Mandarin speaking and if you are Asian they will immediately communicate in Mandarin with you but I did see the staff switch to English where needed. Service was patient and attentive.
