We sat at the bar and the lady tenders were nice and attentive early on. The ambiance and decor is classy and traditional Iberian. Super Bock on tap is always a plus especially when ice cold like it was served. A Paella and a Monkfish dishes were ordered. And took no less than an hour to come out. Since we ordered no appetizers, it was and felt like forever. The major disappointment was no tender checking on us. Had I been asked if I wanted another Super Bock at anytime in the last half hour of waiting, I would have been able to ask that they check on my food. Not that I should remind anyone how to do their jobs. Then the minor disappointment. For all that wait, all the customers rolling in, all the nice atmosphere, the food was just good but not great. The best outcome was lots of leftovers for entrees priced on the higher side for Portuguese food.

I got the Matcha pineapple juice and a Cesar salmon salad. The dressing was super different. It was a tomato Caesar which I've never encountered in the wild. That was absolutely delicious. The location is similar - a place that wouldn't be on your radar unless you know. I say all that to say, upon pulling up I remembered attending a private birthday party and some community networking events at Blueprint Cafe! We selected our own seating upon entry. What became our waiter offered a high chair for the baby. I get easily overwhelmed by large menus so I just glanced at the board but focused primarily on the brunch menu. I ordered the Irish Cream French toast which came with chicken. I also ordered a pineapple matcha lemonade. The pineapple matcha lemonade came in a bottle, which met my needs (juggling the baby and myself). I loved how refreshing and sweet it was! I really wanted another but didn't want to see greedy. The French toast was perfect. Not too sweet, light and fluffy. It paired well with the savory strips of chicken which came with a secret sauce. I forgot how nice of an addition Blueprint Cafe Lounge was to the Ironbound section. I'm looking forward to returning this summer and using the outdoor seating!

Only because the person who ordered after me had her order called out is what made me go check the counter to find my items there as well. Every time you pay nowadays, they ask for a tip. This service definitely doesn't justify any.
