Pacific Coastal operates out of this terminal to remote areas in BC, and various fishing lodges have chartered flights from here. The departure and arrival areas is pretty much one section. The baggage carousel is right by where you board. I take Pacific Coastal flights, and there's no security screening to go through, you just go out to the tarmac and board the plane from there. Unfortunately there's not many food options. There's only a cafe located at this terminal and you'll have to go out pretty far to find actual food. Service is fast since there's virtually no people. You can just go at the required arrival time and you should be fine. The building is very small and it's impossible to get lost as it's just one big hallway. Bathrooms are located on one side of the building. There's a shuttle that goes to and from the terminal but otherwise you'll have to take a taxi or Uber to get there. It can take quite a bit of time to go between terminals.

This is the smaller airline terminal: I arrived from Haida Gwaii on Pacific Coastal Airlines…read more There isn't as much scanning of luggage and person at these smaller airlines, which threw me for a loop in our age of high security. The terminal was nice and clean and orderly. I was disappointed in the taxi service: there was nothing in sight and I had to call get a cab, seems strange for an airport terminal to have no taxi waiting around at all, I waited for about 15 minutes to get out of there after collecting my items.

I inquired with the ground staff and they pointed me to the CDS booth that's at the YVR airport. I was ready to make a big fuss but ended up leaving with a big smile because the staff there were so sweet and validated my frustrations. They assured me that as long as Air France gets the bags to them, they will make sure to deliver it to me the same day. They also gave me water and calmed me down, it was very sweet. Best part, next day at 3:00pm my bags were delivered at my doorstep just like they promised! If your bags are ever delayed and you have to go through CDS, I would recommend stopping by their office at the airport and personally talking to them! They are super helpful!

Keep deleting the truth and I'll keep posting it back…read more So I would like to talk about the working environment at this place. Worker by the name - Kiana "So I was working here for a short time and what I experienced here was extremely surprising what goes on in the background in this work environment. Kiana would answer the calls and out of frustration of the phone calls she would put phone on mute and vent out " I want to kill this guy". I was actually super shocked when I heard this, but I was new so I had no right in saying anything because I needed the job. There's workers that would come into the office room and out loud they would be saying "N***A"( the an word ) even that I was extremely shocked in hearing and keep in mind Kiana is a manager and no action was made from that comment by the worker... keep in mind the N word comment was said multiple times. If she lies about this then hook her up to a lie detector test and have her prove her innocence. I'm sorry, but this hurt me enough for me to come on here and let everyone know. This company works in frustration. So even after all this they let me go because I spoke about what happened during the Olympics in Paris. So they literally fired me because I spoke about what I saw on tv with an air Canada worker and what's hilarious is the Air Canada worker was agreeing with me. Literally all we talked about was how they had drag queens dancing on the table and mocking the religion ( the last supper ) I didn't not attack them in any way when speaking solely only spoke what I witnessed on tv and how I thought it was wrong to mock religion. All that was said. So it's wild to me that I got let for that reason, but they allow racial comments in the work environment and even to a point to vent saying you "want to kill this guy"... I was let go because zero tolerance. Why is there no zero tolerance for the others? I'm confused. Especially when my situation was a 2/10 the most while there's racial profanity being said at work. Makes total sense... I will be slowly reporting to HR about this. Thanks to the people who comforted me CDS. Which is no one. Mr. Christopher was totally aware of the situations as well and he himself took. No action

Small bites appetizers like chicken souvlaki, eggplant Mediterranean goulash, shrimp spring roll, bulgur veggie salad & spanakopita was what the doctor ordered! Yes!!! We were blessed here & absolutely would return if ever in the area again!!! So beautiful this area!!! If flying to Canada from USA do the ArriveCan app. It made going through Canada immigration line more smooth & quicker. We didn't have to stop at an actual agent except to exit the immigration area. My wife booked the suite & we got access to the lounge as well. So we would love to return. Maybe for 2 nights next time!!! This was a beautiful hotel. And soundproofed too as well as being luxurious. Just wish our bodies could sleep better in an unfamiliar area. They even had a microwave with a refrigerator too! We were so surprised with that addition. Gotta love it! Oh almost forgot the deep soaker jacuzzi tub too as well as a full shower!!! That was a nice added bonus! I noticed too you can use this hotel for day use! Wow that's totally a gift!!! Wish it was in our city. They do have a pool & health club too! My wife booked this hotel bc it was rated one of the best airport hotels in the world. And they were right! Totally!!!

We paid extra for the TV cost us $800 and PAL workers inspected the TV and everything was ok. Anyway when we arrived in the Philippines, we are careful to handle it with care and transfer the television carefully. We unbox the TV after a week. The TV was mishandled and it's broken. Immediately I emailed Baggage Claim and they asked me to provide the proof we have for the TV. This is the last email to PAL BAGGAGE CLAIM...( All the stickers from the TV box it was submitted already to you these are the only stickers YVR provided to the tv box separated by boarding pass and the sticker for the weight of the tv. We took pictures of the box back to back and side by side. The proof we have is very strong such as a receipt, boarding pass, and stickers for the TV. The tv was inspected by the people in the Vancouver airport and it was ok and with no problem. Why you kept on asking me about the tag? The PAL worker checking the luggage is the one who assisted us measured and weight the TV and she asked my husband to bring the TV to the other side for inspection. After that inspected was successful and they proceed to check in the TV for oversize luggage. maybe the YVR PAL worker forgot to put the tag for the TV. I don't know anymore because that their job to complete the task before they proceed with the procedure for the TV. Of course, my first instinct was to look for local bus companies that could get us to Vancouver with all of our luggage. I had a difficult time! Everyone that took the time to respond (sadly, not many) told me that their insurance didn't allow them to travel to Canada. So, I picked another route and started calling companies in BC. Eventually I came across Perimeter Transportation. I sent an email explaining that we needed a bus that could accommodate at least 19 people with luggage and that we needed to be picked up in downtown Seattle at a parking lot near the cruise ship terminal and taken up to Canada Place cruise ship terminal in Vancouver. Not only was the pricing extremely competitive (made even better by the exchange rate at the time), but the customer service was impeccable. All of my emails were answered promptly and when I'd call, they very quickly located my information and were super helpful. At one point, they had emailed me to confirm an address and didn't hear back. They called and left me a voicemail. They never dropped the ball. A few days prior to our trip, I called to confirm (as I'd booked this a month out) and they knew exactly who I was, confirmed the pick up address etc. The morning of departure, when we arrived at the parking lot, the bus was already there waiting for us. The driver loaded the luggage and got us on the road. Our driver was perfect!! He was friendly, he was funny, he was unobtrusive yet super informative and engaging. If I ever need transport for a group to BC again, Perimeter will be my first phone call. Thank you Perimeter for letting us turn you into a party bus for a few hours!
