United First Class ticket holders have free access to this Lounge, since Air Canada and United have a partnership. Its located in the Pier E terminal which is exclusive to US bound flights. Nice to clear customs with a simple photo and passport scan at Vancouver! The lounge itself was a bit disappointing. Its great if you want to load up on alcoholic beverages or just want to relax and charge your gadgets. But for everything else the lounge is well below average compared to other lounges I've frequented during my travels. 1. Limited food options, and the one hot entree of Lemongrass Chicken has this starchy, thick sauce that was totally unnecessary and hiding the flavor and texture of the chicken. 2. Only one toilet and two urinals in the men's room which is really too small given the occupancy. Only one shower stall too which is laughable. 3. They have a make-yourself salad section, nacho chips, and a few vegetarian and beef wraps that were okay. The one bright spot were the fruit salad and the Nanaimo Bars. read more

The lounge is packed, and the people seem ravenous for food and the food trough. The bathroom stalls are pretty nasty. Some of the chairs are ripped in the lounge, and the carpets are stained. The service.is good though ,friendly and loads of people bringing out food and cleaning up. read more

The Maple Leaf Lounge is more of a club because you need to be a high spender or high traveling patron. The club is upstairs and overlooks the concourse. There is a variety of seating and some choices of food and beverages within the lounge. Everything is self service from the bar to the coffee and beyond. I thought the selection of breakfast foods were pretty good and the lunch was a little better except the staff was very slow to refill when it was empty. This is my second time here. A little less bad attitude by the check in person. I was able to get a shower. The food is still pretty bad. I guess they don't have to try hard. On the plus side, they still have a pour yourself bar. It was crowded and still with the not that comfortable furniture. read more

I was just glad to have a lounge I could go into that was in the Air Canada Terminal... I'm looking at you SeaTac. I will say, although I was glad to have it, this lounge did not impress as while I was finally able to find a charging station at the very very back bar seating area that had powered outlets (right side as you enter), the office room was locked, and almost all the chairs were missing plugs. The single one I found between two chairs didn't work. The elevator which takes you there has definitely seen better days but I was able to sit in the lounge and charge a bit before boarding, so overall three stars. read more

As we entered, there were two clerks at the front desk. A male clerk was helping another guest, while the female clerk looked at us without greeting us. She asked for our boarding passes and, after scanning them, immediately told us we couldn't enter because our tickets were not business class. We were confused because we believed we could enter using our AMEX card. However, she quickly dismissed us without explaining any other access options. It wasn't until the male clerk stepped in that we were shown which credit cards were eligible for lounge entry (such as Aeroplan metal cards). While looking at the list, my husband noticed the Chase Sapphire Reserve card -- the last card displayed -- which we have. Only then were we allowed to enter. Unfortunately, the service from the female check-in clerk left a very poor impression. She showed no customer service etiquette, seemed quick to judge that we wouldn't qualify for entry, and offered no effort to help clarify the lounge access options. Her attitude came across as pretentious, as if we didn't belong there. Not the kind of service you want to receive after a 15 hour flight.. To make matters worse, the lounge itself was mediocre. This lounge feels more spacious than the Plaza Premium lounge, but its food is horrible. When I arrived the soup was out so I ate other food items first. The meatballs were cold even though they were kept inside a hot plate. The jasmine rice looked dry so I didn't even get any. The chicken wrap was ok. When I saw the server placed the soup pot onto the buffet table, I was happy since I was expecting it to be fresh and tasty. I was the first one to get a bowl of the 3 sisters soup but was surprised that it was lukewarm and the beans were not thoroughly cooked! Decent size lounge in the domestic terminal. Food quality and amount is about average for North American airline. The lounge is a bit tired and didn't have a lot of power plugs. It's usually very busy so a visitor may need to look around for an empty seat. I usually find a seat along the windows which have a good view of the gates and runways. One of the better Maple Leaf lounges. There's now an AC Cafe nearby which is more up to date. read more

An underwhelming experience after having the opportunity to visit some different lounges this summer. Seating was a challenge to find due to the size of the lounge. Everything is self serve with a small snacks bar and beverage bar. The food area had small desserts (a cinnamon like cheesecake that was actually quite good) and then some chicken and veggie wraps plus rice and meat. The challenge was that the snack bar ran out of plates multiple times in the short time I was there. The bar had an average selection of wine/beer/liquor, sparkling water, etc. Nice to pop in for a brief time, but not a complete escape from the airport chaos I'd like in a lounge. read more

Maple lounge near D52 has wonderful staff and is large and isn't as busy. Dinner saw excellent options and beer on tap including Canadian lager. The place is nice and clean like all lounges, but I was disappointed by the morning services. The expresso machine was broken. The hot chocolate dispenser had no chocolate and just muddy water (like it ran out and water was just rising the pipe). Breakfast options was standard with hot (scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, oatmeal) and cold (yogurt, fruits, pastries) food. This is the second maple leaf lounge I went to in Vancouver and it was near E85 after you clear customs to return to the US. You go up the elevator to access the lounge, where they will scan your boarding pass to see if you're eligible to go in. There were quite a few seats and depending on which side of the lounge you were sitting on, you could rather see the planes coming in and leaving or people arriving off of flights and walking to customs. I prefer watching planes. The food is pretty standard for airport lounges. They had fruit, breads and bagels you could put through a toaster, oatmeal, coffee, juices etc. later in the day, the food would change and they'd offer complimentary alcohol. But since we were at the lounge in the morning, no alcohol for us haha. Some of the other reviews mention a restaurant. I want to find that lounge haha oh well. Next time maybe. read more

I stopped in here on my way back home and was extremely displeased. Whilst sitting, I saw something scurry around. Thinking it was a bird, I looked under a chair and realised it was a mouse. When I want to the front desk to inform them, they were always aware of the situation, said they had already called an exterminator and traps had been placed. That's all fine, but why is this lounge still open? I am shocked that this is fine with Canadian health codes. Food is served in the lounge and this is extremely unsanitary. read more

We were quickly admitted after scanning our boarding passes at the front desk. With Star Alliance Gold status I was able to include a guest for free. It was a few years since I last came here and not much has changed. There was a decent amount of open seating with inside views of arriving passengers and outside views of planes and gates. Seats were comfy for our almost two hour stay. The food options included make your own soft tacos, salad, tortilla soup, coleslaw, apples or bananas, refrigerators with sodas, Lavazza coffee maker, cookies, beer on tap and a self serve liquor bar. The tacos and soup were actually pretty tasty. Staff came around periodically to remove the used glasses and plates. When it came time to head to our gate, we only had to allocate less than five minutes to walk over to E74. Very convenient. read more

Only downside is it gets quite toasty next to the windows when the sun is out. There are seats that are cooler, so don't fret. PLEASE NOTE : There is another entirely separate Maple Leaf Lounge in the domestic terminal. NOTE: Unfortunately, you can only enter based on your status with the airline and Star Alliance. Guests can accompany that person with status, but probably will have to pay again based on the main guests status. You can't arrive as an individual and pay for access. The AC was not working and it was unbearable. We were not able to relax like we wanted. The food, drink and snack options were lacking. One of the two main dishes offered consisted of chicken which was tasty. I wish they had more options than the chicken or veggie dish. There was nothing else besides the two dishes and cookies. Not the best signage (or any actually) to locate this lounge, it was right next to the Lululemon store and a farmers market. Once you do find the lounge, you will find ample seating and a decent selection of food and drinks. Alcoholic beverages are "serve yourself" which differs from the LAX Maple lounge. There is buffet style food, with 4 heated buffet trays (we had items, such as squash Mac n cheese, salmon, rice pilaf) and there are salad and veggies available, as well as a soup (minestrone was available when we were there). There is a coffee and tea station with many tea bag options available, as well as a specialty coffee station (cappacinos, espresso's ext). There are also assorted cookies in the jars, along with one dessert at the buffet station. The lounge was clean and comfy, and servers were friendly. read more

Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge is a member of Star Alliance, so was available for us to utilize during our layover in the transborder, Pier E terminal of YVR. Not particularly well signed on the outside, we were initially unaware that this was an Air Canada lounge, or open to Star Alliance members. We had to walk to the information desk on the other side of the terminal to inquire, and then trek back to this side of the terminal, which happened to be near our gate. There is nothing downstairs, so you'll have the take the elevator/stairs up to the 2nd floor, where the check-in desk is at. The lounge is pretty spacious, and offers an excellent view of the gates and planes outside. There are multiple (working) outlets available, and when we entered, was not very busy. So seating near an outlet was never an issue. The food selection here is VERY limited (think 1-3 hot food dishes that were average, and some less desirable cold items). BUT, it does have an open bar with plenty of alcoholic beverages at your disposal. Service is very friendly, and the staff periodically walk by to clear your table of plates and garbage. Pretty good option if you just need a place to rest, charge your electronics, and need a drink with a few bites. But for heartier dining options, this lounge is definitely lacking. read more

Possibly the best AC Maple leaf lounge I've ever been to (not comparing with Signatire lounge which is in a different league). I'm impressed by the variety of drinks and food selection including 9 different wines, an extensive cocktail list and made to order rice and noodle dishes plus more). We came here for breakfast. It was mostly bread products (toast, bagels, donuts), hard boiled egg, and yogurt. The fruit that they had was not very sweet but that could be due to seasonality. So in terms of food, the selection is pretty sparse but the lounge was clean overall. We were there when they opened but I noticed it got super crowded by the time we left. I don't think I will be back to visit if its during breakfast hours. read more

We travel frequently and have been in a lot of lounges and Canada stands out as one of the best. The food is kept so clean and fresh and there is plenty to pick from. You could have the salad bar or wraps and even have a mixed drink. I appreciate the variety of drinks and chips and cookies and bars. They also have fresh fruit. When you are traveling especially the last few years we really appreciate the ability to come here and eat and relax. It makes such a difference in a stressful airport. Thanks Air Canada. read more

This lounge is probably one the better ones on the domestic side of a YVR. It's spacious and has many seating arrangements and lounge areas coupled with a dining room. The service is excellent despite how busy and crowded it was. Everything was also organized and clean, surprisingly, seeing that the food was self-serve. The workers are extremely attentive, and they cleared my dirty dishes twice within 30 minutes. There's a selection of food. There are 2 hot dishes, a soup and various salads. The food piping is hot, and I did see it replaced a couple of times during my stay. There is an open self-serve bar and tap, which is a huge plus. The restroom needs to be updated. There is a lot of noticeable wear and tear, but at least it was clean. The public YVR washrooms actually seem a bit nicer The Maole Lounge is overall a very positive experience, especially in contrast to the busy terminals outside. read more

It depends if you are flying international or domestic. There are three Maple Leaf Air Canada lounges at the YVR airport. One is in the International - D Gate, one in the US side - E Gate and the other is in the Domestic - C Gate. International - D gate is awesome. There are chefs cooking there. Better food. They have fresh hot food. They also take orders on request. Note that the international lounge was renovated back in 2018. Domestic - C and E gate are horrible.They are another sad lounge. Food is not good. Everything tasted somewhat gross. Alcohol is unlimited and free at all three lounges. There are pop and juice. Like always there are two different kinds of cookies and two different kinds of soups. Different kinds of snacks are serve at different times. The international AC lounge and domestic/US AC lounge are at different rating spectrum. The international lounge being 4 stars and the domestic/US lounge being 2 stars. Depending on what time you are traveling, it can be super busy. The busy time is when consultants are traveling. Thursday night, Friday and Sunday whole day and Monday morning. But again those are high travel times. Note: if you travel on those days, tickets tend to be much more expensive. I travel a lot for work. So, I don't pay anything to get into the lounge. If I had to pay, this would be a no go for me. I heard it is $50 per person (not completely sure about the price) and this is definitely not worth the price. read more

The purpose of having a Lounge available before your flight be it long or short is to let you catch up with your emails, scheduling, last minute meetings etc. And of course for leisure passengers to relax and read a magazine or two, have a drink and some snacks, catch up with your travelling companion. All these are done nicely at the AC Maple Leaf Lounge (YVR). The space is very open with large windows facing the tarmac viewing the planes you will be boarding. Staffs are friendly, they are attentive without being disturbing. All the surfaces are kept clean, and stations are always filled. Food variety can be improved to include more international flare, bar is extensive and I like the fact that there is a bar tender to interact with passengers while they are enjoying their cocktails or wines. Constant improvements and innovations is the norm in this highly competitive market, I hope Air Canada can at least maintain and keep service standards in order to keep passengers flying with them! read more

This lounge takes the prize for the worst service. We had a lot of dirty plates and they don't even bother to pick them up. You tell them that the food needs to be replenished and they think you're lying... the food was good, but limited food options like the one in LA. They had sliders when I visited and they were good, and they also had the salad bar and soup. read more

This review is for the trans-border (Canada-US) lounge. As others mentioned, it's a rather small venue. When I was there, maybe it was not their peak hours, so I had no problem finding a seat. The receptionist was super-friendly. In terms of food and beverage offerings, however, were sad and not appealing to me. Tried Thai curry soup (I thought), but it was just okay. One of the tap beer self-service machine was out of service and the only available option was Coors Light...really!? There's one shower room, so it might be convenient for someone flying to US through YVR from overseas. read more

Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge was not crowded during my visit. With ample seating space, the lounge offered a quiet place to relax before my flight. That was where it really ended. During my visit, the coffee machine was not working and there were no alternative options. It was either water, tea, or alcohol. The food offerings was also extremely limited with maybe 3 options. It just felt like the lounge was understaffed and not taken care of. The staff was solid but there's nothing they could really do to improve the lounge. I think overall since the volume was low maybe the airline cut back on food offerings? The lounge was nicely sized and could easily be a busy spot in the airport. Hopefully next time is better, but hey not a bad way to relax in a quiet zone just don't get your hopes up if you're hungry read more
