I can show her what I want and it comes exactlt like it or I can let her freestyle and I absolutely love it. I get a pedicure here and there but doing my nails has been a good experience here. I can't deny it, this place is that good. I recommend bringing cash because they charge extra to use your card. This place is sanitary. They sterilize the tools in an autoclave and they use plastic bags around the bowls ensuring that your feet are cleaned in a sanitary area. Not many salons in the 'hood do that. This one does. I don't think I was able to take the name of the lady who did my nails down. She did a pretty good job. The bottom of my feet are soft and cleaned better compared to what is done at Free Edge (my regular go to). I won't stop patronizing Free Edge but I will probably come here from now on because it's cheaper and the job gets done. The waiting time was a bit long and everyone requests Icy. So your best bet is to get here as quickly as possible. Their pedicures are $12, callus remover is $3 and their color gel manicures are $20 compared to your regular standard $35/$40. Can't beat that. Color used is Kiss Me I'm Brazilian on my hands and feet. Only difference is that my hands have gel polish. read more

Stumbled upon this place due to the reviews of yelp. And now I'm currently sitting here waiting for the polish on my feet to dry. Initially came just for a pedicure but ended up getting a gel manicure as well. This place is great. My feet and and hands look meticulous I'm definitely impressed. Before I came my feet were terrible, I'll admit it. I've been so busy (lazy) lately that I just haven't had the time to do it. It gotten to the point I didn't even want to attempt to scrub them at home I just needed to get a pedicure to start fresh and swear to myself I'll never let them get that bad EVER AGAIN. Now, my soles are sooo smooth it feels like butter, actually scratch that, they feel like honey butter. That alone gives them the 5 stars. The shape of my nails are a perfect square just the way I wanted. And the polish couldn't be smoother, best $15 I have ever spent and that includes the extra $3 for "the medicine" -which is just callus remover. My nails are decent as well. The only problem is I chose a ugly color, not sure what I was thinking, guess I wanted to try something new. Hopefully it'll grow on me. But nether the less it does not take away from the awesome execution. The precise strokes used by the manicurist makes my manicure flawless, yes I said FLAWLESS. So yes they deserve the five stars, if not for my feet then definitely for my hands. I'll keep you guys updated on how it last in the upcoming weeks. read more

I love this nail salon. This is my resident salon but be prepared that greatness comes with a wait. They are well versed in all the current trends and that shows in the prices as well. With that said the manicurist take their time to do proper work, they are very sanitary and are always courteous even thought their English is not the greatest. They have a huge assortment of nail polish brand and types from etsy to opi to Klara sky etc. Icy is the best at doing nails but she is always requested by all the patrons so the wait to do your nails with her is always long. read more

Ohhhh Weeee! This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. At first, I completely missed this place when trying to locate it, but boy am I happy I found it. I walked in on a Tuesday night and only one other customer was there. I began with a pedicure and then received a manicure with gel acrylic tips. I was weary about having a man do my nails due to past horrible experiences, however Foo was so meticulous, diligent, and committed to slaying my nails, I sat down wondering where he has been all my life. He scrubbed the bottom of my feet with care while also ensuring I was comfortable. The pedicure bowls are covered with plastic and removed after each customer is finished with their services, so I definitely liked the sanitary practices of this places. The prices are amazing also! Only $12 for my pedicure (extra $3 if you want callus remover) and $34 for my gel acrylic tips. Foo actually guided me when I chose the colors for my nails and I'm so glad he did. I've never stirred away, she is caring, always had my nails on [point]. Years ago her husband use to do my nails, so they're both great artist. They do clean, amazing work. They did my nails very well as far as shaping and design but I just did my nails on Friday today is Wednesday I already had to go back on Monday because somr rhinestones had fell of prior to this. Now two days later my gel nail polish is chipping off and I believe it's because they didn't use a base coat for my gel polish they just put the nail polish directly on the nail and it was very expensive just for me to have to go back twice to fix things. I wanted to try this place out a couple of times before i did a review. A friend of mine recommended it to me. I live in the area so its extrememly convenient. I would say there is a small language barrier, but for the most part the staff understands what you are saying. I usually only get my nails professionally done when i have a special occasion coming up or if im going on an extended vacation. Ive only been here a couple of times and i cant complain about their work. They tend to try to mimic a design if you bring it in. I always tell them not to file my nails too much . I bring my supplies where ever i go so im not to sure about their utensils. All of my gel manicures have lasted almost 3 weeks. I usually remove it because the new nail growth is not really cute. Overall, they do good work. As far as payment goes, they charge extra for credit card payments. So i usually pay with cash. Its a place worth trying out. read more

I've been here twice now- What a find! Gel manicures for $20?! I was skeptical, but ended up pleasantly surprised. My gel mani lasted 3 weeks! A week longer than expected. Although I did have to wait twice as long as they quoted me, the product made up for it! The guy that works there did a wonderful job. Just left with my second gel manicure, (didn't even have to wait - Friday @ 1pm) and although my French tips aren't the most even, the lady was pleasant and very thorough. This was my first time at this nail salon and I was looking forward to getting my nails from Jenny since I saw her work. To my greatest surprise she was very rude and aggressive when I told her the nail shape and design and how I wanted it she caught and attitude and her response was "just let me do it". She started to roll her eyes and when I gave her my money she gave me my change with an attitude and said something in her language. I was supposed to get a pedicure there but because I was disappointed in her behavior I walked out and found another shop. I'm not sure if she was in a bad mood but her behavior was uncalled for especially when I am paying for a service. On the bright side she did a good job but she needs to work on customer Service. Don't go here! It's that simple, I've been here about 2 times, the first time was fine. I was mostly on my phone and taking a nap. A gel pedi is about $23, you can't beat that right? WRONG! The second time I went for a Gel Mani/ pedi & under arm wax. While was waiting for my turn this time noticed the nail techs making horrible faces at clients feet openly and obviously talking about them. It was very rude. Mind you both times I've been there someone is either complaining or arguing about the way their being handled/treated. This experience for me was horrible I finally sit to get a pedi, everything is fine I'm trying my best to ignore the rude lady doing my pedi, I just wanted to be in and out. She finishes and I'm waiting to get my manicure it was taking some time so I asked the Technician if I can do my under arm wax, she looks at my under arm and shakes her head then goes over to the other technicians while looking at me and talking. I was shocked that they were this blatant. I approach the only woman that seems to speak English and ask her if I can speak to a manager to make a complaint. She says she's the manager, she's currently doing someone's else's nails so I ask if we can chat after she's finished. I also remind her I'm still waiting to get my mani done ( which I told her initially) and ask her if she's going to do it. She tells me someone is before me. I remind her that I came before this woman and I'm uncomfortable with the way the other technicians have handled me. She told me I can sit down and wait or leave! And I left! This is unfortunately a sad display of Asian people who set up shop in Black people neighborhoods And don't have enough respect to provide basic customer service to people who are spending their hard earned money. I would never again spend money where I am not respected at the bare minimum because the price is cheap. They don't deserve to be in business with the way they treated me and other women in there. If you have any self respect you would go to an establishment that does a good job and treats you well. I hoped on a train and went to Stylish Nail where the customer service was top notch ( they even asked me if I wanted wine, champagne, coffee, or water) the job was impeccable and the establishment was clean for just $10 more. While I was initially happy to be served right away, I was horrified to see that none of the tools (electric nail buffer, nail file, etc.) used appeared to have been properly cleaned/sterilized between customers.
