Z auto service has been awesome. Kevin was the associate who handled my issue when bringing in my Bronco Sport, and did so efficiently, and with friendly service and was very patient with me helping me organize payment upon my cats return. While no car repairs are ever cheap, I found their prices to be fair, and did not try to "diagnose" and "repair" and frivolous services, like many auto repairs are known for. In fact, they cautioned me on things I knew needed replacement like my brakes, that were separate from my check engine light problem, and took care of noticing and replacing my rear windshield wiper free of charge. I am now having my engine light on again, and under the warranty he is helping again, to take care of it, and was told by phone that they will assist with rental reimbursement as well, since their loaners are limited to 35 miles/day, and my driving needs exceed that. Also Kevin called me an Uber to the rental place! I will update this post once I hear more from the diagnoses of the light coming back on. But still very satisfied with their service, attention to detail, and friendly, and trustworthy service. read more

First, the pros. They cleaned my car out without me asking which was nice & the manager Christian was a friendly person. They also were nice enough to call me back to install some fender clips that they forgot to put back on. Now, the cons. I needed to get a tensioner belt & assembly replaced because it made the car unable to be driven. I found out later that they charged me double what Brakes Plus would have for the same exact service. I also had them do a full inspection & come to find out that they wanted to charge me to replace a windshield washer hose which they said was cracked but it really wasn't. The bottom of the tank is cracked as I suspected initially. They also wanted to charge me more than double what Brakes Plus did to get my brakes & rotors replaced. I got Brakes Plus to remachine the rotors which is an option I was not given at this shop. This place is insanely overpriced. When I mentioned that I should have gone to Brakes Plus to begin with, Christian began to explain their 3 year warranty, guarantee, & certified techs, & then insulted the abilities of people working at Brakes Plus. Also when I was called back to get the clips back on, I felt really bad negative hateful energy from the secretary at the front desk. The blonde, I think her name is Amber. She didn't do a bad job, but it's weird when someone is pissed off at you for asking questions & covering your ass. She very much did not like the fact that I wasn't going to let them do my brakes & was shaking her head like I was choosing danger over safety. The car was completely fine driving it to Brakes Plus 9 minutes away. I understand they like to treat their services as a premium product. But here's a sales tip, don't try to sell a premium product to people who don't want it. Especially when most people come in & feel like their kind of stuck having to get service done in order to have a vehicle. I should called a tow truck for the car & had Brakes Plus do all the work. Luckily I only lost about $350.00 on that repair. THERE IS A REASON THEY DON'T LIST ANY TYPE OF PRICING OR PRICING STRUCTURE ON THEIR WEBSITE! read more

I do not recommend. I came to this mechanic after looking at the amazing reviews to get my 2020 dodge journey AC replaced. Another reason was because my car uses a specific type of Freon machine 1234yf. This auto body shop happened to have this so I scheduled an appointment. I dropped my car off at 7:30am Monday morning 6/17/2024 to run a diagnostic for $88.00. At 12:37pm I received a text with a link that showed me a list of stuff that was wrong with my vehicle. I agreed to get my AC compressor replaced, an oil change, and a new Sway bar for total of $1,861.55. I left my car over night and next day my car was ready for pickup at 2:24pm. I was under the impression I was getting a new AC compressor not a previously manufactured one. I picked up my car up around 4:30pm and within 30 minutes my car started to make a noise coming from the compressor. I returned immediately with my vehicle questioning what the noise was and they said I wouldn't be able to return the car until the morning, which I did at 7:30am June 19th. They inspected it for about 15 minutes and I was told it actually was the AC compressor (previously manufactured) that was not a brand new one and they would have to order a brand new one. They also said that their loaner wouldn't be available until Wednesday June 26th at 10:30am. So I waited the week with my car making a horrible noise. I dropped my car off and was told repairs would be done Friday the 28th in the afternoon. They texted "dodge is ready for pickup" at 3:43pm then texted again "Disregard , need to check the cabin filter. I'll text you shortly" at 3:46pm. I was given another link saying I need to remove & replace my engine coolant thermostat housing but that my AC compressor was all fixed. I agreed to get the thermostat replaced and left my car there over the weekend. Monday morning on July 1st I texted asking for an update on my vehicle and was told it was going to be done mid afternoon. It was ready at 3:30pm. I picked up vehicle up & paid another $314.00. The car was running fine but on July 10th the car starts to overheat but only when we are at stoplights or the car is parked & still on. We couldn't use the AC because it would make it overheat faster. We ruled out it was the thermostat AGAIN. So after going back twice for the AC compressor and now the thermostat twice I do not recommend this mechanic shop. They do not throughly inspect the vehicle and the job they do before returning the vehicle to its owner. I spent $2,200.00 on the AC compressor, the sway bar, & thermostat. They did refund me, on July 16th after a month of having to go back & forth, for the thermostat but I did not want a refund I wanted my vehicle fixed. I cannot even use my AC now that I originally went in for. I am leaving this review to prevent another customer of having to experiencing the lack of care and inconsistency that this shop has provided not only me but my family also. read more

Everyone there is very informative on what they are doing and overall takes very good care of you're car. I've had many problems with my Ford Escape over the past few months and the car is working like brand new after all the maintenance i've gotten done by them. I was referred to Z's Auto Service by an employee from O'Rileys. My car was packed and I had left Brighton, Co to move to Phx, AZ when we realized we would need a new battery. We stopped at O'Rileys got it replaced and also had the starter and alternator checked. We were told by the employee at O'Rileys that the alternator was bad and went to Z's to get it replaced. The lady at the front desk was so kind and patient and they knew we needed to get on the road right away. The car was tested and it ended up that the alternator was working just fine. I found myself in a pickle a three weeks ago with my long time car. I needed to tow my car that wouldn't start or would immediately overheat if started to a shop and I had no idea where to go. It was about 530pm in a week night and being newer to the area without a known local auto shop I frantically called Z because they were closely located to see if they had time to take a look at my car. They were so welcoming and started looking at it first thing the very next day. They were so up front and knowledgeable, and ran any recommendation and cost by me before doing any work. Troy is great at explaining the mechanics of what was going on with my car and even sent educational videos to back up their recommendations. I'm a visual person so those videos were great for me! I wasn't quiet ready to take on a new car payment but I also didn't want to pour a ton of money into this car. In my opinion their rates were beyond reasonable, especially considering the quality work they did, and thanks to Z's I'm back on the road in my current car! They even followed up with me last week to make sure everything was still running smooth. So happy to have found my new go to neighborhood auto shop! read more

I had my car worked on by another company. They replaced out my rotors and pads that had been grinding. After a test drive they said my brakes were spongy (which they had never been before ). They said they found air in the line and that they bled it off. I took the car home but noticed some sponginess in the brakes. I waited and checked the fluid and it never got better so took it back to the company I had the work done at. I had to sit for 45 min for them to even look at it 45 min to check it and they come back saying the master cylinder was bad. I looked on a hyundai website and it states this is not a common failure in this vehicle. I ask for the cost and it takes the man 1 hour to give me a price. Which was $500. I took my car from them because I knew something was weird. They tell me it isn't really safe and to drive carefully. My parents and close friends had taken their vehicles to Rick's. He looked at my vehicle when going to bleed the brakes he noted there were no tool marks to show the previous company had bleed them. He checks the line on the front right and sees that it is dry . He calls me to let me know the master cylinder is bad I ask him to repair it. His price quota being $175 less then the other company. He called a dealership for the part and they also say this is not a problem they usually have on my car. By the next morning he gets the part and repairs my car by 9am. Much quicker then was stated even by the other company. When I arrive he states that the other company had not bled the brakes, and had most likely test drove the vehicle not having bled the brakes which had made the master cylinder fail. That they should have never released the car in the first place the first time. I asked if he could sign the paper to say what he had found and he said he would be more then happy to talk to them about what he found. He was fair with price on the part and his labor also. I would recommend to anyone who wants a fair and reasonable mechanic. He won't be taking credit cards starting in Oct, due to rising charges and doesn't want to up his rates for the credit card companies to keep prices reasonable and I applaud that.
