We tried to have dinner here on Monday night, Ms. Bernadette from the hotel we was staying at, recommended this restaurant and gave us coupons for the Z Bar & Grill. We arrived just past 8pm and the lady informed us that the kitchen had just closed early because it was an extremely slow night. Even though the hours on the door says they close at 10pm and the sign in the hotel I believe it said 11pm. So sorry we didn't get to try out this restaurant. Friends told me about this place before I moved here. They said the service was terrible but the food and venue overall was really cool for the area. I came in on a Friday where it was not busy at all. We were at our table for an hour before anyone came to ask if we wanted something to drink. I had every intention of ordering food. I got my first drink from the bar and when someone finally came to our table it had been a full hour. Service is terrible, I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We needed a last minute caterer for an event and Z Loft went above and beyond to help make our night a success. From start to finish, the Chef was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. She helped me brainstorm menu ideas on her day off and texted me during the dinner to make sure everything went smoothly. Our party was larger than they could accommodate on site, but they were able to pack everything nicely for us to transport to our event location. We had spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken Alfredo, fried ravioli, salad, and their amazing breadsticks. Everything was absolutely delicious and we had more than enough food. This place is amazing, definitely a hidden gem! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! I had the philly steak sandwich and it was delicious! Staff was very attentive and helpful, they even got me to try dessert! Their chocolate lava cake was to die for, as soon as I broke open the cake, ooey gooey warm chocolate starting oozing out, and if that wasnt enough it comes served with ice cream! Food 4, Drinks 1, Service 4-Saturday night around 9, the place wasn't too busy and had a nice atmosphere. The food was worth the price. Ordered the Black and Blue burger which was quite good. My girlfriend ordered a pleasing burger as well. The drinks need work. I had a dirty martini that was ok at best, unfortunately I had discovered a gnat in an olive. The waitress comped the drink, no problem. Since it was Ladies Night she had a margarita off the special menu. It was rather weak and didn't quite taste right. She had also ordered a second drink( Make-up Sex) from the regular menu that was great. The server was pleasant and prompt. read more

We stumbled upon this eclectic and totally cool eatery on our way to the airport from Ft Leonard Wood one evening. It's behind the Holiday Inn, and it's a hotel and restaurant. The food was amazing, and the service awesome. I got the fried chicken salad, and there was sooooo much chicken it was ridiculous and delicious. The other dudes got burgers and a grilled chicken sandwich, 5 stars for sure. Get the appetizer nachos, they are sprinkled with some type of spicy/mild seasoning, best ever. read more

This was my first visit to Z-Loft bar and grill, I had a very positive experience. Our group had a private party on the patio for our 40th High School Reunion. The food was excellent especially the walnut salad and the service was great too. Since our food was pre-ordered, we had plenty of time to mingle, have a drink before the food arrived. We only had the patio for a few hours before it was open to the public, to be honest, I was concerned about it becoming loud and crowded when karaoke began. Bad service. Went there and ordered food and drinks. Food came and our drinks followed about 20 minutes later. Asked to speak to a manager and no one came to the table. So this is by far the worst service I have ever had...I called in to order food 30 min in advance....once there I waited an additional 30 minutes for my food....upon return to my house the food was cold as hell the wings were just doused in sauce to cover up how old they are...will never return to this establishment ever again!!!! read more

The food is good for sure but I don't think anyone should support this business. The overpriced meals and drinks aren't worth it. You'll have to wait forever if there are more than a couple tables there because they seem to get overwhelmed and there is no reason a drink should take 30 minutes or that the food should take over an hour. Make sure to check your potatoes because every time I eat them there are hard parts on the edges where there wasn't enough moisture in them, the cooks failed to stir them but they'll still serve them like that. When food has been sent back they just send the old item back because they think nothing is wrong with it and that you're just complaining to complain when you're the one that is paying for the meal in the first place. I think that the el jimador up the road has better quality and you'll get your food quicker or go to ichiban! But z bar I'm good on that, and I have grew up around the area. read more

I have had over 5 dishes at this restaurant and I have yet to have something I did not like. It is definitely the best place to eat at while in St Robert. The wings are delicious, the bourbon burger is great, the Philly Cheesesteak is money and I would keep going but I don't want to talk forever. Jenni is the best server at this restaurant. This is by far the best Bar and Grill in Saint Robert!! The service is right on point. The staff is very personable and make you feel very welcome, including management, they make sure that every guest in the place is pleased with their experience. The food menu has a great variety for a bar and grill and the food is excellent!! They have awesome specials every night of the week. The specialty drinks are very unique and taste great! I've been to Z-loft many times since they've opened and in the beginning I was extremely happy with the place. Great food great atmosphere, great service, great employees. But my most recent visit was probably the worst I've ever experienced. While my burger was great and Alicia was awesome, I couldn't help but be alarmed when I saw one of the Farris sisters ( I'm unsure of her name) yell at Alicia in front of everyone in the restaurant including her tables. It looked to me that Alicia had stopped to talk to a guest and the sister came up behind her and began yelling at her. I don't know what Alicia did if anything but nothing warrants that kind of behavior in front of guests and especially coming from a manager or owner of the place, it's very un professional on her part. I don't like to see employees treated like that in front of guests, that stuff needs to be handled behind closed doors. Seeing how she treated her employee made me not want to eat there again. Such a shame because the food is amazing but they treat their employees like crap. read more

Ive been to this location 3 times. First with 3 people. Nice place, reasonable prices. Small though. The second time was for a cook out using the pit provided for people staying at the Z Loft. Had a group of 15, was threaten by employees that they were going to call the police if we got loud. Seeing that we were not loud then, we decided to pack up and leave because we were not sure what "loud" meant to them. We decided to come back a second time to participate in karaoke on "Guys Night". The accommodations, or the lack of were horrible. No one was there but the group I was with could not be in the patio area unless we purchased bottle service of $125 and the booth was very limited with seating. We decided not to participate in Karaoke and find tables and seats at the bar inside. Our group grew and people where standing up because we were not allowed to sit at all the "reserve tables" that were empty. We were told he had to find a place to sit or leave but still were not allowed to sit at the empty tables. I havent had a chance to speak with management yet but will attempt to. The Bar and Grill is fine but if you have a group, go somewhere else, apparently Z Loft Bar and Grill cant and refused to accommodate groups more than 3-4. read more

Had a terrible experience here. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. Same for the service, but she was really nice. My issue was with the business practices of this establishment. The worst thing a company could do is have shady business practices, and that was definitely going on here. When we got to the restaurant we let our waitress know we had a gift card and coupons given to us at holiday inn that we were going to be using. When we went to pay she came back saying they for some reason couldn't put them on the same bill, which is stupid but we said that's fine they could just split the bill and put our appetizer on a separate bill. She then came back saying no they can't do that because they couldn't have "2 promotional items on a table". Since when is a gift card a promotional item? It's a gift card, not a meal voucher or coupon, it's SUPPOSED to be usable as cash at the place it's for. And if we couldn't use them together why were we not told that before we ordered and said we were going to. And why couldn't we use them on two different bills for that table, that's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. read more
