Worst haircut I've ever had. I was very clear that I wanted long layers. We agreed to trim 2-ish inches off of the bottom. Hairdresser did not know how to cut layers, and chopped off half of my hair length, meaning 10 inches. I told them the haircut was not what I envisioned, and then they told me my hair was thinning, and that was the reason they could not cut layers. Then they told me, my hair was long, despite it barely crossing my shoulders. Do not get your hair cut here, they do not know what they are doing. read more

I love this place! The price for the entire face threading is only $15 and they do an excellent job making sure not a hair is left on your face (besides your eyebrows perfectly shaped). Bina is my favorite. She does my face every time and she is so sweet. Also, be specific. If you're going in to just get your eyebrows "cleaned-up" let them know so they know not to change the shape. Annoying! My story may be different, but this is what happened; I'm an attractive, gay, 21 year old male from California and physical appearance is important to me. I get my eyebrows threaded ALL the time in different city's throughout the U.S. NEVER have I been told "We can't do your eyebrows here." I was shocked! They don't do men's eyebrows? I am always in search of finding a close, decent priced eyebrow salon. I finally found a winner. now that is if they keep their awesome eyebrow threading price of $4.99. I don't agree with paying more than $5 for eyebrow threading. So this is definitely a convienent location for me, right off of where I live and also work! I normally come here during my lunch break and have only had to wait max 15 mins. I love when they listen to me about how I want my eyebrows shaped. I am trying to grow mine a bit thicker, and they always make sure and leave a line to help growth. Cheap threading, but as other Yelpers noted, they like to upsell you on other services. I bought a facial with my eyebrow threading and was rather pleased with the experience as a whole--at least, my face enjoyed the pampering. The back room where I received my facial was a simple partitioned area with very dim lighting and a comfortable bed; but I did worry when my "aesthetician" used a washcloth to wipe down my face in several passes. But again, my skin did not reject any of the "natural" products that were used, so I couldn't complain. I was less pleased when my eyebrow threading resulted in brow stubble a day or two later. read more

I've been coming here for couple years for eye brow threading. I will continue to do so. I like my brows thicker than normal and I always leave with great brows. Although this salon may be somewhat adequate at waxing/threading eyebrows their staff is insanely rude and disrespectful. My best friend has been going to this salon faithfully for several years however after a rude encounter with an indecent and wildly unprofessional employee, she will no longer step foot in this salon. I am never one to write negative or rude reviews, but I feel very strongly that they should be aware of how their words affect others. It is fairly simple to be a kind human being, with that being said I guess this was too high of a bar for this salon. Under no circumstance would it ever be appropriate to make comments about someone's physical appearance, especially if this person is a LOYAL CUSTOMER. Last time I checked, someone's weight has no bearing on their worth as a person- and in NO way affects a worker's ability to do their eyebrows. Customers arrive to this salon expecting an experience and a simple business transaction, what they are receiving instead is unwarranted criticism and negativity. I strongly encourage this salon to reconsider the basic lessons of kindergarten, if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. Please move forward with some scrap of dignity. Z Salon needs to realize that customer service is the hallmark of every good business. They make unnecessary and belittling comments about your skin and are rude. I have eczema and am very aware of it, yet they point it out almost every time and provide unsolicited medical advice. Furthermore, after arriving promptly for my appointment, I was told to go wait in my car in the scorching heat and never received a call from them that they were ready for me. They need to learn better customer service skills; running a business is more customer service than it is the quality of your service/product. I will not be returning and suggest that you do not go if you care about the way you are treated. They treat their friends and most loyal customers well, but everyone else is simply just a transaction for them. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!!!! I've been getting wax done every 4-6 weeks for the past so many years now and I've been to many different salons, but this was by far the worst experience I've had! I tried this place because it is close to my house, but I will NEVER go back!!!!! I went there for my arms waxing today. The wax was hotter than it should have been and when I told the lady, she didn't bother to turn the temperature down.. And later towards the end she pulled off my skin with the wax strip!!! I kept telling her I've sensitive skin but she didn't care at all!! I told the lady at the reception ( I think she's the owner of the salon as well ) and her response was I am sorry, I can give you $5 off. Seriously?!? That's all you say to your customer?!?!?!? I told her I do not need any discount and I'm never coming back here again! She stayed quiet with her expressionless face!!!! I've never experienced anything like this before!! The last two times I came here Puja was not around. The older woman did my brows and for the first time, I know what it feels like when Americans walk into nail salons and hear people talk in their native tongue. I'm pretty sure they were talking about me in their native language because the woman doing my brows was talking to the other one while looking at me with judging eyes. I don't give a crap about what they think about me. I have decided I hate this place more than I love it so I quit going. There are other threading places around. The owner is snobby and acts like this is the only holy threading place to go. Your competitions are just a mile away!!! I hate it when they up sell you other stuff you don't need. I swear one time, I walked in and she compliments my skin saying its glowing because she assumed I got a facial done there. Well, I didn't and I have never gotten a facial done anywhere. Be sure to explain how you like your eyebrows done. I've been going here for 3 years now. Very cheap at $4.99. I've gotten one or two eyebrow threadings where they didn't look right. Luckily mine grow back really fast. So next time they can be fixed. Also try to go during a slow time for quicker eyebrow. read more

I got a Groupon and had been here twice. The first time they messed up my brows :-( but I thought of giving them another try because I had three visits for the Groupon. This time there was a different young lady who did my eyebrows. My eyebrows haven't looked great in years. It was too good to the extent a stranger asked me where I got it done and complimented me on how great they look. I am definitely going back but will not get it done by anybody else other than her. I started coming here due to a Groupon deal too. Although they may try to up-sale you. Other places have done the same, but most of the time I've come here it's usually, "Do you want to do your upper lip?" (NO SHAME!, but no). Other than this, it's really the only question I get asked. In the beginning, I use to go to the Indian threading salon at the Vista Ridge Mall and when I came here they told me whoever did my eyebrows last time was doing something wrong because the eyebrows weren't aligned. She was nice enough to show me and it was true it looked like they were grabbing more hair from one side than the other. They do a pretty good job, and I really can't complain for $4.99 when I usually pay over double this for the same service. If you're simply looking for a decent eyebrow threading service and don't want to overpay, I recommend this salon. I'm not saying their perfect, but they get the job done, and I'm happy with them.
