Uber eats date: February 7, 2022 Still battling my most recent food issues, very bad for my wallet and my waistline but good for yelp. Anyway in my most recent fresh maniac moment even though I probably ate enough for the day I decided to order a vegan chicken parm hero, full of gluten even though I haven't eaten gluten in forever because I have a sensitivity to it and have been avoiding it for a few years. I think despite some possible minor brain fog I haven't reacted to it too badly, maybe I can eat it again once in awhile. The vegan chicken parm hero came from Tommy's Vegan Pizzeria which seems to be part of Za in Seaford. It was delicious. The tough part of being on Long Island, having lived in NYC, is finding food and other services after 10pm at night. Insert Za and its being open until deep in the night at 4am. I work at a nearby hospital and I'm so glad this place was open, nearby and even willing to deliver. Considering the number of bars nearby, it's probably in a prime location. We (my coworkers and I) have ordered from them in the past and they have a very wide range of different pizzas (including a macaroni pizza that is REALLY heavy). On my last visit, I was greeted by this tall beauty with a great smile! I had a few pepperoni slices and some garlic knots that night. Now, were they the best I've ever had? I'm not so sure but the fact that they tasted good and were available at 02:45 in the morning compels me to give them the green light. A word of caution: Though they closed their dining room and only offer takeout and delivery for COVID-19, one of their workers didn't have a mask on. I didn't feel endangered since I had an N95 on but I have to admit it caused me to question some things. Bottom line: Go grab a slice. What's yummy, and round, and makes THE perfect dessert for a 7 year old's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed birthday party? ZA's Nutella pie! We asked the guys to put a mix of berries on top (that we brought in), and they happily obliged. Thinking that the adults wouldn't be into a pizza for dessert as much as the kids, we put out 2 additional cake... but lo and behold, even the grandparents ate it right up! We had to cut the pieces smaller to make sure every one got a slice! The Nutella was warm and gooey, and the crust perfectly crisp and just the right thickness (thin). The cakes were absolutely unnecessary. It took about 25 minutes between when we called in to place the order, and when my husband got back home (we're 7 mins away). I couldn't be more pleased! We also tried their regular pie, to pre-game for the party. It was delish. Having just moved to Wantagh from Brooklyn, it's nice to find a spot that's close taste-wise to our favorites in Brooklyn.
