    Labneh Wrap

Great little Lebanese bakery in a nondescript strip mall in Northridge. We got the zaatar and cheese Manish, and a labneh vegetable wrap. Both delicious. Friendly and efficient service.

Food: - Chicken shwarma: good amount of chicken, greatly improved by the garlic sauce, bread wrapping tasted fresh - Margherita pizza: cheesier than expected, but tasty with the tomatoes

This restaurant has such a high rating with almost 1k reviews for a reason. They really do live up to the expectations. The food is delicious, I mean every bite will bring joy to your tastebuds, you can taste the authenticity. They had nice and helpful people working at the counter and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I highly recommend their humus and chicken garlic wraps.

Zaatar N More is the quintessential Mediterranean style pizza and wraps hole-in-the-wall. While small and unassuming, the staff is friendly and excited to share their food with you. For this visit, we tried an eggplant style zaatar "pizza", the chicken shawarma wrap, a falafel wrap, and baklava. The pizza was a delicately thin but fluffy treat with small crispy chunks of eggplant and a thin layer of juicy meat hugging the pita-like bread. The zaatar seasoning was a nice balance of nutty and zesty stop the savory goodness. For the wraps, the star was very clearly the chicken shawarma wrap. With fluffy pita wrap that was just the right thickness filled to the brim eith incredibly tender chicken, pickles, and a lovely soft fried potato that gave additional body and texture to the wrap. And the garlic sauce smeared within is fantastic, with a nice creamy consistency. This was perfection. Even the baklava and a really rich but pleasant sweetness to it with plenty of pistachio embedded between the layers of phyllo. This is nearly a two hour drive for us, but I would try to find another reason to make the drive. Zaatar N More is really exceptional and worth a try!

Well, today marked my first visit to this restaurant. We had been next-door ordering food from another restaurant, but I decided to try their wings and pizza. I compared them to other places, and I must say, they were hands-down the best. The flavors were authentic, the food was clean and unblemished, and the portions were generous. The owner was incredibly generous and offered to give us the food back if we didn't like it. I was so impressed with the quality of the food that I decided to pay for it myself. The staff was kind and courteous, and the atmosphere was educational. Some of the pictures on the wall were beautiful, and the place was clean and well-maintained. I really appreciate these things in today's society. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. I also had lemonade, which was just outstanding not too sweet not too tired just right.

First of all I was impressed how early this spot opened. Soon as we walked in let me just say the ambiance is so beautiful! All the service was smooth and VERY friendly. The kind gentleman gave me recommendations and was very patient. And the food? DELICIOUS. Had it Togo and even taking it Togo my food was still delicious !! Would definitely recommend and I'd definitely be back!

I got the stuffed cheese and Zatar as recommended by everyone. Is came out very hot. The dough was flaky . The cheese was melty and lots of zaatar and sesame seeds on top with a touch of lemon. However, Minus one star because they have increased the prices and haven't updated the board so BEWARE it's more expensive than the posted prices. Best for take out

Theres a reason why they have 5 stars. Small quaint location that makes it a bit cozy. Clean bathroom. Delicious mannaish, their "bbq chicken pizza", soujouk khachapuri. I saw a very difficult patron and they handled the issue with class. Staff is friendly and took their time explaining the menu too.

We drove an hour to try this place and omg so glad we did! It was absolutely worth the drive. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the restaurant is very cute. We tried these manakeesh: sujuk with cheese, muhammara with cheese, diala's special, lahmajun, zaatar, and nutella. And everything was so good. This is hands down the best manakish we've had in SoCal. Highly recommend this place!

Highly recommend this place. We were greeted by the owner when we walked in, and he was incredibly warm and helpful, walking us through the menu and helping us choose what to order. Every single thing we got was delicious. I love this spot because it's come up before as a casual option, like a place you could grab pizza and wings for a game night, and I always passed on it thinking I'd be missing out on more traditional choices. Turns out, you can absolutely get regular pizza and wings here, but you can also get some truly phenomenal dishes beyond that. The shawarma was amazing. The pickles were amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of place that works just as well for an easy night in as it does for trying something a little more special. We'll definitely be back.

    Lahme Ajeen
    Joe G.

Such a lovely restaurant nestled nearby Cal State Northridge. It may be easy to miss it while driving on Reseda Blvd, but I highly recommend putting this Lebanese restaurant on your map. With a party of 5, we went into town with our order of The Diala Special, Egg & Soujouk, Lahme Ajeen, Mini Cheese Bread, Chicken Shawarma, and Nutella Mannaish. Out of all that we ordered, "The DIala Special" was my favorite and certainly earned that Special name. It s named after owner Chef Hassan's own daughter. What all of our dishes have in common is homemade dough, and the Diala Special really delivers with its akawii cheese and sesame seed topping. It's similar to the Mini Cheese Bread, but just a bit more savory and added nuttiness in flavor from the sesame seed. The toasted, yet chewy dough wrapping both top and bottom really goes a long way here, and the stuffed cheese in the middle has such a delicious, mildly salty cheese flavor. The Mini Cheese Bread is still good even though it's missing the sesame seed because of the same akawii cheese used. It is also a bit thinner than the Diala Special since it is one layer of bread. The Egg & Soujouk was the one that took us a bit by surprised because we haven't really had soujouk before. Soujouk is a spicy, fermented and dry-cured sausage, and there is something in the spices (cumin maybe?) that really stands out, giving it a bit of a curry-flavor. It is good, but unexpected! On the flip side, the Lahme Ajeen felt the most traditional with its marinated ground meat mixed with tomatores, parsley, and onion over homemade fresh dough. Flavorwise, it is a bit polite by itself, but when you add a squeeze of lemon over it, the taste really livens up from the acidity! Our last meal, the Chicken Shawarma is probably the least interesting to me since it a bit underseasoned and somewhat forgettable. Finally, the Nutella Mannaish is simply rich and decadent! If you have an insatiable sweet tooth, this dessert is a must! It is a flatbread with Nutella, banana, chocolate syrup, sliced almond, white sugar, and pistacchio. I've never had Dubai Chocolate, but I would think it's similar to this. It is just melt-in-your-mouth goodness! Just like all the dishes, this Mannaish is generous in portion. All their dishes are shareables, so bring along a few friends and family to taste the tasty food from Chef Hassan!

I can't believe we didn't stumble in here until today! A bit tough to see from the street but there's excellent parking. Hassan, the chef/owner, was so welcoming and is clearly passionate about serving great, healthy, fresh food to his community. We turned over our ordering choices to him and he did not disappoint! We tried a handful of dishes and would certainly eat them all again. The homemade pickles were addictive. They have muhammara on the menu, which is tough to find. I can't wait to go back to this neighborhood gem and try more menu items!!

The bakery and restaurant share the same parking lot as Trader Joe's and I had no issue finding an available parking spot on Saturday afternoon. [Atmosphere & service]: There is a mural with two people baking saj bread and there are about half a dozen tables for in-person dining. I placed an in-person order and unfortunately the service was very slow. I eventually got my order after waiting close to 15 minutes despite the lack of customers. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Chicken Shawarma, Beef Shawarma, and Spinach Pie. They also have a display case of various baked items. Other items they sell here include Mediterranean specialty pizzas, plates (e.g. lamb gyro), Mediterranean breakfast, and flatbreads. *** Beef Shawarma Wrap (Beef, spread of hummus, fresh tomatoes, onions, and tahini sauce rolled and pressed to a crunchy toast - $18.00): The order came with two wraps. The filling was gooey and messy, but it had a very distinct flavor profile. Not too bad at all. Mini Spinach Pie (Raw spinach mixed with diced onion and sumac herb - 1 piece $2.00): It was not my cup of tea as it tasted very sour. *** A solid 3.5-star for the wrap, but bumped down due to inefficient service.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The sandwich was extremely unappetizing. The bread was soggy and falling apart, and the filling looked and tasted like it had been sitting out way too long. The fries were even worse, they tasted stale, like they were at least a day or two old, and had that chewy, reheated texture instead of being crispy. Definitely not something anyone would want to eat.

The friendly voice responded to my question with an answer of 'At lunch, at dinner, even at breakfast! It's always breakfast!' Well they certainly have Hubs' number! I opted for the Chicken Pesto Sandwich; hold the bread. It was ok, served on a generous bed of fresh spinach, but lacking the sun-dried tomato and no pesto garlic sauce, which it describes being tossed in. The Jack cheese looked like Kroger single slices. The side fries were thin and crispy, cooked just right. Hubs ordered the breakfast Three Egg Meat Combo: opted for burger patty, French fries in lieu of roasted red potatoes or fruit and toast over banana bread. It's moist with a crispy outer edge and the right amount of salt to taste but not be salty. Most of the items on the menu have pretty large portion sizes, and there is a vast selection of items. Nothing shouts out at us to give the food an upstanding 5/5, but this is still a solid pick for an American diner. Note that if you order anything with strawberries (including the fruit cup), you will get exactly 1 strawberry cut into 4 pieces to ration during your meal. Service: 2.5/5 There is one person manning the floor the majority of the time, and he does a good job managing multiple tables. We came in at 9 am on a workday and there were already 25 people in the restaurant, all managed by this one waiter. There is another person who pops in every now and then to deliver food and refill coffee. That said, don't expect to be checked in on often or to quickly get your order in. Also, special requests may or may not be satisfied-- I requested that the whipped cream in my waffle order came on the side, only for it to come right in the middle of my waffle. Atmosphere: 4/5 It's a lively place! This is a popular and long lasting restaurant for a reason. The music is not loud, and there is a comfortable amount of space between each table. I would recommend this place for a family meal, a casual work outing, or a date for an established couple. Final rating: 3.33/5 (rounding down to 3 on Yelp)
