Wife and I came here honestly because the pizza place next door was closed and I'm so glad this happened. We got the chicken wraps and for the price they were amazing but even price aside they were amazing. Chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly, coleslaw added a nice crunch and the tortilla was SO good. Will definitely be back!

Interior with self-order kiosks and lots of indoor seating

My mom and I found this fried chicken establishment randomly while walking to DSW from the parking structure. We were amazed at how large the interior of Zach's Chicken was. You order at a kiosk, but staff are available to answer questions and accommodate special requests. Plenty of seating inside, and you could also take your food to-go and just eat it at one of the many outdoor tables. We ordered the Hangry Zach, which comes with four tenders, some sliced pickles, and two sauces of our choice, and we added a side of fries. We requested half nonspicy and half spicy for the tenders, which they graciously honored. Tenders were crispy and meaty, definitely fried fresh. Piping hot yet not super greasy. The fries were the crinkle type, and they were kinda meh to me, maybe because they were too dry. We liked the Zach's Sauce, which is their "version of Chipotle Aioli," but the Nashville Kicker Hot Sauce was underwhelming and very watered down. Everything was a bit pricey for fast food - the total came out to over $19 for tenders and fries! I won't drive to Metro Pointe specifically for Zach's Chicken, but it was a satisfying quick meal after running errands.

I hadn't heard of this place until today when I looked up where to get a good chicken sandwich on Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised at just how tasty this chicken is. I love the sauce too! I would def eat here again. It doesn't get five stars because no one greeted me upon entering and no one said see you later when I left. Other than that, great overall experience.

Sandwiched between a business park and shopping plaza, I decided to try this place while charging my Lucid in the parking lot next door. Walking you are getter by kiosks, so if human interaction is your thing this might not be the place for you but I can appreciate keeping costs down and making food affordable, which I feel this place does. I had their loaded fries and fountain drink. I didn't really expect much but to my surprise the chicken pieces were super juicy and still crispy on the outside. A pleasant surprise. The sauce on it was good but I paid extra ($0.50) for a couple of different options. Crinkle cut fries, my fav, and a nice outdoor patio with waterfall sounds rounded off a good experience. If you haven't tried it, it worth a visit. Bon appetit

This place turned out to have one of the best fried chicken I've had in OC. It's very crispy and delicious. The coating is just right and delicious. The chicken wrap and slider was about $7 which was a great deal. The place looks quite well maintain and service was great.

Excellent chicken tenders! We did an order on DoorDash and were extremely pleased with the quality of the meal. The chicken tenders were super crispy and I loved the flavor of the batter. I also got the kaleslaw which I really liked a lot. It reminded me of collard greens and there was a delightful smokiness in the sauce. Hubby got a chicken sandwich and buffalo chicken fries. He said they were both pretty good. The tenders were a decent size and I only ended up finishing two of them but the third one heated up well when I airfried it the next day.

Had the chicken wrap and chicken tenders, both were absolutely delicious. The wrap was fresh and flavorful, and the tenders were perfectly crispy and juicy. Located in the Metro Pointe plaza, this fast-casual eatery is at the far end of the complex. They do the popular Nashville chicken sandwich thing (although they also serve beef burgers). All ordering is done at a kiosk then you take a seat and they call your name when it's ready. A sweet and helpful young woman came out to check on me as I started to order on the kiosk to let me know she was there to help if I had any trouble and sure enough I quickly did. I thought the screen froze up but it just needed to be swiped upward. Quit laughing; I'm old and feeble minded. Lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating is available. I sat inside and ate my Zach's Original sandwich (two chicken tenders in a brioche bun with pickles and their secret sauce), crinkle fries, and fresh squeezed lemonade. You can order your chicken at various spice levels but I got mine at the "easy" level. Which is the same a "pretty much none". The chicken had a delicious crispy exterior and juicy, quality, white-meat chicken beneath. These were the best chicken tenders I've had. The brioche bun tried to hold up but was too fresh and soft to hold together for the duration so I was picking up pieces with my fingers before I was finished. The lemonade was superb - I really liked it and would push you to get it as your drink if you like lemonade. The fries would have been good if not mercilessly over salted. After eating several I think my tongue dried up to resemble a raisin. Instead of ketchup I got a small container of their smoky sauce for dipping which I thought was pretty tasty and lived up to its name. I randomly ate here after going to a movie in this plaza and got lucky - I'm glad I tried it.

First time here and the slider deal $6.95 was so awesomely delicious! My daughter loves Canes and agrees the chicken at Zack's is just as good and even better! If you're ever is Costa Mesa, check it out!

Ordered online and was still crispy after 30 mins. Kool Zach ($12) - 2 chicken tenders, havarti cheese and ranch dressing on brioche bun. The chicken tenders were seasoned well. I only wish there was more ranch dressing. Sloppy Zach ($11) - 2 chicken tenders, kale slaw, pickles on a brioche bun. Tbh both sandwich tasted the same as they had the sweet and sour element. I chose the risky heat level and it was nice lingering spice. Sandwich was a good size but probably would order 2 for 1 person.

Tried the Zach's Wrap and added Fries to make it a california burrito for an additional $1. They had a deal for a $7 burrito so our total was only around $8! It was a decently sized burrito for $8. The sauce they had in it was good and I liked the veggies in it as well. Only kiosk order which was interesting and we came on a slow day. Only waited maybe like 5-7 minutes for the burrito as well.

They only offer self serve kiosks, no wait staff.

I stopped here for lunch on a weekday. I was surprised they don't have any cashiers, it's only self serve kiosks. I'm assuming they did that to save money, not a bad idea. Ordering was easy and fast, the kiosk user interface was simple to use. I got the sloppy Joe, and I wish I would have added a sauce because it was dry. The chicken and the kale slaw was good, just needed more sauce. My mom got the tenders and said they were good but too much breading. Overall, I would try this place again but get the wrap instead. The place it self was very clean, and staff seemed friendly.

As soon as I walked in I immediately noticed how clean it was! I walked straight to the self order kiosk and as soon as I got to it there was already an employee asking me and my friend if we needed anything. We ordered 2 of the Kool Zach and didn't wait long until our food got to us. I want to say it took a little less than 5 minutes but we were also the only ones there at around 11:30 - noon. The very nice worker brought us our food and then shortly after one of the cooks brought us a fresh side of Kale salad I ordered. The food was so great! It was fresh, moist, well seasoned, and had a super nice kick. The fries also tasted fresh and the seasoning was amazing! Every so often the worker came to check on us even as it got busier in there. I wish I got her name but she had red-ish wavy hair and glasses, definitely great at her job! Overall my experience and food were great here at Zachs and metro point. Also a shoutout to Kuko Nail Studio inside of Sola Salons suit #19!! My friends pink nails were done there and we're definitely going to be back to both spots! read more

I don't really care about chicken but this one really deserves a 5 star. It's the crispiest chicken I've ever had without it being too oily. The spice level is almost one level higher so I would do one level down. The fries are ok. I still have not tried the potato salad. The place is not too busy on my two visits so far so I can't comment much on service since I pretty much got my food within minutes. read more

Hard working staff but horrible ownership/management. Perfect example of cutting corners. My advice is to go there when you think you're gonna get hungry. Not enough staff to keep up with orders delaying your food. I saw the staff even running trying to keep up. I would hate working there. read more

One of our all time fave hot chicken spots, and we've tried almost all of them especially in the OC area. We've been here so many times and their chicken has always been consistently fresh, juicy and crispy! You can't go wrong with any menu item you order. I'm surprised they're not as popular as they should be. I would post pictures of our food but we already finished it lol. Can't recommend them enough! We always get chicken tenders with fries and kale slaw! read more

WOW. I just went here on a whim, and it is... phenomenal. The chicken is thick, juicy, fresh, and crispy. The spice level is perfect, the ingredients are fresh, the fries were perfectly coated and crispy, the potato salad was well-seasoned... absolutely zero complaints. So, I gotta say....I love this chicken, 10/10 best chicken and the crunch is amazing. There's only one thing I wish and hope for in the future. Me and my boyfriend love spicy food and we looooveee spicy chicken, and I mean we can handle a good amount of spice. In our opinion, there needs to be something in between Risky and Crazy Hot. The Risky isn't hot enough but the Crazy Hot is like... legitimately crazy hot. To the point where we can have maybe one bite and it takes at-least 5 minutes to recover in between. A kind of spice that makes you light headed and sweaty and on the verge of dying. We just want a happy medium between enjoying, and dying. read more

My new Monday spot! I waited for weeks to eat here and I'm so glad it lived up to the hot chicken hype. I throughly enjoy the size options I can get. The little Zach for when I'm not too hungry and then the original sandwich when I need more. Plus, the spices and the sauces are perfectly flavored as well. Lastly I love that they have kiosks. I don't feel rushed when ordering and the food comes out within 3-5 minutes which is great when you're on a lunch break. Couldn't recommend it more!!! read more

I ordered food delivery through ubereats. I love fried chicken and dont eat it often so when I do, I look for the good stuff. Zach's chicken tenders are perfect, even after delivery, still 5 stars. Thats not easy to do for fried foods, good job to ubereats for prompt delivery. I ordered the "risky" spicy batter on 3 tenders and "crazy hot" batter on 2 tenders with a side of kale slaw and craft lemonade. First off I love spicy foods and even grow my own peppers for home cooked dishes and sauces. Holy Cow is the "crazy hot" batter option HOT! i ate the two tenders and loved them, the spice level is up there with some of the hottest chicken wings flavors you can find at the big corporate chains but the flavor was amazing, not just fireball mouth with crap flavor. These are delish! If you cant handle heat stay faaaaaar away from the crazy hot. The "risky" batter is not that hot and also has great flavor, with a little more subtle kick. The dipping sauces are good, i ordered the aioli and the smokey bbq. Id get both again. Lemonade is better than store bought, tastes "craft" for whatever that means(squeeze lemon, add sugar- so crafty). All in all this place is a way better alternative to other fried chicken spots, a notch above Canes, way above and not comparable to KFC or Popeyes in my opinion. read more

The fried chicken is delicious- not overly breaded and the chicken is not dry. The grilled chicken salad is also delicious. I have gotten it several times to-go and they always put the hot grilled chicken in a separate container so the lettuce doesn't get soggy! Great customer service and friendly staff. read more

Love everything about this place. The chicken is flavorful and crispy, actually spicy for those who love spicy food, and the sides are equally amazing. My friend and I come here almost every day for lunch and the experience is always incredible. All of the servers are super friendly and the manager is always incredibly hospitable. Had two chicken tenders and potato salad. Husband got the brioche chicken sandwich. Plenty of sauces to choose from. Chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Potato salad was refreshing. You get more chicken than other chicken sandwich restaurants that we've been to. The price is VERY decent as well! read more

Chicken was perfectly cooked with the right amount of batter to give you that awesome crunch. I ordered the medium spice and it had a small kick. Will be coming back for their higher spice level. Absolutely amazing fried chicken sandwich! The Slippy Zach is delicious. Risky is a nice heat level, not too hot and if you're feeling really spicy the Crazy Hot has Ghost Peppers and some solid heat to it. They also have no spice and grilled chicken options as well. read more

The Serrano masked the overly chunky tri tip and my palate. If the Serrano chilis were diminished by a half or even two thirds, this would be a far better sandwich. When you run this special again, back off the Serranos by a considerable amount and chop the tri tip a bit more finely so one can eat it without having to eat oversized chunks. The quality is there, but the balance and execution were off. 3.4 stars
