I've been coming to this location for oil changes and other services for some time and have…read moregenerally had positive experiences. During my most recent visit, the employee who assisted me directly was professional, courteous, and helpful. Unfortunately, another employee, who was not involved in servicing my vehicle, made comments that left a negative impression. While I was checking out, he laughed and remarked that my tires were "bald." No one who actually inspected or worked on my vehicle had discussed any tire concerns with me, so the comment felt unnecessary and unprofessional. As I was carefully exiting the shop, the same employee called out, "Yeah, make sure you don't hit anything on your way out!" and continued laughing. Whether intended as a joke or not, the comment came across as condescending. Getting vehicle service can already feel intimidating, especially as a woman, and one of the reasons I've continued coming here is that I've never felt talked down to or made to feel uninformed about my vehicle. This was the first time I've left feeling that way. It's disappointing that one employee's behavior overshadowed what was otherwise a positive service experience. Because of this interaction, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I didn't have a copy of my insurance card; the young lady was kind enough to print a copy for me from my online policy. I had a daytime running light that had been out of service for weeks. I fully expected to pay for that in addition to the cost of inspection. Apparently the wiring was loose so I was not charged. In today's environment that level of honesty is extraordinary. I will continue to patronise Reliable Auto and recommend them to everyone I know!

We had taken our Kia Sorrento for an oil change while visiting the Albany area. It needed 6 quarts of oil to complete. We thought they probably forgot to reset the Oil Change indicator message afterwards so we reset it. Three days later, started getting dashboard messages for oil low, then today red check engine light. We did not see any visible signs of a leak but dash warnings were glaring. Looked up Yelp reviews for most reputable place and it said Central Auto service. They were closing soon but said bring it in. Sure enough, when they checked the dipstick it was dry, no oil. They removed the engine guard panel and oil began spilling out everywhere. The previous place had used the wrong size seal. I was hours away from seizing my engine. They let me take videos of the entire process so I can send back to previous service center for reimbursement. They said it would take about 90 minutes and it was ready on time. However, when I went up to pay, there was now a gentleman quoting me $210. Great okay. I swipe my card and go on my way without realizing that they charged me $229. I call when I get home and explain the discrepancy. The woman responded and said "sure can you come in?" I thought it was plausible I would get the additional money back but when I get there she said "oh it's because we charge 3% on credit card payments" which is a crazy statement because I used a DEBIT card, they did more than a 3% fee and they couldn't tell me that on the phone before I wasted 30 minutes? This place is a joke, you're better off going somewhere else.

Wayne's told me I would need close to $2,000 in repairs to pass inspection. Took it somewhere else and paid a couple hundred dollars to fix simple repairs (gas cap replacement, new windshield wipers). The worst part was how mean and condescending the bald guy was to me. Before even looking at the car, the guy started laying into me, telling me I had bought a lemon, that the car wasn't worth $1000, that I had been scammed, etc, just based on seeing that my car was older. I've now driven the car for thousands of miles without issue. It's the best car I've ever owned.
