Cauliflower mole not chicken mole like I ordered.

I tried the food truck at the Palo Alto farmers market. I ordered the chicken mole plate (to go) but was served the cauliflower mole instead. I wasn't able to go back to complain. I'm sure they would have made it right. The lady was friendly and polite. Still frustrating though.

I feel bad giving this review but want to share my experience with the Yelpiverse. The mole was just ok, and the to-go container wasn't closed well (a piece of chicken got caught between the lid and container) so it leaked over my stuff. The empanadas are also just ok - they also gave us the wrong protein on accident.

I had nachos with beef, very fresh and filling. Chips may have been cheaper than expected, but everything was made fast and was really yummy.

    Decadent. Dense.

Oh.. my.. god.. I've seen their stall at the Campbell's Farmers Market for years but never tried them until they came to my work. I just know that anytime I see them in our calendar I will plan to indulge because ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Service was awesome, too. Ronnie saw the menu but because he's rather picky and not open-minded when it comes to food he left to go to our cafeteria whilst I stood in line to uncover what I have been missing for years. The chicken burrito and chocolate brownie = winner. The chicken was juicy and I loved every component inside my burrito. The brownie was decadent, dense, and rich.. *Tram approves* After we got back to our desks (we eat at our desks after the gym) I IM'd him to tell him the burrito is bomb. He regret not giving them a shot. I think the next time Oaxacan Kitchen is here he will definitely give them a shot. Yummy...

FOOD == (1/5) The tortilla for my breakfast taco was crumbly and tasteless. It does not go along with the filling which was chorizo but yet again there was no taste. I got my taco at the tent and would not get it again. SERVICE == (5/5) The worker serving us was nice and patient. Handed us the bag with a smile. VIBES == (4/5) It was an outdoor tent which has flee market vibes but there were no chairs around so we brought the food home.

Found them at the Campbell farmers market, nice place! I tried the breakfast taco and the pork taco. Pork taco was AMAZING!!! Super flavorful pork, fresh tortilla, and all the toppings. The breakfast taco was also good but if I had a choice to re-do my order I would stick with the pork tacos. Try them out!

Oh. My. Gosh. I tried the food truck in downtown San Jose, and all I have to say is the vegetarian nachos were the absolute best! The ladies had the best customer service educating my on the way they prepare their food. The habanero spicy sauce was memorable. Everything is so fresh! Tons of gluten free options. I highly recommend.

Their Mole "Negro". Should be the same color as the beans.. Didn't taste like Mole Negro either.

Super disappointed with Zaida's, especially for the price. The food truck has been coming to our Hospital for the past few weeks, and my employees warned me not to go here, but I wanted to try them out for myself. I should have listened to them because it was one of the worse Latin foods I've had. I ordered the Chicken Mole NEGRO plate ($17), a mole NEGRO tamale ($7 for 1), and a Horchata. Here is how this went.... Chicken Mole Negro Plate - Now I have had Mole negro all my life, and what was given to me yesterday was Mole Amarillo. After taking a bite, I knew that it was wrong and walked back to the truck. I asked the cashier if my order was right. Since he didnt know he asked the girl making my food, and without looking she said "yes it is". I was given back my food and sent on my way. See the attached picture, Mole negro is black, hence "negro". Not red. On TOP of that, the chicken was shredded and unflavored. Its like they put boiled shredded chicken on a plate, and put sauce on top. The flavors did not combine well, nor was the chicken seasoned. The rice was decent, but the beans were bland as well. For $17, I expected more flavor. The only SAVING grace was the fresh tortillas, they get a extra star for that. Tamale - Tasted exactly like the plate, except wrapped in a leaf. Overpriced and under seasoned. Horchata - Watered down sugar, that's the best way to describe it. I didn't even get a hint of cinnamon. Its great that they come to the hospital to serve our hard workers, but I feel like if you are going to raise your prices, at least keep your standards in place. Based on the other reviews, the food is "good" but my team and I have not had the same experience. After speaking to other areas of the hospital, they agree as well. I wanted to like Zaidas, but it was a fail. We will be passing on Zaida's food truck from now on. Thanks but no thanks.

I had just flown in that day from Houston and I wanted dinner, but I was on central time and ready to go to bed early, so I didn't want to sit down in an actual restaurant. A food truck, not to mention a highly rated food truck was the perfect solution for what I needed. I couldn't resist the NYC Chicken Tikka Masala, because I enjoy all four words of that dish, so what could go wrong? The guy made it for me and handed me this thick boy to-go box, which I promptly walked to my rental car and opened up to see a 10/10 visually appealing heaping meal. And then I took a bite and.... where was the flavor? I took another bite. Same thing. And another. And another. Bland tikka masala?? How does this happen? After I had several bites, I came to the conclusion that it tasted like chicken dipped into water. There was literally no taste to the sauce. Was an ingredient forgotten? Did I come to close to closing time (30 minutes)? I really don't know. I enjoyed the pita bread and the salad concoction, but I will forever be bummed thinking about the alternative places I almost visited before choosing to grab dinner here.

We parked right out front. Parking can be a little challenging, but it's definitely manageable. We walked in around 5:15 PM on a Sunday and found the place completely to ourselves, which makes sense since it's still fairly new. We were greeted by a tall young gentleman at the register who was friendly and welcoming. The menu was organized and specialized, which I really appreciated. Large menus can be overwhelming, and this one felt thoughtfully curated. I ordered two asada tacos, and so did my wife. As we waited, we enjoyed the sweet sounds of Luis Miguel and José José playing in the background. About five minutes later, our food arrived. The gentleman from the register personally brought it over with a great attitude and excellent service. My first impression was how colorful the tacos looked, with vibrant pink and green hues from the toppings. The tortillas had a perfect balance of crispness and softness, while the meat appeared both crispy and tender. I made my way over to the salsa bar and found it clean, well-stocked, and filled with a variety of house-made sauces. When I asked which salsa was the spiciest, one of the ladies in the kitchen pointed me toward the orange sauce. I also noticed some beautifully prepared pickled onions and habaneros--something I absolutely love. I added both to my plate and headed back to the table. After snapping a few pictures, I took my first bite with the orange salsa and the pickled onions and habaneros. My initial reaction was surprise--in the best way possible. The flavors were outstanding. The meat was tender with just the right amount of crispiness. The tortilla was hot, lightly fried, and still delicate. The orange salsa brought serious heat while remaining packed with flavor, and the onions and habaneros added a fresh, savory acidity that tied everything together perfectly. After that first bite, I knew I had made a mistake only ordering two tacos. They were that good. Before I even finished my plate, I walked back up and ordered three more asada tacos. My wife and I were genuinely impressed. The atmosphere was calm, refreshing, and inviting. We left extremely happy with both the food and the experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu. I wish this business nothing but success. This is exactly the kind of hard work, attention to detail, and passion that I love supporting. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience. The tacos were, without a doubt, ¡Ta' con madre!

I originally wanted tacos (which was unavailable) but noticed this food truck instead. For reference, I've never tried Nepalese/Indo-Chinese food, so I figured I would give it a shot. The guy running the food truck is soft-spoken but was able to provide suggestions. When I asked what was popular, he told me that people try the dumplings, so I ordered one (1), which come in a set of 8. Each one is about the size of two quarters in diameter (for scale). It comes with sauces on the spicy side. I figured that alone wasn't enough to alleviate my hunger pangs, so I ordered the Paneer Chow Mein and Mango Lassi, too. My order came out after 15 minutes. In the meantime, I waited under the tent that was stationed with a dining table next to the truck. Paneer Chow Mein - 6/10. Tastes like your average standard Chow Mein. I didn't know what paneer was, but after a quick Google search, it's cheese with the look, texture and taste of tofu. I ate enough to send me into a food coma. The guy packed plenty into the container (and I barely made a dent), so I rated it higher. Chicken Momo (Dumplings) - 7/10. What you'd expect of a chinese steamed dumpling but with a slight twist. I don't have a diverse culinary palate, but there was a hint of a curry(esque) flavor in the filling. Delicious with the sauces. Mango Lassi - 1000000/10. I am a sweet tooth and woah....I absolutely love this drink. It is an Indian mango yogurt drink that is not too thick or sickly sweet. It has a thick consistency and was perfect to have during the summer as a dessert. It was about $4 for 12oz but I had to order another one for the road because it is exactly what I needed. Overall, I would stop by again if I needed something to curb my empty stomach.

If you're looking for a catering food truck for a small lunch window that delivers high quality and very quick service, I HIGHLY recommend Fire and Rice. Their Hawaiian Asian fusion menu is unique and stands out compared to other Asian or poke trucks I've tried. The garlic shoyu chicken and tuna poke were my personal favorites. I tried some of my coworkers garlic shrimp & Miso tofu too...surprisingly pretty GOOD! With inflation being what it is, their food is absolutely worth the price, and they were also flexible and willing to work within our reasonable budget. I can't recommend them enough. For catering inquiries, It was a little difficult getting them on the phone so we played phone tag a lot. I suggest texting or emailing Micah or Jessica for the quickest response, as they're often busy on the truck or during service.

Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.
