Visited on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! Waited a short while in line at 11 am, but didn't see an empty table anywhere through the time we dined Great service from the staff and nice ambiance - there's a surprising amount of tables inside. Food was decent, but looked a lot more delicious than it tasted. Corn and French toast were good, but the other fusion foods were just ok especially for the price. Portions were great though!

New obsession! Croffle and fried chicken. The idea of waffle and chicken , but croffle ... crossant, waffle and fried chicken is to die for. When we first put our name, we were the 50th.... it took about 45 min to go from 50th to be seated. Not bad, we walked around the block, checked out stores and walah!

I went with the two eggs any style for my plate when I came to Sweet Maple for the first time. Luckily I was able to substitute the regular ciabatta bread for their gluten free toast but at an additional charge of $3. I also wanted to substitute the potatoes for fruit and was charged an additional $5 for it. I want to say the bacon here is amazing! My friends and I also got the Millionaire's Bacon Sample and I keep thinking about it. All my friends enjoy their plates. But would I say if I would come again? Maybe, only if friends wanted to come. If feels overpriced with the many substitutions I have to make due to my dietary restrictions. The staff was real friendly regardless, despite the restaurant be busy, they never forgot to check in with us.

Came out here for a dog friendly brunch. Love that they have outdoor seating so our pups can join in. It's almost always packed during the weekends so be prepared to wait! We got lucky because we got our table and then the brunch/lunch rush came! Service was great. Nothing above and beyond. Drinks and Food: We ordered some drinks to start with. Watermelon Fizz mocktail and the A Spritz cocktail, both drinks were pretty coming out and tasted pretty good and to our liking. My friend got the chicken and waffles and I got the Francis Soufflegg. The chicken and waffles were so crispy and delicious, I wish I ordered that! The Soufflegg wasn't exactly special, it was a soufflé egg that's topped with bacon and some chicken bits, I liked the potatoes more than the soufflé egg actually. But the menu had lots of different items that we will definitely come again to try something else!

We didn't need a reservation here. Walked right in for brunch and were seated as a party of two. Staff were nice and attentive. The place is clean and spacious. They seem busy but we had zero complaints with service. Food came out quickly and it was so fresh. Our entire experience was about 1h (knowing this as we received a message from the street parking meter) and we did not feel rushed once. They were just on top of things. Freshly squeezed orange juice, can't go wrong. I had an order of scrambled eggs and potatoes with a side of fried chicken. The eggs were nice and fluffy. At first glance, we thought our toast would be a piece of brick but it was surprisingly warm, soft, and delicious. Wish we had more. The wings were pretty tasty as well. I ended up packing the rest of the wings to go as a snack for our mini road trip. Overall good brunch spot.

Quaint little nook with Asian inspired breakfast. A lot of tasty options here and the bacon is a must! Gives a different take on bacon. Loved their Ube Lattes, Benedicts, and Skilets. Potatoes were crispy and cooked to perfection. It is a little pricey. Although the food was good, I thought it was overpriced for what we got. The service was also a little slow. It was crowded when we went, so possibly just backed up. But I had to personally ask for refills on my water and wanted to order another coffee, but they hadn't come back to our table for 20 min after our food was out. Again, I do say they get busy. Also we were near the door during a windy day. We asked if we could close it because it was cold and they denied our request.

    Sweet Maple Scramble. Delicious!

Vibes: Pretty, trendy, modern brunch vibes Crowd: Busy but no wait on a Sunday morning at 9a Menu: tons of brunch options Value for price: pricey but great quality food Service: 5/5, friendly and fast Parking: street parking in downtown Palo Alto I had a lovely Sunday breakfast at Sweet Maple during a visit to Palo Alto. This place is super cute, with (crowded) indoor seating and nice patio seats too. Expect a wait if you come later in the morning, but at 9am we found a table for 2 quickly. I tried their English Breakfast tea, which was a Tea Forte bag (mesh bag with a little leaf) and had great flavor. They serve the hot tea with a pot of water for multiple servings. I had the Sweet Maple Scramble, mostly because I wanted to try the famous Millionaire's bacon. It was absolutely worth it: THICK chunks of bacon. Order anything that comes with the bacon. The lemon hollandaise on the scramble was flavorful but not too heavy, and the eggs come with ciabatta and roasted vegetables. This place is a bit pricey for me to come alone, but if you're coming on a cute date or with family, absolutely recommend.

Service was great. Wait was incredibly long so make a reservation or get there early enough so the table is available by the time you're hungry. The restaurant was bustling inside and out. It's also in a cute little plaza where I can grab coffee and wait for my turn. The runaround for food was so quick that it took me by surprised but I guess it has to be quick since so many people were waiting to dine. The menu has all kinds of flavors: Japanese, western, Korean, Thai..? Confusing, but Sweet Maple does it pretty well. We got the omurice and the crab Benedict which was absolutely delicious. The roasted vegetable side that came with the eggs Benedict was also super crispy and flavorful. Overall, I enjoyed the meal!

Super cute brunch place! Waitlist usually moves by pretty quick. Everything is very aesthetic, from the interior to the table decor to the food. I personally love the mochi waffle here and the fruit always tastes refreshing! Service is also fast and nice but for some reason, drinks took a really long time. It came towards the end of our meal and this was after we reminded. Note for birthday cakes: they charge a $2.50 fee per person to eat it there so please keep this in mind. I understand the point of the fee but it seems kind of pointless for how small it is.

Sweet Maple was truly a sweet treat. We stopped by for Sunday brunch around noon and had about a 30-minute wait. We ordered the loco moco, Sweet Maple scramble, an eggplant side dish, and the elote-style corn. While the patty in the loco moco was a bit more well done than I prefer, the dish was still very good overall. I especially loved the Sweet Maple scramble with the Meyer lemon sauce--every bite was fantastic. The eggplant, drizzled with balsamic vinegar, was a nice addition, and the elote-style corn was delicious and paired perfectly with the rest of the meal. Service was prompt and friendly. I'm very happy we finally tried this place.

I've come here twice with friends and the food is outstanding! My favorite has to be the blueberry moffle $17 (mochi waffle). I'm also a fan of their scrambled eggs and potatoes. All of the food is beautifully plated and Instagram worthy. They don't take reservations which is unfortunate. The line can be long during prime brunch hours, especially on the weekends. Parking can also be a little tricky. Both indoor and outdoor seating. I'd come back for the good food! Pricing is what you'd expect of a more upscale brunch spot in the area and is similar to Son & Garden for example.

Food - Hass Omlet was good. Very tasty. Served with potato and Brussels sprouts. Smaller portion. Country Inn breakfast has a better portion with better price. Service - workers were kind, but was not checked on once until came time to pay. Still tipped 20% Price - expensive but it's expected. You pay for the ambiance and aesthetic plus you are in one of the most expensive places in the world (Palo Alto). Ended up paying $30+ for food / water

My family and I were visiting the area and stopped by Sweet Maple for breakfast. They have free 2 hour parking lots nearby and it's located next to Verve Coffee. When you arrive you check in on a tablet. I checked in our group of five and we were seated within 10 minutes. The space is nicely decorated and the food was really good! I ordered the two eggs with bacon and potatoes along with a fresh orange juice. The service was okay overall. Just a heads up that they automatically added a 20% gratuity since we were a group of five.

We ordered four dishes from section two. We weren't sure if it would be enough food, but it ended up being a perfect amount (perhaps because I was pregnant and there wasn't much more room in my belly haha). My husband started off with the wagyu beef tartare tartlet, which he enjoyed. For our four shared dishes, we got: 1. Scallion Croissant: This one was my fav! Recommend eating it all fresh while the texture stays crisp on the outside. The rou song (meat floss) flavor from the butter didn't come out as much as I'd like it to but I still enjoyed the Asian twist to the croissant. 2. Yeobo, Darling Chicken Wings: It didn't feel very special, but I'm always down for chicken wings. Could've been more tender. I enjoyed the shishito peppers that come with it. 3. Lu Rou Lasagna: A fusion of two things I really love! Lu Rou is slow braised minced pork belly. I forgot what the green "pasta" is made out of, but it was tasty. I had to get the chili oil on the side (due to my husband's spice intolerance). Not sure how it would have been with the chili oil incorporated into the dish, but I didn't think the chili oil added much. I bet Lao Gan Ma (chili crisp + chili oil) would've been superb with it. 4. Chilled Perilla Somyun: This was a refreshing dish, which helped balance out the other heavier dishes. I wasn't super wowed at first bite, but enjoyed it more and more with each new bite. I wanted to try the Wagyu Kalbi, but the price point is more than what I'm comfortable with. We opted out of dessert, but were pleasantly surprised when they brought out a small dessert for our anniversary. It was some sort of roll with chocolate over it, yum! Service was great. I appreciate that they inquire about food allergies prior to ordering. Throughout the meal, they always made sure our water cups were filled. The food itself doesn't necessarily make me want to come back a second time, but it was great as a one time date night spot!

We both ordered the momo (buffalo) noodle soup and were blown away! The noodles were similar to mama/indomie rather than fresh, but I ended up loving it regardless. The broth was very light but super flavorful and savory. AND THE MOMOS!!! Absolutely to die for; I think they were the best I've ever had. Not to mention it was very fairly priced and lasted us both for two meals. Not to mention, especially in the South Bay, most Nepalese/Himalayan restaurants heavily feature Indian food. Rara stands out to me because Nepali food is absolutely the star here. I wasn't familiar with a majority the menu and that's a great thing because they're offering unique dishes you can't find everywhere. This is definitely going to be a new go-to place for us!

My other friend was a local like me, so we knew our way around the menu. Anita, Johany, Dinash and Rishi took care of us. Anita was able to provide recommendations as I made sure to get chicken hot pot, mixed sizzler, buffalo momos, shrimp curry, roti, yogurt, masala tea, and a bunch of other options for family style. The hotpot was a fav from China. The team worked well together, were friendly, helpful and gave us dedicated service because we beat the dinner rush on a Saturday. As the place got full, as Anita was the point person for new recommendations, it might help for more of the team to also be able to provide recommendations. It might help, to ask if guests would need help with the menu. Maybe a dinner set would help, especially if it was the group's first time for this type of cuisine.

I enjoyed how we got to each have our own personal hot pot and choose our own broths-I really liked the chicken broth I got. Ordering takes place through a QR code and service was quite speedy. We thought it seemed promising so we drove over, walked in at 7pm, was told they closed at 7:30pm, and that they wouldn't have enough time to serve a party of 2... why post hours stating the restaurant closes at 10pm if you're going to turn people away at 7pm? The lady who said 'helped' said they close at 7:30 and "not even time" twive and seemingly shooed us away with her hand... We had tried calling as well, multiple tomes each to no avail. I then tried to access the website to see if there was a waitlist, but website kept repeatedly crashing... Overall the inside looked nice and actually smelled nice. They were working on cleaning a long dining table, unsure if they were attending to parties upstairs also. Maybe I'll give this place another shot in the future as long as I'm not shooed away again. I would've enjoyed trying this spot but definitely not coming back any time soon after this experience, super disappointing. :( 0/5 stars Please update the hours to current ones!

The restaurant was packed on a Thursday night but I was able to walk in at the bar. I got the ankimo pate from the seasonal menu and the wagyu steak and garlic rice. While waiting for my food I observed a sign of authenticity: a table of 8 Japanese businessmen, so I was pretty excited to get my food. I usually looooove ankimo and I didn't really think too much about how the mascarpone would be. I think it's too heavy/creamy and lost the liver-ness of ankimo which I really like. I understand a lot of people don't though so, different strokes for different people. Not a big fan of the mixture, and there was also water or something on the bread that made it soggy. However, the pickled onions and grapes were really good especially with the wagyu steak and garlic rice. At first glance the image of the wagyu steak is not that impressive, as it was in real life as well...BUT as I took my first bite I was taken back to the underground Kobe beef bowl hole in the wall restaurant. The beef is cut into really big pieces so in this picture it doesn't look like a lot but it was a good ratio. The rice is soft and fluffy and flavorful. Worth getting the dashi. I will definitely be back!!

Reviewing other reviews, their most popular items are the yellowtail hamachi jalapeño, miso cod, and rock shrimp tempura. You can hit the latter two during lunch with the signature and Japanese bento box. Yellowtail Hamachi jalapeño: I had high expectations given the hype, but ultimately felt a bit disappointed. The fish was fresh, but not very unique and certainly not worth $36. Would skip. Signature bento box: Great option if you want to try the cod, but have a soup, salad, veggie and rice with it, all for cheaper than the cod à la carte! The portion was also generous. Japanese bento box: Pricier than the signature, but double the food. The rock shrimp was tasty, but surprisingly the highlight was the crispy shiitake salad. My gosh, those mushrooms were tasty. The tenderloin lacked enough seasoning and the soba noodle was just ok. They served a complimentary gelato for our celebration, which was kind of them. Overall, there were some highlights, but I would have expected more given the price point and restaurant brand.

The noodles are delicious, the broth is rich yet not greasy, and the beef slices are incredibly tender and smooth. It is almost impossible to find any flaws. If I had to point out one area that could be improved, it would probably be the choice of beef chunks. They are still very tender, but the texture feels just a little dry at times. Even so, this small issue does not take away from the overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend this modern pho restaurant. They also offer many other dishes with great value for the price. Strongly recommended to everyone.
