Wow!! Stopped by Zia's biryani and decided to check it out. Oh my gosh, I've been searching everywhere in Philadelphia for amazing Indian / desi food. Let's just say I know where I will be going every week! The food was cooked perfectly and everything was so delicious!! We had the buffet food today, and I'm usually not a fan of buffets, but their food was cooked way better than Indian food I've had in the area. I can't wait to order a la carte and check it out. Chicken biryani was delicious, the chicken to rice ratio was perfect, and that rice was seasoned so beautifully, that I went back for more three times. I also had their chicken tikka which was cooked in such an amazing sauce that will have you licking the plate. Kheer was so yummy, I'm not a fan of kheer, but after having it today I think I just haven't had good kheer until now. The saag paneer was incredible and it really hit the spot! The owners were incredibly kind and hospitable and made sure we were happy! They kept checking on us and really made us feel like we were eating at home. The space had an open concept, and it was very clean. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and care into this place. My advice seriously check this place out!! It's so worth it and extremely delicious and it's the most authentic Indian spot in town. I'm honestly ready to come back tomorrow to order more Indian food!!

We will be coming back! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and everything we ate was outstanding. We got the chicken samosas (my husband hadn't had samosas before, and I'm glad these were his first -- what a fantastic first impression!), shrimp curry, garlic naan, baingan bharta, and chai. The ambience in the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. Thank you for a great dinner experience!

26 dollars for curry chicken. Curry sauce watery and no flavor. Wouldn't have mind the price if the food was good. Very disappointing

Food was excellent. Very fresh. Vegetable pakora was the best I have had. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Will go there again.

The place is in a strip mall with plenty of parking (+). Walking in the restaurant is very clean and well lit (+) We chose a table and the server immediately came over with menus and to take our drink order. I asked if it was okay for a drink from outside and they were fine with it. (+). We decided to go with Karaikudi goat and Thalapakatty goat biryani with an order of ginger chicken thokku as an appetizer. The chicken was absolutely amazing. So tender and flavorful. I was hooked. I had the biryani and while it was quite good, the goat was the star of the meal. Absolutely delicious. My daughter had the Karaikudi and while she thoroughly enjoyed it, I didn't care too much for the sauce. I started this review with I'm not big on Indian food, but this place changed my mind. Absolutely great food and very friendly and attentive staff. He explained most of the menu to me when he saw I was having a little difficulty figuring out what was what. Great recommendations. Truly happy with our meal and everything about it. We will definitely be back to try more things. This place converted me, lol. AAA+++

I had to wait a little bit once I arrived, but the order was all there and only my mint chutney was missing. The inside dining area looked nice and bright. There were a few tables of families enjoying their meals. When we got home and dug in everything was nice and hot. The Rajni Special Chicken Biryani - chicken pieces were small, tender and had light breading. It was a big portion that could feed a few people, but I wasn't too impressed by the chicken. It was the deep fried chicken pieces used in the Chicken 65 dish my friend ordered. They were ok, but I would have preferred just straight up marinated/spiced chicken with the Biryani. The Chicken Tikka Kebab - had a couple pieces charred and dry but the juicy pieces were very good and flavorful. My wife orders from here for work lunches and enjoys the Paneer Tikka Masala. She said even though she asks for light spice it usually has more punch. The plain naan was fresh and very good. Their menu is quite extensive. I don't think I've ever seen Indo Chinese dishes on a menu before. They also had Dosa specials and South Indian specialties. For local Indian grub I think Rajni is my spot. It's not on busy Street Road and the food was a solid four stars good. Thanks guys!!

These were very delicious and recommend them for those who don't know a lot about Indian food. The customized spice level (1-10) was very nice as well. I recommend a spice level of 5 as I found it delicious and tolerable even in 80 degree weather. The service was very polite and quick. I ordered in a small but air-conditioned space that I could wait in. The wait was about less than 20 minutes and was well worth it. The container wasn't very secure so I wouldn't recommend traveling far with it.

Hence the scale of 0 lowest to 7 highest. We started off with an order of the chicken Samosa and I will tell you it was probably one of the top to samosas that we've had nice and soft not oily greasy the meat mix inside was just sensational dipping sauces a real treat. For a two entrées that we shared, one was the lamb Rogan Josh, pieces of landmarinated and yogurt with herbs spiced cooked in a special gravy it was a home run comfy food kind of meal. We ordered space at three next time I think we're gonna do a five want the flavor profile. The second dish was the Malabar chicken stew which is kerala style chicken stew recipe in a rich coconut milk curry stewed with vegetables chunks and chicken and flavored with Malabar coast spices a very nice dish. we ordered it at a three spice. next time I think I'm going for five or six on spice to get that flavor profile. Overall first experience, nicely surprised! Everything was extremely fresh already had a really nice aroma good taste friendly service at the door of course. See my photos

If you read nothing else - ORDER THE GARLIC CHICKEN…read more Ok, now for everything else....we decided to try out this place, which felt incredibly taboo bc we LOVE our Indian Palace restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest person behind the counter. She led us to our table where we enjoyed reading through their expansive menu. We decided on some samosa's, lamb korma, chicken Tikka and the star of the show - GARLIC CHICKEN. I'm going to start with the Garlic Chicken because I have never had something like this before anywhere else and it is listed as an appetizer. If you love garlic as much as I do, please do yourself a favor and RUN here to get this. My husband, son and I FOUGHT over this plate because it was so delicious. We had to order a whole extra basket of naan to dip it in because it was SPECTACULAR. The rest of the plates were very tasty as too! The Korma was delicious and soft. And I haven't met a naan I didn't like. Really aside from the garlic chicken what made this experience great was the service. It was a young woman who noticed I was speaking Spanish to my son and also began speaking Spanish to us. She was incredibly thoughtful and kept checking in on us as well. Overall, we look forward to returning. On the weekend they run a buffet which I am super into to try more of their dishes.
