I used to stop in Adriatic after school many years ago when the current owner first took over. Back then it had a dark interior, video games on the left side and was run by a long haired fellow named Sal. You used to get a couple slices and a can of soda for a couple of bucks if that! I remember the pizza having a sweet sauce and just being solid. I've been up this way recently with my oldest son and have had the opportunity to stop in once a week to see what they are all about. The interior is so different! It's bright inside with ceramic tiles on the walls. The bathrooms are clean and tiled. I'm also glad he kept the neon's in the window. To me it was and still is an iconic look for the place. The owner is there every time I stop in and is a good man who hails from Albania. His staff are all really nice guys too. He's kept fair prices and the menu is typical for a pizza shop. Let's start with the pizza! I've ordered small pizza's so far. One plain and the other was half plain half pepperoni. The dough was fresh, cheese and sauce ratio are spot on and the sauce has a nice flavor with a sweetness to it. It tastes the same as I remember it from many years ago. The owner smiled when I told him that and said you're correct, I haven't changed the recipe since I've started. I've tried most of the standards and have would say I haven't had anything bad yet. The cheesesteak could use some black pepper mixed in with the meat and more cheese, but the wings, and lamb gyro I had were good. My son has enjoyed a ham and cheese and turkey and cheese on fresh Liscio's rolls and agrees that the pizza is very tasty. Great prices, great ownership, friendly staff and good solid pizza. I've been to this place more than a dozen times and it never gets old. I'd never been there when it was overly crowded but it's a bit remote from Oxford Valley Mall and the typical places people go. I'd imagine they get quite a bit of business from Bucks County Tech H.S., which is practically next door. The pizza is great and the prices never gouged me. Out of all the pizza places around Philly (4 counties) and South Jersey, this is my favourite because there aren't any drawbacks. The people who work there always care and whenever I'm back to the area, it's one of the first places I stop for lunch. Update: I was in New Jersey, just outside New York City, and as I was returning to the Philadelphia area, I knew I had to stop here. I got an Italian Hoagie with oil and oh emm gee, it was huge and tasty and made me smile! I have to say that this is my new favourite for sandwiches since T&D Cold Cuts in Upper Darby, PA went away. Got 2 cheese stakes the last time I was there both has a health serving of meat and was cooked properly, The fries had the oil textor like they had been cooked in a deep fryer that was just under temp and was unable to get to temp, however the onion rings was done right. Last was the pizza the cheese was right and the sauce was good the crust was not bad but I had better. I'm so disappointed in eating this pizza. Ordered 3 large mushroom pizzas and 3 fries. The pizzas were COLD, not even warm. The fries weren't even cooked, very mushy. The pizza was so plain with absolutely no flavor. It had no sauce, barely any cheese. It was so chewy and the crust was almost rock hard. It was very tough to chew. Two Slices & and Drink Review Only - The image in mind from the name was of an Italian shop anchored by the culture and cuisine of the eastern shore of the boot. Not quite. In fact, the reference is to the other side of the Adriatic Sea. I went in for a quick dinner of their pizza. The dining room was attractive with marble walls and tile floors. The counter zone housed the ovens and the shelved display of pizzas already made and waiting for reheating. Wanting to sample the wares, I asked for one regular and another sausage. They were about the largest slices of pizza I had ever seen, and in truth, one would have been enough. Eyes bigger than stomach, I retreated to a table to await delivery. All the while, the phone rang off the hook with take out orders, which were all fielded smoothly by the young woman dealing with this. She asked good questions, and kept her poise and easy manner. There is always a risk in consuming pie that has been sitting around for a while. Sometimes, even when requesting "well done," it is not left in the oven long enough to revive the underlying taste of the pizza when first constructed, or they have been out so long that no amount of fire resuscitation will bring them back to life. Such was the case this night. The copious cheese topside was hot, but not enough to allow the flavor to come to the fore. The undercarriage dough was amply scorched, and better than what was supported above. Just not much life there. The sausage triangle was similar. The pellet shaped meat was cooler than the cheese around it, and lacked any real taste at all. It left me wondering where they found this sausage vendor, because it neither looked, nor tasted, Italian. No doubt Adriatic Pizza is a popular spot for fresh pies and platters judging from the orders calling in, and the other reviews. It is just not a good place for reheat jobs, even with an incredible price of under $5. for everything. read more

The food here is solid, the service is great, and the prices fantastic. My cheese stromboli was stuffed with a generous amount of cheese and sauce, and had a nice chewy, rather thin crust. It's not gourmet cuisine but it's decent, greasy, traditional pizza parlor food. Plus, it was only $5, which is almost unheard of these days (unless you head to Pizza Hut, maybe). They also have sandwiches, pizzas, and hoagies, all of which are a dollar or two lower than at other similar restaurants in the vicinity. I called in my order and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. They do offer free delivery but you have to order at least $8. If you shop at the Giant on New Falls, save your receipt because there is a $2 rewards offer on the back. read more

This place fills all our wants. From seafood to pizza everything tastes fantastic. We always order extra cole slaws because its so good. My friend loves the fried chicken platter and I love the seafood platter. We also get their sicillian pizza with ricotta topping. The French fries are cooked perfect every time. I see why. I called to ask if they had indoor sitting for my 8 person party. They were extremely friendly when I called and I had high hopes. The inside was very clean and was updated. The young girl at the counter was very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The pizza was very good and cooked properly. this place is right down the street from my work, we get food from them often. they are great! we usually just grab slices but they are always very nice and quick. the pizza might be the best pizza i've ever had, especially the buffalo chicken! it's so cheap too i'm always in disbelief when he tells me my two speciality slices and two water bottles is $6. always satisfied! read more

It is sad that I have to write a review about Adriatic Pizza on New Falls Road in Levittown, PA. Since we have started ordering food from them we have never had any problems. The food has always been hot on arrival, quick delivery as well, HOWEVER, today we tried to order a personal calzone and was told that the topping we wanted was going to be extra than what was written on the menu. It DID NOT SAY ON THE MENU that to have a CHEESE STEAK filling you would have to pay much more than what it said on the menu. We attempted to read the menu to the person on the phone who repeatedly stated that it was much more than THE MENU READ. In my experience THAT IS FALSE ADVERTISING!! No other way to look at it. To have the menu read something totally different than what you expect the customer to pay. We have been LOYAL TO ADRIATIC PIZZA EVER SINCE WE FIRST FOUND OUT ABOUT THEM. Have spent a lot of money in their store. FALSE ADVERTISING IS FALSE ADVERTISING. I wonder how many of their other customers were verbally abused in their attempt to convince us that the price was different than what we were reading RIGHT FROM THE MENU. There should be a law in place for the customer against establishments that participate in FALSE ADVERTISING practices. The establishments shouldnt have the attitude that oh well so we lost a customer. If you lose enough customers you eventually go out of business.
