Crowbar is officially the best hangout space in Binghamton right now!…read more Nestled in a nook between State St. and Washington St., when you walk in the first thing you see is their incredible display of old LCD TVs circling the bar area, which really sets the tone for the vintage gaming aesthetic. Everything about this place is on-theme, right down to the items on the menu. While the food is definitely bar fare, don't underestimate it; every single one of their offerings is crafted to perfection! My favorites include the Sauer Loser hotdog (mouth-watering combo of sauerkraut and mustard on all beef franks) and the Flamin' Hot Smothered Cheetos (an elevated take on the spicy snack)! As for drinks, they have a fun array of game-themed cocktails and mocktails. Yes, you heard right, mocktails! And they are all incredible. My favorite is the Wowza Bowzer mocktail, which has a little bit of a kick with habanero bitters. The Waka-Waka-Waka cocktail (mule) features a Pac-Man shaped lemon slice eating a cherry, which is a fun touch! But, as we know, we come for the food and stay for the games, so what's available? Well, they have over 30 vintage games ranging from arcade classics like PacMan and Mortal Combat to more interactive favorites like DDR, hoops, and racing games (check out their website for a full listing). Plus, a couple pool tables and a few chill spots in the 2-story location (which includes a few quiet nooks with seating between the floors). While this space is definitely kid-friendly, it is only open to 21+ after 9pm, which provides a great experience for families and night crawlers alike!

Ok so I got excited in my first review and wrote it after just one visit. I've gone two more times…read moreand while it's still good, it's not as good as it was on opening night. The meat is still smoked well, there's a nice clean smoke flavor on the meat, but the brisket wasn't as good this time around, it could have been a little more tender and they didn't put as much meat on the sandwich. I also tried the pulled pork and it was just ok, I'd go with the brisket over it though. There wasn't any sauce the first time but they have it now but it's not made in house, they use cattleman's, which is an ok sauce but it's nothing you haven't had before. they also pulled a bottle of sauce out of the fridge and poured it over the pulled pork in the warming tray as I ordered it, so I was served luke warm meat on a stale generic hamburger bun. The only side I saw on the menu was mac n cheese, but it didn't look very good. They have sandwich toppings but they were sitting out on a table the whole time, so I question how sanitary they were. Lettuce, red onion, and tomato aren't my idea of BBQ toppers though, they should use coleslaw or pickles and onions. the sandwiches are priced good but the drinks are insane, $4 for a soda. the kids working there were just teenagers going through the motions, they didn't seem to care whether or not they were putting out good food or not. I'll still eat here when I'm at the stadium though, but I'd also like to try the other new offerings.

Brisket and mac n cheese. both just ok. They seemed like leftovers from the night before.
