One thing that make Zait Bistro different with other Arabic Restaurant, their amazing rice, soft texture, tasty and super delish. I tried the Beef Kabab combo, Mike at the front assist me very well when it comes in ordering. Service is the sweetest here ;) When the food came out, I already know it is not gonna disappoint me. Beef was cooked well done as per my request and so tasty and I also got 2 delicious salad & pita bread as well. I just learned Noura was the one who made my meal and I am grateful for that. Only thing is $17 for the little meat can be improved somehow. Definitely recommended place when in the area. Perhaps next time I would try the Shawarma and I will share my feedback. read more

Do not come here. First time picking up food here. Right away ambiance is rough. Place is dirty. I'm super surprised that the health inspectors are allowing places like this to still stay open. I'm all for supporting family owned business but this owner need to understand that they need to provide good and friendly service. The guy, he said he's name was Jose (I don't think it is, he was just trying to pacify me), was super rude. I asked him a question about the food I was picking up since it's a bunch of initials in a tin foil container and started talking down to me. He's excuse was he was busy and did not have time for questions. I understand at times it gets overwhelming when you have a lot of order to fulfill but do not take it out on your customer. When I didn't take his apology as sincere and just wanted to get out of there he became irate again. I will never ever come back to this place again. And I will make sure all my friends and family do not support this place either. read more

We used to LOVE this place....came here almost every other week for lunch with my coworkers. It's either Zait or the poke bowl place. The past few months we've noticed a downhill trend on their food quality. Staff used to be friendlier but lately it's been meh... We're hoping it's just a little slump and not permanently affecting the business. The servings are getting smaller too, but still relatively delicious. Flavorful and tasty. The restaurant is looking rough too. The tables were sticky and not cleaned well.... which is a BAD sign. We're hoping things get back to their better, earlier days.....because it would be a shame to lose this Mediterranean restaurant. read more

I walked in with my sis and the family were cooking for a large party! We smelled the smoke of the food, saw their cooking dedication and we then knew the food and experience would be good. And it was!!! We ordered a chicken kabob plate, shrimp kabob, fries and tabbouleh (fresh and amazing). The food was very delicious! Next time we are in the IE, we will be back! I tried this place for the first time due to the amount of good reviews and was highly disappointed! I placed a phone order and when I went in to pick up, I noticed the place was DIRTY! I should have walked out then, but I noticed they have an A rating. Picked up my order and went home to eat, horrible! Chicken has no flavor (I ended up giving it to my dog) the beef has to be poor quality because I kept chewing and chewing and it never separated I couldn't even eat it and I kept thinking about how filthy the floors were, the window seals even the machine when I paid for my food, I lost my appetite for the rest of the food, $26 thrown away, I will NEVER return read more

This place is now just decent. Came to share a plate with my sister and the flavors were a bit off. FOOD: TZAIKI sauce was a bit too spicy for me (not burn your mouth, rather they added a little too much of something). Which brings me to the rice... is it me or the tzaiki sauce that threw the flavor of the rice off... Ambiance: is average with some frames up along the hall way... Service was quick but maybe because there were zero customers... Would I come again...ehhh.. might try another spot next time Paid $23 for a medium beef swarma with rice and two sides read more

I love the chicken kabob dish with humus and salad. Delicious! The baklava is tasty, too. Make sure to get their pickled turnips/beets (not sure what it is but it's pink and delicious). The young women working in the front are very nice and so is the owner. We come here anytime we're in the area. read more

"Wow." The words I utter everytime I take my first bite here at Zait. My mother and I have been coming here for a few years now and it hits every time. Today I brought my girlfriend and she also loved it. I get the lamp chop plate with taziki sauce and the potatoes. If im feeling baller ill get the 4 piece but ill generally stick with the 2 piece being that this place is PRICEY (rightfully so) . That would be my only critique. The ambiance and service are always friendly and I always feel at home here. Mike always gets me right. With that being said, I recommend you come here if you enjoy Mediterranean food and have some money to spend. read more

I came here today after a friend had told me to visit...and let me tell you...I should have came here a long time ago! I ordered their chicken shawarma plate (size small) which is perfect portion for one person, and they also have a medium and large size for portions as well. The rice was cooked perfectly along with the chicken shawarma, and it was seasoned magnificently with tons of flavors and juices and even, rare spices. the food came to me HOT! My two sides were salad and hummus. the salad was amazing. it was served cold and perfect temperature with seasoning and dressing to perfection. Most places use vinegar to dress their salad...very sad. This place actually uses lemons to dress their salad in their dressing. they shower their salad with onions, and dried mint flakes (which is exactly how it's supposed to be) and crunchy tomatoes and cucumbers. just perfect! The hummus was fantastic! Ask for olive oil and red pepper on it! Chef MIKE was awesome! Amazing gentleman who really knows what he's doing back there. WOW WOW. The baklava was excellent! the pistachio and cinnamon ones were so delicious and savory. an excellent way to close out lunch! They also give you a large piece of pita bread with your plate. The garlic paste (toum) was perfect. nice and thick and full of garlic flavor. Amazing little spot. I'll definitely come back here again, and VERY SOON. This is one of those family-owned, local gems that I want to see survive, but everytime I go by, there is hardly ever that many people. Given the taste of the food and the fact that it's made to order, I'd expect this restaurant to be more busy. If you love Mediterranean food, give this place a try. The food is delicious, the service is good and it's clean. Plus the amount of food I get is enough for me to split between two meals. Yesterday I spent $23, but I had enough to save for the next day. Or you can split it with someone else. In this day and age of food being so expensive, this restaurant gives a great value. Would highly recommend. read more

Chef Sammy Zait is in the kitchen, using his many years of experience as a chef in Dubai to craft fresh Mediterranean dishes, and Lizzy Zait is busy running the business. Established in 2015.

Zait Bistro is the love child of husband and wife team, Chef Sammy Zait and Lizzy Zait. In the early 2015, homesick for the favorite street food of Beit Jala, they heard of a tiny store front available on quiet Terra Vista Village in Rancho Cucamonga and decided to open their own Mediterranean Grill. Relying on his years of international cooking experience as well as his roots, and her business management and organizational skills Sammy and Lizzy created a menu centered around street food with a gourmet twist. The freshness and quality of the ingredients coupled with Sammy's spin on traditional flavors give new meaning to the concept of convenience food.

When I said "Danielle" he said "oh that was yours, the guy just left." He kind of looked at me like it was my problem to fix, so I took off after the guy and the employee followed me. Thankfully, the guy didn't get very far because he was verifying the order, so we made the exchange. Whew! I ordered the charbroiled chicken shish kabob with extra grilled veggies and a side Mediterranean salad as well as the hummus trio with sliced cucumbers instead of pita bread. The chicken kabob meal was delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the option to add on more veggies was much appreciated! I was really excited about the hummus trio, but sadly I found it to be lacking flavor. With the 3 options of regular hummus, spicy red bell pepper and edamame, I was definitely expecting a flavor explosion, but it fell flat for me. I'd definitely come back to try more of their main dishes. Seems like a great little spot to dine in.

Over my last few visits, the food has not tasted fresh, and the service has lacked the care and quality the restaurant used to provide. The koobideh kabobs I once loved no longer taste fresh, and during one visit the pasta sauce was watery and disappointing. I've also noticed many recent negative Yelp reviews that management does not seem to acknowledge or respond to. Tonight's experience was the worst yet. We came here to celebrate my brother-in-law's graduation with a family dinner for eight people, expecting the good food and service this restaurant was once known for. Instead, the steak skewers in our family meal came out almost raw and bloody inside -- completely undercooked and unsafe to serve. When we complained, the restaurant took the same meat back to the kitchen, recooked it, and brought it back out. Since we had already started eating from the platter, having the same meat returned felt unappetizing. On top of that, it took nearly 30 minutes for the replacement to come back, and by then the rest of the table had already finished eating. I spoke with the manager, and the initial resolution offered was one free tiramisu for a party of eight. After I explained that a single dessert did not make up for serving raw meat and making us wait so long, they offered one additional tiramisu. That response felt completely inadequate given the situation. Most restaurants would have removed the item from the bill or offered a meaningful discount. Instead, this experience showed very little accountability or concern for customer satisfaction and food safety It's unfortunate to see a restaurant that was once consistently good decline this much. Panini Kabob Grill needs stronger management, better customer service, fresher food, and more attention to customer feedback -- including responding to the growing number of negative reviews. And they really need to bring their garlic sauce back... it drastically enhanced the meal. Without it, the food falls a bit flat.
