    CHICKEN SALAD

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Spent my birthday this year at Zala's because it was near the house and it had decent reviews. Currently the parking situation isn't ideal, but that shouldn't prevent you from going. Upon entering you can't help but feel as if you're in a home back in the late 70s and early 80s. Fan art and albums cover the walls and the lighting is very well balanced. A bar and grill sit to the right as you enter. Prior to receiving our meal I ordered a Sam Adams which was chilled and very good. Believe it or not other establishments fail to meet the temperature requirement. Our appetizer was the pizza egg roles which I know they get from GFS. They did a great job cooking them which is incredibly easy to mess up. I purchased the Hello Jamie which to date has been one of the greater burgers I have eaten in western Pennsylvania. A cheeseburger with egg on a brioche bun the owner certainly insures that all of his ingredients are fresh. If this is consistently made it rivals Burgatory but is closer to a Five Guys Burger genre of burger. Amongst the fries that were very good my wife purchased the Pittsburgh salad which would have been amazing had they not given us bottled ranch dressing which quite frankly destroyed the salad. There were other options, but ranch is a staple condiment in such a salad. Making home made ranch is cheaper to make than the bottles stuff which kind of confuses me. All in all I really wanted to give this place a 5 star rating. They now take card with their new ticketing system and the new owner stopped over to say hello. But, when someone orders a Pittsburgh Salad the expectation and experience must have home made ranch. We loved it here, and would love to come back but the Ranch and other condiment selections have to go. This is literally my only harsh criticism of the place but it really was bad. A shout out to the new owner who has really done a great job overhauling the place. We hope to be back when we don't have the kids. Overall experience 8.4/10 Hello Jamie: 9.2/10 Pittsburgh Salad: 8.3/10 Coke or Pepsi: Pepsi :( A/C: Yes

Cute coffee shop with great flavors and faith in downtown Irwin!…read more Nestled right in Irwin, White Tree Cafe & Coffeehouse has a small town vibe with big bold options! During the day, they had ample street parking and the cute patio is such a wonderful touch to enjoy a coffee on a beautiful day. We came for a light lunch and midday pick-me-up, so we chose the Cookie Butter Cold Brew, Iced Oatmilk Vanilla Latte, Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini, and a Croissant. The drinks were delicious! The Cookie Butter Cold Brew was a monthly signature drink, but I would get it as often as I can! The crumbles of cookie with the pillowy cold foam was such a refreshing coffee. The latte was perfection too. They definitely make great coffee drinks. The panini was freshly made with sous vide chicken, fresh bacon, and ample ranch dressing to dip in!! The chips were Metro Deli Kettle Chips- which is a new brand for me, but very well resembled a fresh homemade chip. The croissant was so good that we went back up to check out their other baked good options. We grabbed a Breakfast Cookie. It was a peanut butter cookie with oats and chocolate chips. The size was big enough to split and warmed up for a second... the cookie is ooey gooey!! The decor is so unique with a pin map to show where the coffee is sourced to a mini book shop to read while sitting or buy to take home. They are clearly a faith based organization with tons of great kids books based on faith and a selection of Bibles too. They also have a stock of board games ready for any patron to bust out enjoy even more fun!! The staff is so sweet. They deliver your food orders to your table and were great to talk to for recommendations and about the store!

Very cute ambience, including nice touches like a classic book collection for purchase. Not super ideal for a "working coffee" shop as local parking has a two hour max or a $10 fine and indoor seating and outlet access is fairly limited but additional outdoor seating is a major plus and a bonus for a coffee meeting or chat with friends. Keep this on your "good for a casual coffee meet up" list for sure!

This is a great place for coffee, specialty drinks, breakfast or lunch…read more I have been here numerous times and always had a good (and tasty) experience. When you walk in, it has a warm, inviting vibe. There are a variety of tables and seating options (including some couch and comfy chair type seating). You order by going up to the counter, and they either call your order or will bring it to your table when it is done if you are eating it there. One down side is that there is a fairly large menu and it isn't always easy to find/see all of the options when you are waiting to order. My daughter saw someone got a bubble tea but at the time we were looking, that menu wasn't easy to spot so we didn't even know it was something they offered! All of their food items are made to order (well, I suppose except for the soup which is home made and just dished out to order). They even have soup flights on certain days! I need to go back and try that because every soup I've ever had here has been delicious. They have the standard coffee menu but also always have some unique and quirky seasonal options. They also have smoothies, bubble teas and some other unique creations. They have tasty breakfast and lunch sandwiches, breakfast scrambles, mac and cheese and a variety of sandwiches. You can easily customize your meals and the staff is great about providing recommendations. It can take awhile to get your food/drinks, but that is because everything is made to order. A fun and tasty place for a bite to eat or a sweet treat!

The drink menu is extensive and full of fun. We went with friends and grabbed Dirty Cherry Pop Lotus Energy Drink, Oatmilk Cold Brew, and Oatmilk Chai Latte. The drinks are so flavorful and fun to sip on! We also grabbed food - a croffle should be more recognized. Croissant waffles rival the popular cronut - croissant donut. We grabbed a Ham and Cheese Croffle and a Cookie Butter Croffle. Everything was made quick even with a large line for the entire time that we were there! The interior is gorgeous. Murals on the walls, photo booth ready in the corner, different size and types of tables and chairs, open air to the back patio with tables right on the bike trail. This Saturday, they even had a pop-up table with Cookey inside the shop too!

I really wanted to love this place because visually, it's beautiful. Everything is super aesthetic…read moreand photographs really well. The baristas were incredibly friendly, kind, engaging, and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. While the staff was friendly, the owner didn't come across as friendly, which changed the vibe a little. I ordered two coffees and a matcha, and unfortunately all three drinks tasted more like watered down milk, than actual coffee or matcha. The coffee-to-ice-to-milk ratio is way way off, and the flavor just didn't come through for any of the drinks. I'll also say, the sign claiming "The world's best canned Matcha" set the bar high... and it absolutely didn't deliver. That's a huge reach. I tried the croffle flight as well. Again, it looked great in pictures, but for $20, it was...meh......just okay. Not horrible, just not something I'd go out of my way for again. Overall, if you're going here for aesthetics and photo ops, this place nails it. But if you actually care about how your coffee or matcha tastes, you will likely leave disappointed. As a trusted Yelp Elite Member, this is not a business I could or would recommend.

You know it is going to be a good paczki when it is heavy and they didn't disappoint. They had several traditional flavors but also had two rotating specialty flavors.
