****UPDATE: 5/9/15 My fiancé bought my engagement ring here back in April 2014. With the care plan I am able to have it sent out every 6 months for a "spa cleaning treatment" and the care plan covers any mishaps while owning the ring. Thankfully since I've had my ring, we haven't had any problems with it (knocks on wood.) Today we went in to purchase our wedding bands for our wedding in August. We came in with our iPad to show pictures of what type of ring we were looking to purchase. Paula was very helpful and right away she was able to put rings together that they had in the store to at least give us a better feel and visual for the types of rings that were online and unavailable at the store. She really worked with us and listened to find what we were looking for therefore making our visit really easy. All is all, our rings are en route and we can't wait to pick them up. If Paula is unavailable, go to Adriana! Adriana is easy and fun to talk to and really knows her stuff about jewelry and can also give you recommendations on what would look good. The Zales Outlet is located in the middle outlet building/complex of the 3 outlet buildings. They recently under went an entire store renovation and I must say, everything looks super modern, sexy and sleek. The jewelry cases are better organized and the when the light hits the diamonds you really see that BLINGy shine! Been coming here for almost 2 years for my pieces, my then bf purchased my promise ring here and I've never had any problems. Kathleen is so sweet and Ivonne is pretty helpful at times, but Paula is awesome! Selection is pretty reasonable and if they don't have what you want... They can certainly order it for you. I purchased a promise ring for my girlfriend at this location. I walked in really nervous since I have never bought anything so expensive before. Waiting for help basically took forever. I was waiting for so long. No one would give me the time of day. So finally I interrupted someone and told them I am in a hurry and knew what I wanted. I got a promotional deal that they were giving if I signed up for the zales card. So I purchased everything and the lady said I would pay 40$ more for my last payment if it exceeded January. So I had one payment left this month of 80$ and it told me I owed 400$$. Apparently all the interest calculates. I was so mad and called customer service and told me there is nothing they could do or I could do unless I pay it. So I payed in full and told them out relationship is over!!! read more

During the holidays I was required to get my wife's annual diamond inspection done. December is always a busy time but that was when the purchase was made and the policy issued. None the less my wife and I dipped in for the check up to the Camarillio outlet location. The store was jammed packed with shoppers. Most just window shoppers. There were only two young ladies staffed. They were swamped and managed to keep their composure even with some unruly and rude people that were in the store that day. My wife and I were not in a rush so we opted to watch the show. Eventually after about 25 minutes we were serviced and allowed the girls to catch their breath. A third employee had just came in to assist. These two ladies were True Professionals and the kind of employees that should be recognized. For what it's worth I hope that someone from Zales or even just their store manager see's this post. You need to commend these two ladies as they are two for the Best Jewels in your store. Zales as a company has poor customer service and this store isn't an exception. I came in to get a ring sized and the customer service lady that helped me said they could only size it 2 sizes for free since I purchased the lifetime warranty (an extra couple hundred dollars) but any more than 2 sizes would be an additional fee. Previous Zales stores I have dealt with haven't had a problem sizing a brand new ring whether it be 2 sizes or not. After spending thousands of dollars at Zales in general they wanted to nickel and dime me for $180 just for sizing!! To add to this ridiculous spectacle of customer service, I brought my Unstoppable Love necklace in to this store to check out a defect where the diamond in the middle stopped "spinning". Their recommendation was yes its defective and its only 6 months old but we can't help you unless you purchase an item double the price and what you spent on the original necklace would be applied to your new "upgrade". This is a very shady store that is unhelpful in every way possible. Sad thing is this is the closest Zales to me (2 hours from my home), now I have to drive even further for my 6 month inspections. I recently went in to the store and purchased a piece online. Unfortunately when I received it, it was not what I expected. My husband and I went to return it hoping there wouldn't be any issues. I have to say the staff were completely understanding. NIGHTMARE!! After working with their custom jeweler (I don't know where they found the guy) for more than two months on a custom ring, the diamond fell out of the setting within 10 minutes of me wearing it. We were so upset we demanded a full refund and took our business elsewhere. I know it's not entirely Zales' fault but they contracted they guy so they are essentially putting their name on his work. Where to start... ( I have never given a bad review) And if I could give negative stars I would... My now husband and I went to Zales to look at engagement rings back in 2012. He didn't have the best credit, so we used my name to get the ring while he set up an automatic payment coming from his account. Granted they never had my right address I never received anything in the mail. Today I find out that we owe 3837.42. the ring was originally 3621.... its October 2014. This is the Zales credit card company I have to talk to now (even though the Zales clerks were the ones who gave us all the information about the credit card). And they told me they charged me over 1200 in back interest, but an additional 100 a month. So now I am literally going to have to sell my ring to help make the payments. (this was the latest event) I cant believe this happened. and there is nothing they can do about it? even though they have had my address wrong this entire time? they didn't think to tell my husband when he called to set up payments to say, "hey we have had your mail sent back for months now... what's your address?" Seriously? In my opinion they are all out to get your money. We should have known it was too good to be true! My husband and I got married in July 2014. We eloped. we went about a month and a half before out trip, maybe even a month, to go look at wedding rings. We found the ones we liked, and they both had to be sized. My husband wanted a tungsten. (because of his work doing construction... which I find funny how they would even let us buy this) We asked and made sure they would be ready before we had to eloped and she assured us that they would. So when I received the call to pick them up it was perfect timing a week before we were going to leave. We were so excited! When I get their there is only my ring to pick up... I expressed that we were leaving in a week and that we were told that they would be ready. Apparently the lady who sold us the rings didn't know that my husbands ring was a special order and could take up to 6 weeks at minimum. (She was new) I was beyond livid. So they gave us a temporary ring to take on our trip. The ring was a little too big for his finger so he only wore it for dinners and our special day. We actually almost lost it during the ceremony. But we were out at dinner talking with some people we had met. (he likes to talk with his hands....) and poof! it flys off his finger... and BREAKS! shatters! REALLY?! I honestly don't believe they would have taken it back or let us return it if the diamonds had fallen off. My advise is to stay away, because I feel completely taken advantage of. Granted I am beyond upset and pissed right now, I would never recommend them! And there are a few good people that work there. I just cant believe the one thing I am supposed to have forever I am now going to have to sell to make up for this. They ruined this whole experience for me! If someone were to let us know they would be with us as soon as they could I would of stayed. My husband and I bought two wedding bands from them almost a year ago. One of the bands had a diamond fall out. When we took it in to get fixed they told us about this diamond bond and how every 6 months I'm supposed to bring in my rings. NO ONE TOLD US ABOUT THIS AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE! My husband then fought them on it and the lady told him it'll be another two weeks since they got "approval" from the jeweler! When they Never mentioned anything of that before! With Zales being such a big brand names with diamonds and jewelry you would think they would have better customer service. We were looking for wedding bands. Zales had a sale on the wedding bands we wanted so we placed an order and paid for the rings that day. We were told it would take about 2-3 weeks for the rings to come in. Great! Our wedding date was 4 weeks from that day and my husband deploys soon after. To make a long story short it's been 6 weeks. My husband recieved his wedding band and I still haven't got mine. I had no ring for my vow exchange. How sad and disappointing is that???? I've called Zales numerous times and been given the run arounds and " I'll call you back" bull crap. Finally One of the associate called and left a message on my phone about placing an urgent special UPS delivery that will arrive on Wednesday may 11th at 10:30am. My ring will be there and ready for pick up. My husband went after 2pm and still NO RING. WHAT IS THE DEAL HERE?????!!!!!! Their explanation is "there must be an error in the order". AGAIN???????? Why did you call us and have him come in if the ring is not there???? It's just a plain wedding band!!!!!! There's nothing "special" about this ring!!! My husband drove all the way to Zales for nothing. The associate who called us was not there after she said she would be in all week to make sure the ring is deliver to us. Again they said they will call us. This is so ridiculous. If it really takes 6 or more weeks for delivery then so say!!!!! Don't give us the run around! We called this store and asked what they needed in order to process the return of an online purchase. They told us what we needed, but that they didn't accept returns on the last day of the month (load of crap). We went the next day to return the ring and the sales person said we couldn't return it without a slip (something they failed to tell us over the phone). We told them we drove for an hour and that their staff said this would be sufficient to process the return. They didn't even try to help or contact the online service. It was very frustrating. My boyfriend bought me a beautiful promise ring for Christmas from Zales outlet. I went in a couple weeks later to have it resized (he bought the insurance so it was free) and they said two weeks, and they called me on the estimated date saying it was ready. Not even 24 freaking hours after picking it up I got it caught on a fence and mangled it beyond repair. I was crushed. I took it in and they were so nice, said they would send it out ASAP to do what they could, but that it didn't look good. In a follow up call they said that there was a small chance it would be wearable again due to the way the diamonds were pushed back. I was just so heartbroken, I mean my bf is still paying it off and I can't even wear it. Well, I went today and The jeweler did a great job....(The ring was a mess, diamonds pushed up and out, the frame was cracked, the top pulled up... Imagine catching it on a fence and pulling back as hard as you could...) But he made not only wearable but damn near perfect from the top view. The service I received from the counter to the jeweler was exactly what I would expect of an establishment that cares about their customers. i got my fiancee a engagement ring for here a vera wang the ring did not fit her finger so i took it back to get sized they told me they would have to send it out because all vera wang rings have to get sent out to do so i was like ok two weeks not that bad so when i went to pick up the ring they could not size it from 6.5 to 7.5 and no one called to tell me this and they said they could make a new one and would take up too 8 weeks to get back then she said they would just take it to a local jeweler even know all vera wang rings have to get sent out so i was like ok do it and when i called to check up on it the girl had a real bad attitude over the phone and keep on asking me if i paid for the rush pay will my fiancee has not had here ring on since so this hole thing sucks read more
