Honestly didn't get what I asked for or paid for. Horrible communication, when I asked him to fix it he fix it and it had black dot on it. Asked him what it was. He said he didn't see it I told him it was right there. He was asking me if I was messing with him. I told him I wasn't but my ring was scratched and dirty. The holder of the diamond wasn't what I wanted either. I'm so upset. The holder is too bulky and it didn't have the stamp of 14k. When I got it the first time. I had to go back in to tell him it needed the stamp. Huge red flag. I paid 650$ for just the holder the diamond wasn't mine read more

I went to this business to have a link removed from my watch for a better fit. After looking at the watch briefly the owner said this is going to be tough. I let him know that it was a simple job that I could do with the proper tool. I thanked him for nothing and left the store wondering how he makes a living in such a squalor jewelry store no problem a kind lady named Sue less than a mile away. Was happy to do the job for me. It took a whole 2 to 3 minutes I paid her $20 for her effort, $20 for a two minute job is not bad money per hour. I would not recommend Camarillo jewelers George Thompson would be even better. read more

Beware!!!! I took my engagement ring here. He was not friendly. I had a small signature sapphire inside my ring. He told me my ring was silver it was not and he took the sapphire out and kept it, he said it wasn't worth anything. I left very unhappy and came back with my mom he denied anything was ever there until she threatened him then suddenly he remembered got the stone but super glued it upside down. Be very careful when doing business. Anyone who will lie and insult you at the same time is not a very good person UPDATE! He told me he tightened the stones in my ring but so far I have lost three!!! Do not go here if you care anything about your jewelry, I have lost 3 stones so far. The owner here makes all of the jewelry himself. He, his wife, and their daughter help run the shop. They have always been kind and welcoming to my family. I *love* the jewelry that I have bought here. They are good, high-quality pieces that stand the test of time. My Mom and I are like kids in a candy shop when we come here! Everything is so beautiful, and can be modified to our requests (since, you know, the owner makes everything, you can have custom made pieces). I only wish that they had a website so I can browse and drool over everything when I'm not in town. read more

Last year my youngest and I went into this store to find out about resizing my wedding ring and also re purposing another ring. My jewelry was probably close to 8k in worth. First thing we noticed when we walked in the store was the stench of cigarettes. I happened to see an ashtray on a desk that was over flowing. The attitude of the man who "helped" us was that he couldn't be bothered. His attitude when he gave us the expensive quote was sort of of daring us to accept it. We politely but quickly left the store and will not be returning - ever. I cannot imagine how the residue from the cigarette smoke would effect the jewelry there. read more

DO NOT HAVE YOUR WATCH BATTERY CHANGED HERE OR ANY SERVICE TO YOUR WATCH. BAD./BAD OWNER! I went to Camarillo Jewelers for the first time to have my Seiko watch battery replaced. I have had the watch for 35 years without any problems over the years with many, many batteries being replaced. The watch is water resistant and I have gone swimming in the ocean, pools and the shower with out any problem for 35 years! You can't dive with it and I never did. When serviced with proper sealing, there is never a problem. I went in the pool for 10 min on that week-end and my watch filled with water, I brought it back to Camarillo Jewelers and he said that it was my fault. He takes no responsibility for ruining the watch. He never told me that it was not water resistant after his service and claims a water resistant watch should not be worn in the water. However, although he claims to have warned me, he never did. Why would I go in the water and ruin the watch if i knew that. He's BAD. I called Seiko and they told me to send it back for evaluation and it appeared, from the conversation that the watch was not serviced correctly. Although Camarillo Jewelery is a Seiko dealer does not mean they are authorized for proper repair. He has been in business for 35 years and has very good reviews for Jewelery but again, DO NOT SERVICE YOUR WATCH HERE. I recently got my wife for Xmas diamond stud earrings with screw on backs. My wife lost one of the backs and the Owners daughter found the exact replacement and gave it to us at no charge. I asked for an appraisal for a Rolex Oyster, well actually just confirmation that it was a genuine piece and the owner of the store immediately dismissed it as fake because I have a young appearance and complexion. They also made comments about the watch being stolen, which was extremely rude and inappropriate. I took the watch to a reputable jeweler in Thousand Oaks and upon opening the watch they definitively confirmed that the watch was in fact genuine, and was obviously not stolen because I received it as a gift from my father. The staff of this degenerate shop are presumptuous and prejudiced based on appearance, and don't care about giving a quality product to the customer. Will never enter this bastion of ignorance again. -1/5 read more

My better half stopped in early afternoon 8/18/16 to have her diamond ring cleaned, a ring I purchased 3 years ago for several thousand dollars. While there she asked the owner/propieter what he thought it was valued at (something she wouldn't have done in my presence, no doubt). He looked at it through a jeweler's loupe, tested it with an electronic diamond tester, and checked again with the loupe. After which, he said "the diamonds aren't real". The proprietor's female counterpart responded "are you sure", and he confirmed "they aren't real... they're very nice CZ..". My better half didn't bother with the cleaning, she took her ring, walk to her car, and phoned my office in tears. Later the same afternoon I took the ring to the reputable jeweler I purchased it from and confronted the sales person with the findings of Camarillo Jewelers. The sales person checked with a loupe, tested electronically, and assured me that all diamonds in the ring are real. Being the skeptic I am, I googled "certified diamond appraisers" and found Ben Bridge TO at the AGS' website. I rushed over and had them evaluate the ring utilizing multiple methods, and was given complete assurance of the authenticity of all of its diamonds. They even cleaned it for free. Late the following morning I paid Camarillo Jewelers a visit and told the pair what they'd put us through. The same person retested the diamonds and simply said "they're real". The woman apologized and blamed equipment. I assume it was an honest mistake, but I'll never really know. In any case, Camarillo Jewelers has put me through the ringer. Nazar at Camarillo Jewelers is THE BEST. He is a true craftsman and takes great pride in his work. We brought a very important piece, a family heirloom, to him to be polished up and it was perfect and gorgeous when we picked it up. We took the same piece back to him after another local jeweler nearly ruined it (I should have taken it to Nazar!! What was I thinking?) and he fixed it, by hand, with great care. He is so amazing.
