I brought in an anklet I had originally purchased from a different location because it had snapped, and I wasn't even sure they'd be able to help since I wasn't in their system for that store. The associate who helped me (I wish I caught her name!) was incredibly kind and patient. She looked up my registered purchase, found it right away, and took the anklet in for repair without any issue. The repair took a couple of weeks, but because I purchased the warranty, any future breakage or adjustments are completely free, which is such a relief for delicate pieces like anklets. When I came back to pick it up, she already had it prepared and waiting for me. The whole experience was smooth, friendly, and stress-free. Nia who was and is absolutely incredible to work will took care of our scary situation when it came to my wedding set that was less than 6 months old. It was a freak accident but the entire setting snapped off the bands. Thankfully with Nia's persistence she was able to get my wedding set replaced. My husband and I didn't realize that the ring I picked out on line was actually a ring form a second party (online jewelers) but she never gave up, it took about a week for them to make the decision but if she hadn't we would have been out about $5,000. I found out what a flipped world we live in! - Natural diamond on 10K gold but Lab Grown diamond on 14K gold? The joke's on them: they don't have natural diamond on high karat gold setting in stock at all. And the dude tried to tell us natural and lab grown are the same. Well, Real stone vs. Fake stone. Natural bxxb vs. Fake bxxb. Organic vs GMO. Natural born baby vs. Incubator baby. It's all about preference right? Which one do i prefer? If natural diamond takes hundreds of millions of years to be formed while lab's takes just a few days, i'd take natural in a heartbeat even though it costs more, because it's natural. To flip and downgrade natural on bare minimum gold content setting is a disgrace to mother nature. Wonder why the jewelry industry pushes so hard on lab grown stone, hmm it's definitely a conspiracy theory. BTW, their jewelries are made in other countries. Not sure if i can trust its authenticity. Due to other locations being closed, this is unfortunately the closest Zales to my home. I come here for all my needs whenever it has to do with promise ring inspections. After so many years of having my ring and not utilizing it, I made the decision to repurpose the diamond and make it into a set of earrings instead. This means i'd have to find an exact solitaire to mine regarding the 4 C's [color, cut, clarity, & carat]. Since my ring was purchased through Zales I wanted to make this additional purchase through them as well. You'd think the process would be pretty straight forward but I was so wrong. First off, the associates couldn't locate our purchase through their system. They searched names & telephone numbers but came up with nothing. Apparently our purchase was so long ago, old profiles aren't kept within their system?? Secondly, I was repeatedly asked if I wanted to upgrade the diamond. Each and every sales associate I came across asked me the same thing. I get that this stems from commission purposes but I was pretty clear in what I wanted and needed. Thirdly, Zales doesn't carry ANY loose diamonds in-house!!! They have single solitaire rings but no actual loose diamonds to look at & compare. These kind of purchases have to be ordered. So much time was spent in the store and I basically left the same way I walked in- EMPTY HANDED. The staff offered to take down my name and number and would give me a call back once they were able to locate our details regarding the initial purchase and options regarding the diamond I am in need of. It's been WEEKS and no call, no update, no nothing!! 1 star. I really had high hopes for Zales and they just didn't come through. So much for keeping my purchases within the same company. If I could give -5 I would. My husband bought my ring there in 2014. He also bought his and we even recommended our brother in law. After some years now in 2022 we wanted an upgrade. When we bought it back in 2014 they told us that we could upgrade later on and it just needed to be double the value. When we went to the store we picked the upgrade and when we were trying to trade it the old one it was a complete hustle. They came up with 3 different excuses as to why my ring did not qualify for the trade in. The MOST ridiculous excuse was that we had bought a USED ring! Which they didn't say when we bought it! We never knew it was used! Who would want a used weeding ring?! They were not trying to help us AT ALL. Their answer was "I was not there in 2014 so I don't know what was said" (obviously I wasn't going to upgrade 2 weeks later) instead of providing good customer service or trying to solve the issue. If the guy that sold it to us lied just to make a sale, it was not our problem they should train their personal correctly and they should have honor it. They are not even nice, they are only nice when they are trying to sale. But when it comes down to an issue there's no accountability. Horrible experience! Don't buy there even if they tell you that you qualify for upgrades later on, they won't do it! They will come up with excuses and they will not follow through. My husband had to call them a few times for them to even have an answer. They would say that they will call back and weeks later no call back! Had to keep calling. I ordered a Movado watch from Zales for my husband for Christmas. UPS lost the package, and has listed the package as lost on the tracking as well as informed me by phone that it is lost. Zales has opened an investigation , and will reply only by email within 10-14 business days. There are 13 business days until Christmas, so it is very unlikely that I will get a refund or replacement in time. This is an expensive gift that I will not be able to replace without a refund. I recently ordered a new wedding band for my husband online. I received confirmation via email that my order had shipped. The tracking information received was incorrect. I called customer service to get the actual tracking information, and was told that my order had been delivered. I never received the order. Per Zalea shipping company UPS said the order was delivered. I contacted UPS's automated system about the claim, and it stated that they were still looking for my package. i thought Zales would be a creditable company. I have found this not to be the case. On Aug 28, 2020 at 3:58 pm I made a purchase at Zales. com for a locket for my sister. Her birthday was on Sept 18 I thought this would be the perfect gift and would arrive in time to surprise her. I looked on website to see if they had the option for curbside orders, which would be great just in case the order arrives on her actual birthday. Due to the Covid 19 I thought this would be a great option and placed the online order. The next week I called to inquire about having a picture sent to be placed inside of the locket and was told that this option is for certain orders. I also wanted to know once my order will arrive at the store would I call the store to have the curbside order fulfilled. I was told they are short staff and can not do curbside although the website clearly states curbside. My order was ready on Sept. 4, 2020, but curbside orders were not available according to the clerk by phone, and there have been multiple shootings at this location. I did not feel safe between Covid 19 and the shootings going into a Mall for a locket that was stated to offer curbside assistance. I called customer service to figure out my next steps, but they were unable to locate someone at the store. On the email it stated if my order was not picked up by 9/19/20 it will be returned, and I would obtain a Refund. My sister was unable to get her gift and I decided to wait on the refund. I called customer service and the North riverside store with the inability to have my money refunded back into my account. I contact the store the Oct 2. 2020 and spoke to a representative that stated "she would refund my account ". It is now Oct 25, 2020 and I have not received a Phone Call, Email, Or any correspondence regarding this transaction. This was a horrible experience and I will not be doing business with Zales in the future. The customer service and follow ups are horrible. My sister never received her gift and the curbside option has not been updated and is still listed on the website. He had a cheap $25 ring from Walmart that didn't cause a rash but they insist on charging to coat the ring even though their dishonest practice of using subpar materials caused my husband pain.
