Probably the best meal I got at Busch Gardens with my all day pass. Lines were super long. After getting our meal, we made a line to pay only to have something happen to the register requiring a reboot and longer wait. Ribs were ok but had a good amount of fat. Fries were cold by the time we sat down. Chocolate cake was good. We sat outside where they had limited seating and birds tried hard to steal our food. We timed it perfectly, as the restaurant became extremely crowded right after we got in line. The setup is cafeteria-style: you start by placing your drink order, grab a tray, and then choose your meal options as you move through the line. I went with the BBQ ribs, fries, and a s'mores cheesecake for dessert. I also picked up a refillable cup ($22) while there--since the meal deal only includes a drink every 90 minutes, I didn't want to risk going thirsty in between. The BBQ ribs were absolutely delicious! While they didn't fall off the bone, they were packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying. The fries were perfectly cut and seasoned, and I devoured them in no time. The s'mores cheesecake was tasty, but the portion was quite large, and I couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared to carry leftovers around the park so early in the day. Zambia Smokehouse has officially become my go-to spot whenever I visit Busch Gardens. Because of that I was expecting to get a plate full of low quality entertainment park food, but we got what felt like 5 star restaurant cuts of barbecued meat. The brisket was heavenly for my husband and the ribs were so juicy and delicious. And they gave us so much! I can't believe the quantity and quality for the price. We also get a giant stack of fries on the side, baked beans, Texas toast and, with the dining pass, a side each. The Mac and cheese and coleslaw sides were meh, but we didn't have room to eat them with the rest of the meal so it didn't matter. We devoured the meat and fries. The beans were good, but again, we just didn't have room in our stomachs. Plus the drink that comes with the all day dining. This was such a find. This is a cafeteria style restaurant in that you get a tray, and then select your food & drink as you walk in a line from drinks to desserts (tempting) to ready made foods like salads and sandwiches to the hot stuff - ribs, brisket, chicken and sides, like waffle fries. We got the ribs and waffle fries (Husband) and combination plate of 2 pieces of brisket, chicken breast, and 2 ribs with waffle fries (friend and I split this). After getting our food, we picked a line to pay for our food. Two lines were open. Ours was the slow one. The folks in front of us were having problems getting their annual pass discount. When it was my turn to pay, I had my annual pass, which got us a 10% off our meal. I also used a $10 voucher I got from Guest Relations, a one time perk in January for anyone with a silver or higher annual park pass. This restaurant had everything we needed to complement our meal: catsup packets, packets of barbecue sauce, napkins, wet naps, utensils, and more. We took what we needed before finding a place outside to eat. The meats were outstanding! The brisket was delicious - tender and tasty. The ribs were so good - falling off the bones, and sweet. The chicken was moist and seasoned perfectly. The waffle fries were good dipped in catsup, but only slightly warm. They would have been better if hot. Wow, the most expensive meal ever! About 3 slices of thin smoked beef brisket, small handful of fries, seasoned one slice of Texas white toast bread and tiny cup of baked beans was about $24.00, Thankfully the brisket was cooked perfectly and was tender. A same size cup of macaroni and cheese was over $7.50, a 16 ounce soda was another $7. All in all about $42.00 for this meal. Cafeteria style service, meat was pre cut and set ion a paper plate with the pre plated up meal. It was pick out the meal you want and almost zero staff interaction unless you wanted a side and/or soda. Staff also didn't seem very happy or friendly. Meh! We got the All Day Dining and this is one of the locations available for dining. We haven't been here in a while so wanted to try it out. Be prepared for a long line and it's sort of muggy inside. Ugh. Despite being busy there still only had 2 registers open and the line was growing of folks holding their heavy trays waiting to pay. They have outdoor seating all around as well as some seating indoor if you walk to the right of where you pay. The food was just meh! The chicken was fall of the bone tender and was juicy. I think that probably tastes the best. Brisket was just ok, fatty around the edges. The rib meat was tough. Waffle fries served with the platters. Our platter was a $22.99 platter and had a sampling of the chicken, brisket and ribs. Strawberries were fresh and good but $5.99 for about 6 berries. read more

Busch Gardens doesn't have the biggest selection of food diversity when it comes to a park but they do have this hidden gem that's tucked away behind a a B&M Dive Coaster where it's turning out some delicious park bbq! Coming here it's all about the sampler platter as you get a good mix of everything that way as it has ribs, chicken, brisket, and fries making for pretty much enough food to share! The chicken and the ribs on my last visit were both fall off the bone good with a Smokey flavor that just made for some yummy bbq all around especially with some of that yummy brisket in between! The fries are your standard cris cut fries that you'd find at Carl's Jr. nothing to crazy about them but they were good to break up the bbq for a bit! They have pickles you so know I'm all for that and while they are just your standard pickle with a good flavor like you can't go wrong there! Drinks wise they have the refillable cups here mine is from Busch Gardens Williamsburg but it's still valid at any parks in the Sea World chain so definitely take advantage of that it will same you some money and keep you hydrated in the forever summer Florida sun! They also offer annual pass membership discounts here so don't forget to take advantage of that to save you a few bucks! Overall yummy park bbq that just make for some good eats on this given day who knows when I'll get back here again but it's definitely not out of the question as sometimes you just get hungry at the park! Pretty good for a theme park. I mean, much better than mediocre pizza or mediocre burgers or mediocre chicken tenders. However, this probably won't live up to your favorite non-theme-park BBQ joint. Brisket: Definitely the tastiest meat on the sampler platter. Super tender, even that plastic knife will slice it like butter. A thick cut that is fully of smoky flavor. Not much BBQ Sauce, but there's packets on the side if you want it. Ribs: The flavor is good for sure, with lots of nice spices and smoke. However, the texture is definitely firmer than fall-off-the-bone-tender, so you'll be chewing off the bone a bit. But generous portion for the sampler and lots of tasty BBQ sauce. Chicken: Ugh, this was extremely dry, It was basically a breast with a wing attached. The wing was decent, but small. The breast was like the complete opposite of brisket in terms of tenderness and moisture. Either drench it with BBQ sauce or take a sip of soda after each bite. Waffle Fries: These were crispy and tasty. Nice that they came along with the sampler platter. Mac & Cheese: Not the creamy kind of mac & cheese, more clumpy. Though it did have a nice browned top. Raspberry Cheesecake: This seemed like a no-bake cheesecake rather than the traditional NY baked kind. And I do prefer the heavier richer baked kind. Really disappointed in this restaurant. There's only one out of for food lanes open, the week of Christmas. We have no idea how long this line is going to take, and they don't even have all of the items on the menu available. They provide an option to mobile order, but you must place your order before you have any idea of how long it'll take to receive your food. They also charger 5% surcharge to mobile order, which I've never seen at a theme park. The price is also quite ridiculous, for some ribs and chips, it's $23. They have BBQ from brisket, ribs, family platter, pulled pork sandwich, etc. The main menu has sides of waffle fries or coleslaw. The other sides are extra. I thought the sandwich was quite dry but the coleslaw was amazing. It did take a while to get through since they were limited on employees. Zambia Smokehouse was our choice for dinner while at Busch Gardens. I added the meal plan to my ticket so I was able to eat once an hour after the first meal. I ordered the half a chicken platter which came with fries and I had apple cobbler as my side. The chicken had a nice smokey BBQ flavor and the fries were good and hot. The cobbler was much better than the chocolate pudding I had for lunch! Service was quick and easy and check-out was fast. Which was important as we still had a few roller coasters to hit before the park closed. You should consider adding the meal plan to your ticket next time you go to Busch Gardens. In addition to the platter and drink plus side you can also receive BOGO deals on snacks which include beer and wine. And water is always free. I used the meal plan twice while at the park. But I used the BOGO four times on snacks. I think the meal plan is definitely worth it! read more

You can get, ribs, ribs combo, pulled pork, brisket combo, 1/2 chicken. Why can I not just get brisket or sausage , what if I don't want chicken at all? The Mac n Cheese is given in a small scoop in a small bowl instead of a hearty serving of the ole ooey guey stuff. We ordered the St. Louis rib platter.. 5- 6 bones a side, a drink and dessert. this place was recommended to us by friends and it did not disappoint. The ribs were juicy, tender and full of flavor, with the fries just right. In fact this place was so good after another hour we returned for a refill takeout. I have to say that this restaurant featured some of the best amusement park food I've ever had outside of the high-end Disney restaurants. We had the all-day food plan which was a ticket special through Busch Gardens. At about $40 a person, we made sure to make it work for us for the entire day. Anyway, you get an entrée, choice of side or dessert, and a drink. At this restaurant, there are choices of chicken, brisket, ribs, and sausage or a combo of several. Sides included fries, Mac and cheese, fruit, and salad. Desserts were cakes and cookies. Drinks were Coke products. All our smoked meats were excellent. We all went for combo meals and the food was so plentiful that my wife could not finish everything. All the meats of chicken, ribs, sausage, and brisket were tender and not over-cooked. The side salads were just meh with greens and tomato and carrots and cheese. Definitely fresh and came with a Ken's dressing packet. The combo meals are $16.99 each not including a drink with adds about $4. So the all-day meal plan was worth it. I'd highly recommend this restaurant in Busch Gardens. Visited Busch Gardens the other day and opted for their Dine and Drink all day option on their website for $15 and what a deal. Not only do you get Dasani water at every stop, you can also get their fountain drinks too. If you get somethig else, it's buy one get one, even on ice cream or other snacks. For dinner, we stopped by this restaurant that served ribs, babyback, chicken or brisket and let me say this....it was amazing! The flavor of their ribs and chicken was excellent; the were so tender and really meaty. They happened to be out of babyback which is ok. Had some of the end pieces that were thin and also dry for my taste. If you're enjoying the park, get the dine all day and you could enjoy this meal every hour! That's the limit on this deal but after 1 meal, you'll be full for hours. read more

Waited an hour in line for food, not a good start. Someone in our party had to get out of line to use the restroom and didn't know if they could fight their way back through the tight zig zag line, so we ordered a to go mobile order for them. When we picked it up, ten minutes after it was supposed to be ready there was a line at the pick up station. They were taking walk ups and making people who had placed orders ahead of time wait. When I got to the front of the line, they had not been filling orders (or texting) and I had to show them what I had already ordered and paid for. They then informed me they were out of chicken for my sandwich, so I rolled with it and went for pork. Then they told me they were out of bread. My party was eating while I had been off waiting 20+ minutes for my "pick up" order. I asked for a refund. The cashier seemed to not know how to do this. Then someone showed up with more bread, so I just got the sandwich and left. Super unprofessional in so many ways. Workers and management dropped the ball. The Zambia Smokehouse was a hit! The smells coming from this restaurant was luring me in like an invisible hook attached to my nose pulling me in. Now on a busy day expect a line but wait because it's worth it. On the day I went the wait was minimum. I had the All Day Dining Meal which allowed us to have one entree and a side or dessert and a drink every hour at one at the designated restaurants throughout the park. (Get this deal its worth it) I ordered the St. Louis Ribs Platter, French Fries , Apple Cobbler. You got at least 5 rib bones smothered in BBQ sauce, the meat was smokey, moist and tender to the bite. The french fries were hot and crispy but they are those kinda fries you better eat them while they are hot or else. The Apple cobbler was sweet . It was ok to me but just note I got a lite caramel drizzle and it was really sweet. I'll pass next time. The menu is full of delicious items like bbq chicken, smoked sausage and brisket. Yes they did have cole slaw but i passed on it. I got great customer service here, the servers were quick and friendly. I got the best Arnold Palmer made here ( Sweet Tea and Lemonade mixed together). I will be back and I suggest you give them a try. Overpriced tourist trap. The line was extremely long for a Thursday afternoon. We got through and a lady serving refused to fill up a customer's baked bean dish to the top. I proceeded to ask her how much that guy is paying for a side of half full baked beans. She said $7. I chose not to get anything at this point, but my guy got the chicken and fries. At least at SeaWorld they give you a dinner roll with your $15 entree, but here they give you fries and dried up meat. The fries are bland. I recommend going outside the park for lunch. There are several restaurants around. Definitely won't go back when though we are pass holders. I'll just go to Olive Garden or wherever. read more

You'll definitely smell the food smoking away long before you see it, so just follow your nose and then get in line. Zambia Smokehouse is set up as a double-sided cafeteria (Two lines with minimal waiting). You grab a tray, and then your drink. After that you gaze longingly at the calorie-laden desserts, and wisely select a salad instead. Then you've got your choice of a smoked meat platter with chicken, ribs, brisket, or all of the above. You can also order wraps or sandwiches, but the platters look to be the better value. Fries seem to be the standard side item, but they also have corn on the cob, baked beans, and mac n cheese. Then it's over to the cashier stand to pick up various sauces, condiments, and plasticware before paying for your meal and finding a table. There is plenty of seating, both indoors where it's air conditioned, or outdoors under patio umbrellas. Everything is a la carte, which means among other things, there are no free drink refills. While most people have the common courtesy to bus their own tables, the staff is quick to clean up after the little piglets and have the tables wiped down for the next group. On this most recent visit I had the smoked chicken platter with a side garden salad and my requisite Diet Coke. The chicken was well-cooked, juicy, and had a delicious smoky flavor. I ended up dipping my fries in the BBQ sauce, and just ate the chicken as is. It was that delicious! The salad was made with fresh ingredients including cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes, so it wasn't just an out-of-the-bag salad mix. There are no hidden rodent figures on the walls, so you can just relax and enjoy a nice meal with family and friends at the Zambia smokehouse inside of Busch Gardens. I used to love Zambia Smokehouse when anheuser busch owned Busch Gardens. Back then they served the best brisket and bread pudding in Tampa Bay and all the meats and sauces were great. Unfortunately, sometime after new ownership of seaworld took over we got annual passes to Busch and regretted it for various reasons, but the change in Zambia Smokehouse had to be the most disappointing for us. The food quality in the entire park went downhill. The brisket is not smoked to perfection and is now sliced too thin and fatty. The barbecue sauce is no longer made with anheuser Busch beer. Now you get barbecue sauce in little packets...what a sin. None of the smoked meats seem to really be smoked. The bread pudding recipe changed. I still think this place is where you can score the best eats in the park hence 2 stars and not 1. It's not bad food, but if you had it before the change in ownership you'd know why I'm so disappointed. read more

The ribs were some of the best I have eaten which surprises me its from a theme park. Lots of room to sit and eat out of the heat. For theme park quick service BBQ, this one is probably one of the best. Sitting under Sheikra, it's almost impossible to not stop here and eat. The delicious smokehouse scent just captures your attention as you walk by or even ride by this place. I had a hard time chosing between the Brisket Sampler and the Ribs Sampler, as both are my favorite thing to eat at BBQ. I ended up going with the Brisket, which comes with 2 slices of Brisket, a quarter of white meat Chicken, a sausage, fries and a roll. The brisket was slightly dry, but still delicious. I devoured the chicken though. It was also slightly dry since it was a chicken breast, but the flavors were so good! The sausage wasn't bad, although I wish it was a spicy sausage. The fries were generic theme park fries which I ended up eating a couple pieces and the roll only took one bite for me to toss it out. It tasted old. I spent about $18 since I got a drink as well. My niece ended up getting a turkey wrap that had a side of coleslaw. Now, I am not a big fan of coleslaw, but their version of it was good enough for me to eat the whole side. Her boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich, which was super tasty. The BBQ sauce is vinegar based and its a tad bit strong. His Cookies n Cream cupcake was Huge! He could barely finish it.
