Vegan Slice THE PIONEER and vegan veggie slice
    Hunter G.

Service was good and the friend that helped me order was kind and answered all my questions. The interior is in the smaller side with only a few barstools so be prepared to potentially take your pizza on a walk. I was excited to try a slice of dairy free cheese (slices available Tuesday and Wednesday only) but found the slice a little lackluster. I got class cheese (dairy free) and a slice of veggie and added chicken (breaded chunks that were kinda sliced) my mistake that I didn't look at the slices before leaving because I would have asked for more cheese. My gripe with getting dairy free cheese (anywhere, not just Zambies) is the lack of cheese even when next to a "normal" slice. The dough was good and I really enjoyed the crust but that's pretty much all my slice was, crust. I might try it again if I'm out on a Tuesday/Wednesday but probably not for awhile.

So we came into town late did some yelp searching and found Zambies was open. The slices were huge, with plenty of toppings, they have pizzas done up and on display so you can see your choice of selections. We got 3 slices to split pepperoni, great Gatsby (special pizza), and sleeping beauty. Along with 2 can sodas. Our only complaint was the flavor of the pepperoni hubby felt it was pepperoning enough for him. We got some ranch and baby let me tell you that ranch set the balsamic on the other so well. It wasnt a favorite for us but it was good. The staff were very polite, and helpful and quick. Oh and the bathroom was cleam.

Yum!!!! Pizza is our favorite. This was nice and thin and crispy, loved it! Prices weren't bad and service was pretty quick considering how busy they were. Loved the layout with seating inside and the open window out front, very inviting! Will add, best eaten fresh as when taken back to our hotel, it did lose its crispiness! But overall a great spot to check out.

Pretty great pizza. The crust is actually tasty, which is a feat because usually, when a slice is the size of a small car hood, the flavor starts to disappear. Somehow, they managed to defy the laws of 'large pizza physics' and kept it delicious. Is it the single best pie in Charlotte? Maybe not, but it's easily a Top 10 contender. I'm also a big fan of the monthly rotation--it's perfect for when I want variety but lack the decision-making skills to choose for myself. The customer service is always solid, and since I keep showing up like a boomerang, they're clearly doing something right.

I don't give many fives but the pizza here? Chef's kiss! We were first timers. The person at the register was patient. Not an expansive menu but high quality. I got the Philly cheesesteak pizza which was a special that day. No guarantee it will be there when you go but if you see it then get it. Bae got the pepperoni and had buyer's remorse when he tasted mine. I tasted his. Great slice of pep. You can't go wrong. Plenty of non-meat options for those we aren "meat-a-tarians". Yes. You read that right. I said what I said. lol Parking in Noda is trash. Always has been. Go an hour earlier than you plan to eat. If you find a parking lot it will be for the day. It's a great area to walk, to shop and to sight see then go back to Zämbies for pizza to go.

Open door, open window vibe, very NoDa. After five years of living here, I think I finally found the best pizza so far at Zambies Pizza and I'm definitely a pizza snob. I got the Padroni and my wife got the Sleeping Beauty. Flavor on top of flavor. Seriously just flavor the whole way through. Every bite had something going on and it all worked. Warm, balanced, and the kind of flavor that makes you slow down and actually enjoy it. Best part for me was the crust. It's almost like finishing with a breadstick, which added even more flavor for me. My wife didn't love the crust, but I was all about it. If you're looking for real flavor and a legit pizza spot in Charlotte, this is it.

Excellent pie! Flavors were on point. You gotta have solid sauce, cheese, and dough as the foundation on any pizza and Zambies comes through with a solid trifecta. 1 slice was all I needed. This is seriously large. Thought I could walk around d eating like I do in NYC, but it's a little to big, to hot and too greasy. Stopped on a park bench to eat it. The staff at the counter were awesome, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'll try a different slice on my next visit.

This little pizza shop has been making quite the buzz around town, so of course I had to see what all the commotion was about! Nestled in the heart of NODA right under a cat café, we found ourselves at Zambies. It's a cute little pizza shop with very limited seating. Luckily we were able to snag some seats by the window and enjoy the people watching while eating our pizza! We received compliments from a passerby on our hair! The pizza slices are massive so I decided to share a slice with my 10yr old. We got the pepperoni pizza slice, which ran me about 8 bucks. My son loved it, for me it was way to salty, I couldn't finish my half. If I return I'd probably try something else. Service was nothing special.

Love this place. The pizzas are amazingly prepared, they pre-cook and just do the final cook when you put your order in. Prices are pretty reasonable, $6.50- $8 per slice. The garlic knots are an amazing flavorful treat, you can get the desert option which comes with a glaze instead of the garlic butter. Everyone is pretty cool and laid back. No problems with customer service in all my trips. They are usually pretty crowded but they work through the line quick. Grab and go or find a little corner to chill in. Would love to see a beef sausage or pepperoni option.

This place gets busy. The parking in this area is also dicey. I tried to get in on a busier night and gave up, going elsewhere nearby. I stopped again mid-afternoon and found it easier to get a slice. These are expensive slices, but I wouldn't question the value for the money. These things are huge. The crust is thin and floppy and delivers a hint of carmelization. The topping options included a fun vegetarian special with a lot of peppers and mushrooms. Drink options were okay but they charged me for a bottled water, which irked me. Notably, they also have vegan offerings, though on most days you would have to order a whole pizza, which is giant and costs like $50. They offer vegan slices on some midweek days, perhaps to spice up otherwise slow times. I wasn't able to try them, but I'll bet they're good.

Zambies Pizza is the late-night lifesaver after a night out on the town. Tucked away at 3204 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205, this spot makes it way too easy to grab a slice and keep the good vibes rolling. The pies are on full display--bright, hot, and begging to be chosen. Just point at your slice, let them toast it to perfection, and get ready for pure happiness on a paper plate. That first bite? Magic. The crust had the right chew, the sauce hit with just enough tang, the cheese stretched like a dream, and the toppings brought it all together. Simple, fast, and downright delicious--Zambies nails that perfect balance that every pizza joint should chase. #GratuityAdded #pizzalover #foodieclt #ZambiesPizza #foodblogger #foodstagram #cltpizzagram #noda #charlotte #charlottenc #plazamidwood #nodaclt #queencity #eatdrinkclt #charlottesgotalot #exploreclt #charlottefood #cltfood #clteats #cltfoodie #queencity #charlotteeats #charlottesgotalot #eatdrinkclt #exploreclt #bestfoodcharlotte #cltfoodies #discoverclt #cltguide

Zambies is perfect if you're wandering around and need a solid slice. The slices are huge--like actually huge--and hit the spot when you're hungry. I stopped in over Valentine's Day weekend and they were making these giant heart-shaped pizzas, which was fun to watch and added a nice touch. Not a ton of seating, but honestly ideal for grabbing a slice to go while you keep exploring. Definitely glad I stumbled into this place.

Was having a pizza craving and went on the suggestion of a coworker. So glad I did! Really sizeable portion, even for a big eater like myself. I also like the whole vibe inside, gold chairs and monochrome tropical imagery, very Miami. I wish the chairs were more comfy, but it didn't change my opinion of the pizza. Loved the sleeping beauty! I'm a sucker for balsamic, complimented the white sauce really well. I was also really delighted by the buttery crust. It's walking distance from work, so I will be dropping through for a late night snack again.

A couple of bites is all ya need to prepare for their delicious pizzas. My go to is light on the Pepperoni Well Done (important) and a side of hot honey sauce and a side of plain honey. Because the hot stuff ain't no joke- I have to turn down the spice by mixing the two. Then it's like the best Sweet and Salty you can dream of then the heat kicks you in the face in the best way. To top it off don't even think about leaving before you have one of their brown butter chocolate chip cookies! They are ridiculous and a must. The reason we came in to order to-go was because we weren't happy with the Door-Dash delivery of same last time. The pizza just didn't travel well. This time with our to-go order it traveled a bit better and was fresher. We think it would be even better (4 stars) if we dined in. We also had a nice salad of mixed greens with dried cherries and the like, but it didn't come tossed. The dried cherries were in one corner, the onions in another ... you get the idea. Tossing would have made it easier to eat on-the-go. But the service people were very nice, and the store was clean and roomy with a semi-open kitchen. We'd give this place another try next time when dining in.

The waiter was efficient, not friendly but not unfriendly either, just doing his job pretty much. Would have been nice to have him check on us once or twice but again not the biggest deal. The pizza: my son really enjoyed it and gave it a 5/5 and hubby ranked it a 3/5. He thought the crust was a tad too soggy. Side Caesar: 3/5 had some pieces of the lettuce that should have never made it in the salad and the dressing was just okay. Morty: also a 3/5. Too much arugula, we took some out and then seasoned the rest with s&p and some crushed red pepper flakes. It just lacked a depth of flavor and the bread and arugula overpowered it. The seasoning helped a bit. I even added garlic aioli based on a review I read on here but I didn't taste it. The pasta salad it came with also lacked flavor, though very green and appearing loaded with flavor it was not. And when eating it, the texture was very gummy. Didn't finish that. Overall, it was okay but I'm not likely to return just because there are better options based on the things we tried. But taste is subjective and it just wasn't our vibe today. But check it out for yourself because we only tried three things and the pictures of the other pizzas do look amazing. That is all!

Their patio is so fun, the street you overlook is pretty chill so there weren't a lot of cars or noise. The area has good enough traffic for decent people watching, that's always fun. Our server was so funny and cool. I wish I could remember his name, but he was having a good convo with the person I was with about basketball and it was just really nice. It felt like I was home on my couch hanging with friends. It's such a cool chill place. I loved the pizza, olives app and the old fashioned. It was nice to actually meet the owner too, he is the person who greeted us when we walked in and he was really nice. This place just seems like a good neighborhood spot. If I lived closer I'd probably go a lot more often. Great spot!!

Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.
