Pizza WILL be ordered from Pie in the Sky and it will be exactly what you need. This place is located towards the back of the French Quarter, right before you enter Latta Arcade. They a really small shop and it can sometimes be a little crammed in there. Nonetheless, they have plenty of display where you can easily see what flavor pizza they currently have in stock. The staff seems nice considering dealing with crowds on a gameday must take a toll on them. They have other items on their menu to not include just pizza, but it has never crossed my mind to order anything but pizza here. You cannot go wrong with the staples like Pepperoni or Cheese. I have also tried their Margherita and Sausage + Pepperoni in the past. The slices are well sized and come out at the perfect temperature if they heat them up before serving them. There are plenty of seasonings, sauces, and parmesan to top your pizza off to your liking. The pizza is fuel to keep going in the hectic atmosphere that is the French Quarter. You will have much better luck getting a couple slices here rather than trying to wait anywhere else.I do not believe it is close to authentic New York pizza and saying so would be a disservice to our Northern neighbors, but it is decent pizza with quick service in an area where things become congested. read more

I will not order from them again and wouldn't suggest them for catering. Taste is 5/10. They are thin crust but it was somehow still dense and chewy- not light and flaky as thin crust should be. We used them for a corporate pizza party, about $300. They delivered on time and were helpful with setting up. We ordered 10 large pizzas, sodas plus plates.. they only gave like 15 paper plates. They also got the order wrong- mixing up one pie. The delivery person didn't seem very concerned or apologetic about it. I called later on to alert a manager of the situation and was met by the same delivery person... telling me they are the manager. It goes a long way when a mistake is met with a sincere apology or even some offer to remediate but we received neither. read more

I ordered lunch via DoorDash the day before my meeting. 45 minutes before my meeting the restaurant via DoorDash canceled on me. I was expecting 20 hungry ppl for a working lunch meeting and I had no food. I remembered the pizza shop I went to a couple of weeks prior and the hustle in the place. So I called. I thought they would hang up on me when I explained my dilemma but the gentleman on the phone helped order, offered some suggestions and even offered delivery (we are right across the street). Stopped in here before a baseball game last night and the people who work there are so nice and helpful. My favorite pizza in charlotte. Years ago when I first moved to Charlotte and I started my first job working uptown, this is the first place I tried for lunch. A coworker and friend swore by it and insisted on taking me. It's tucked away in the Latta arcade and has no seating inside. But as soon as you walk in you should smell the fresh pies in the oven and you'll know they are the real deal. As far as I know they have only ever been open on week days and they don't stay open late so unless you work uptown you may not have had a chance to try them, but never fear! They are able to deliver using delivery apps. They also can accommodate take out orders, I've seen them come through for large orders with great service which is surprising given the size of this place and how busy it gets. They are very efficient! They have your classics like cheese and pepperoni but they always surprise with creative additions each day. The Buffalo chicken has always been my favorite but the other day I tried a slice of pesto chicken and bacon and it was fantastic. read more

Finding New York Style Pizza in CLT has been a food battle, to say the least but this spot is pretty good. It's small but do not judge an eatery by its cover. The slice was just right - not too much dough, even portion on the sauce and cheese. Their chicken parm on a hoagie was super filling that you may have to skip dinner. Sorry I am only here 5 months i moved from New York so heard good things and could not wait for pie in the sky to open .Well I just got back from going there I went with a friend his crust was burnt and mine well the cheese was NOT evenly spread and the same with the pepperoni. I only live .5 miles from this restaurant. My pizza arrived on time but it was very cold. It did not seem to have been freshly prepared, or cooked properly. I'm very disappointed with the product and would not recommend anyone ordering from this restaurant for pizza. For $5.00 a slice, this was not a good pizza at all. I think that this is only my second time ordering from this restaurant, and both times have been less than satisfactory for the price of the food. Y'all..... I have a bad habit of getting salads from here at least twice a week. My favorite salad is the strawberry spinach with raspberry vinaigrette. It is AMAZING. $7.47 and includes a drink. They have a few bar table type seating right outside the place. They also have couple stools inside. It's mainly a to-go place for uptown. Big sucker for pizza here... Well, anything with bread and cheese, I am pretty much a the head of the line. Been wanting to try Pie in the Sky Pizza for the longest time, but never got a chance to due to walking by and having a line "out the door". I totally understand why there is a line now- so worth it. The place is tiny, you walk in and order (so hence why the line usually goes out the door), but it's located in Latta Arcade, which is one of my favorite places to go for my lunch hour working Uptown. No matter what the size this place is, they sure know how to pack a punch in their pizza. NY style pizza, where folding is optional, but maybe required... but they do their pizza well here. I am definitely a fan. I haven't had any of their specialty pizzas, but two cheeses and a drink for $5.99.... is hard to beat. The even bigger bonus is that you can take the pizza and walk over to the park to eat it, or be lucky enough to get a small table in the arcade to enjoy it. read more

Came for an early lunch around 11:00 before the lunch rush descends upon the Latta Arcade. I ordered a single slice of the Chicken Alfredo, and for whatever reason, this version had bacon and no mushrooms (a swap I was totally fine with). The slice was a really good size for $3 and the garlic alfredo sauce was incredibly flavorful. The sauce was so good that I felt like it didn't even need the chicken or bacon, which is weird for me to say, as I usually load my pizzas with as many toppings as I can find. The staff was really friendly as well. I was greeted from so many different directions when I walked in that my head was spinning. I'll definitely be back! UPDATE: Ordered a Sausage & Pepperoni slice today. It wasn't quite as good as the Chicken Alfredo & Bacon slice I got last time, but it was still really good. I appreciated the honesty and placed my order for a large pie with mushrooms. 75 minutes later they were knocking on my door. Sweet! There are a million funny signs to read and pictures to look at while you wait for your food. It's mostly a walk up counter but there are a few tables.
