I ordered a Hawaiian Hottie Burger on January 9, 2025. The burger was dry with no mayo or any other condiments. The food was cold and had absolutely no taste. I have had better burgers in a frozen dinner. I wouldn't recommend eating there. read more

I love HEALTHY food options and FRESH food. So, naturally I was excited to try this restaurant. I ordered a tuna sandwich. It comes on Dave's Killer Bread: exactly the brand I love. I asked for tomato lettuce and mustard. Perhaps she didn't hear me - I got tuna and lettuce. Here's the bad news: 1) you weren't the least bit friendly nor happy - not even service with a smile 2) the bread was old - older than a week judging by the staleness 3) you didn't give a damn about anything - not your appearance, not the presentation of the food, not making customers feel good about trying your establishment Great concept. Poor execution. Old food. Not going back to support two unfriendly unhealthy looking women who look like they don't shower and don't care about anything but making a buck in an establishment boasting fresh healthy food. While visiting Corpus Christi, and my niece in college there, we wanted to find a place with vegetarian and vegan options, and Zambra's did not disappoint. They have a variety of meatless sandwiches, salads, AND any burger on the menu can easily be swapped with a vegan patty. My niece got the Spanish Burger, she was so happy, and ate every bite. Hubs got the all beef Cowboy Burger, and said the sauce was delicious, and the burger was hearty. I got the Loaded Mediterranean Sandwich, over flowing with fresh grilled zucchini, spring greens, as well as other sandwich topping vegetables. It was so good, I'm a huge fan of zucchini, also I could only eat 1/2 and waiting until I could eat more was agony lol! I also had Hibiscus tea hibiscus it was different than other hibiscus teas I've had when I'm out, but it was good. They are in a very small location, only 3 tables, but are in the process of finish up construction on their new location, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Zambra's is now on our list of MUSTS while visiting the North Padre Island area, it's current and upcoming new location are close enough to the A&M CC campus, as well as a 15 minute drive from Park22 and 361, so if you're there for the beach, it's definitely a good option, especially if you have people in your group with different dietary preferences and needs. The prices were good, and the quality was excellent. Keep in mind, they are a small family run establishment, and it's a first come first serve, until it's gone system. Peruse the menu and select a couple of different options so you can remain flexible, especially when it comes to their gourmet hand crafted coffees and teas. I got the Funky Falafel pizza which doesn't have falafel in it, but still yummy with garbanzo beans, onions and other veggies with a pita. I would rename that item to Funky Garbanzo maybe? Found Zambra while in town for a couple days by doing a Google search for vegan restaurants. Placed a to go order and told the young man how far away I was and he said that he would wait to start the order so that it was fresh when I got there. Timing was perfect. He had everything ready to go when I arrived. #MIN was pretty extensive and made me want to come back. Excellent customer service food was amazing and there were so many things I still want to try. Great summertime salads, homemade personal pizza with several options, all the way to loaded fries. I had the cashew chicken pineapple salad panini. The bread was warm, but no grill marks like a traditional panini press. The bread was mildly sweet and fresh and rang my bell so i didnt miss the grilled bread flavor. The sandwich was stuffed with plenty of creamy mayo chicken salad with chunks of pina and cashews. The spring mixed salad had a mild barely-there dressing, and one human hair. My wife had the savory-sweet carribbean powerbowl with mango and squash. It was missing ingredients: black beans, the wheatgrass hummus and carrots. I wish they told us about the lacking ingredients. We brought it to their attention and the staff responded with a flippant tone. The Waiter was attentive and courteous, like an older brother who saw his younger sib fall off a bike. Parking is shared among the businesses in this shopping plaza, not too far from the stripper pole fitness place and a donut shop. Very interesting place. It is not fine dining but if you want something light and healthy in this summer time then come by and grab something tasty. I was totally appalled at the service or lack thereof on this day. I placed an orde by phone and was told 15 or 20 minutes. When I got there the order was ready and I was told it would be another 15 minutes. I decided to get a refund when the young girl told me to speak to her mom. The owner spoke to me from the kitchen and pointed out to me she had a whole table that she was serving. If that was the case the order by phone should not have been accepted. Does my picture resemble a falafel? I was so excited to have a restaurant nearby that offered healthy options. So, tonight we tried it for dinner. Unfortunately I will not be back. Here is why... My mom ordered the falafel pita. As you can see from the picture, that is not what was brought to us. When we said we were disappointed with what we were given, the owner came out and proceeded to tell me they have never had a fryer in 6 years and that's why she calls it a "funky falafel". She was extremely defensive, condescending and argumentative. She didn't really let me speak and offered to get me something else, but at that point I wasn't interested. I found this place by searching for an avocado salad on yelp. I really enjoyed the food. It was very fresh and refreshing, expertly prepared with love (I could taste it)! I had the Spanish chicken salad and the trio pasta salad. "Oh, la, la" was it fresh and delicious? Yes, very much so!! The trio was three salads in one. One was a pasta, a tuna and the other one I so enjoyed but never had before. It was kinda like potato but with pineapple, so light and refreshing. The Spanish chicken salad had Fresh spinach and about four other greens including Romain. Cucumber, Red onion, tomatoes, guacamole CoBonzo beans, cheese, homemade dressing and warm grilled chicken.
