Pleasantly surprised at how tasty Zander's pizza is! I've been wanting to eat here forever, but have only made my way to Dickson on Sundays when it's closed. I finally got the chance to come on Saturday and I'm gonna have to come by on Saturdays more often. I went with the chicken bacon ranch personal pizza and it was the perfect size for barely $10. The hostesses were very nice and friendly as well and made sure to get everything out quickly. Way too excited to come back soon! read more

Second time here. Pizza is excellent. Salads are not. Tried house salad first time with homemade blue cheese dressing - yuck. Super watery. So we tried Caesar salads second time. Not good either. What a nice little spot in the middle what seems to be an interesting block of food and shopping. I came kind of late, so many of the shops were closed around. I had the Breadsticks Marie and a personal Hawaiian Pizza. The Breadsticks were not quite what I was expecting, it was essentially a plate of sauce with some goat cheese crumbles on top, where I thought it would be more cheese and less sauce. Overall, not a fan, but that's just a personal preference. The pizza came out and was a large portion for a personal, but it was excellent. Zander's in Dickson is an absolute gem!!! Walking in you are greeted with the most wonderful smell (seriously Bath & Body needs to figure out how to get that scent into a Wallflower!). They have a large selection of hard ciders and my husband started with a Diskin Cider "Bourbon Tart Cherry"...he said it's his favorite hard cider he has had (he actually looked for it to purchase for home later in the day). For our appetizer we had the cheese sticks. Very tasty!!! We decided to each order a personal size pizza and share. They have so many great options on the menu, it makes decisions so difficult!!! My husband ordered the Charlotte with no olives and added BBQ Chicken and banana peppers. It is AMAZING!!! The fire roasted tomatoes is the star of the show...I could just eat a bowl of them! I ordered the White Bluff and added chicken and mushrooms. Upon recommendation of our waitress I had the arugula and spinach baked in rather than topped after baking. It was very tasty. Make sure you ask for a side of Ranch to dip!!! Best ranch I have had (and I am super picky with ranch dressing!)!!! It was so fresh and such a great dill flavor. Traveling near Dickson, (just west of Nashville) we needed a late night dinner before stopping for the night. With few openings, we had few choices, but Zanders sounded good. We ordered a Large Vanleer and a Zander Calzone. They wouldnt deliver 3-4 miles away ,so had to drive to pick it up. Pizza was covered with goodies but hard and overcooked. Calzone was also good but nothing special. Keeping it simple - if you get to Dickson too late and need a bite, try it. The calzones are delicious as well. The ONLY thing I knock a star for and it's not even a full star, I give them more of a 4.5* is the ice cream. Wow! I am back home In California and am craving Zanders Woodfired Pizza!! This is the best pizza we have ever had! We ate there two days in a row it was so delicious! We tried the Hawaiian, pepperoni and all meat pizza, cheese sticks, salad, and ice cream! Oh wait, the ice cream - made fresh and so creamy! We will be back just to eat Zanders! Most excellent pizza. So tonight I checked out a locally owned brick oven pizza joint that features locally source food and beers on tap along with housemade ice cream. I sat at the bar which is where all the magic happens. So I was able to watch my pizza being made from start to finish. I ordered The White Bluff pizza a white pizza with ricotta cheese & olive oil finished with fresh arugula & baby spinach. I must say this was one great pizza. I loved the crust, handtossed crispy with a nice smokey note from the brickoven. I adore arugula. So I wish there was more arugula but I have no doubt that if I requested more they would have gladly provided more. This was a great experience. I only wish I had more room so I could have tried the ice cream. I can totally see why the locals love this place. read more

I also had the house salad with the homemade ranch dressing that was just delicious. The Wood fired oven with the dough stretched thin with just the right amount of yummy toppings makes this the best pizza I have eaten in a long time. Team pizza. I'm originally from Chicago, so of course I love me some pizza. Back when they opened, we heard it was a good spot to try. Of course we went shortly after and have been multiple times since then. Love the location, it's in downtown Dickson and it's such a quaint spot. The ambiance of the space is great. Love the exposed brick and the open kitchen. You can watch them make your pizza and slide it into the forno/Woodfired oven. Since they make the pizza right then and there you can taste the freshness of all the ingredients. Various options to chose from. We've always gotten the Dickson and enjoy it. Side salad is a decent size. Was really good and fresh as well. You get to pick whatever you want on it. Thumbs up there. They also have homemade ice cream and other dessert. The ice cream is great.
