I went there thinking the place is cheap because they have advertisement for 0.3 per one bbq. But the hot pot itself was $18 and just eating the bbq would not get you full stomach. When you open the menu everything extra is around $11 $12 dollars. One of the beef said $0 on the menu but it would actually $10.99, they told me they put the price on the title. Just myself one person I paid forty something close to $47 $48 for the food and plus the tips was around $60. TOO EXPENSIVE DO NOT COME HERE.

Cute place away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Flushing. It's a twist from traditional hotpot where you can pick skewers to cook in the pot. Each one is only 30 cents! Granted they are fairly small with just a bite of meat, but perfect if you want to sample different things. The interior is also super adorable and fun. Highly recommend!

I walked into this establishment with confusion. A big part of it was because they didn't speak English and I had to figure out what I was doing. This is a different hot pot experience than I expected. They had skewers you could pick out in the fridge that you could just dump into your boiling pot and then they had items on the menu that they cook/grill for you in the kitchen that you order through the waiter/waitress. They also had some raw items you had to order through the kitchen. Everything was flavorful and spiccccay. They had a sauce station in the corner of the room. I had low expectations for their milk tea but I needed to chug it because of the spicy food but honestly it was not bad. I was pleasantly surprised. It was kind of pricey for a two person hotpot and definitely a lot more than what I would have paid at a regular hotpot spot but nonetheless I will be back!

This location is convenient if you drive and don't want to go to downtown flushing. The service was just okay, lacking at time. The food is okay, nothing above average. The place is nicely decorated but the seats they picked are just benches.

We came here on one cold windy day. The have various choices for the soup. You can choose the skewers ($0.3 each skewer) in the fridge or the side dishes (order separately). There are no english words for the skewers. The waiters are attentive although they speak little english. We love that they have small side table to put the tea, tissue, waste bin etc. Each table fit max 4 people. There is a basket /laundry hamper under the table where you can put your jacket inside, we think that is a genius idea. Taste is good, expected for these kind of food. It would be great if they have english translation so we don't have to guess what kind of meat. We spent $100 for two. All in all , a good choice for cold weather and hang out with friends!

Ever heard of a skewer place that sells 30 cents for a piece of meat!? Such a chill place with yummy, eat-as-you-go location with great and attentive waiters. Great place to come if you feel like eating something spicy and can't decide on what to eat specifically. Definitely recommend Word of advice for any place where you eat spicy food, do NOT wear white

I've walked past this place many times and finally tried it last Saturday night. We got there around 6:15pm and were seated immediately. 2 adults and 1 kid. For the broth, we ordered half pork bone soup and half spicy soup $16.99. The pork bone soup could have had more flavor. Each skewer is $0.30, and other plates ranging from $3.99 to $10.99 depending on the color code. It was such a fun experience for my daughter to pick her own skewers from the fridge, cook it and eat it. One of my only issue is that the sauce station is small at $2.99 per person and doesn't have much choice. But that won't stop me from coming back next time! Overall, definitely recommend this place!

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

All the other dishes were also fantastic. Portions are also great, we ended up taking lots home. They gave us free dessert jellies which is also a classic Sichuan dessert; they also had a deal where you get free drinks if you order a certain amount of food, so we got two free drinks. I would have given a five star if not for the super long wait. Granted we did go for Christmas Day dinner. We saw them having to turn away lots of customers. They are super popular. Main issue is there isn't a number system, so getting a table felt a bit random; we considered ourselves lucky. Our servers were very friendly and nice. They told us it would be a bit of a wait, but this was the longest I've ever waited for food: 45 min before the first dish was served. We ordered 5 dishes with rice (forgot to take pictures of two of them). I wasn't told one of the dishes I ordered wasn't available until 30 min after I placed my order. But when the food did come, they all can't together so we didn't have to keep waiting. The servers were also attentive after despite how busy and clearly overwhelmed they were, which was really nice. In conclusion, great food with good portions for spice lovers. Very nice servers and try not to go on Christmas Day since it can get really busy.

The Beef Tenderloin in Brown Sauce is to die for. I loved the Minted Salted Egg Yolk and Sliced Pumpkin so much that I will come back here to order it for Thanksgiving dinner. We also feasted on the Sautéed Shredded Beef with Spicy Pepper, Cumin Lamb, Sliced Potatoes with Truffles and Salt and Pepper Shrimp. The pickled salad certainly tickled my fancy.
