So angry that I'm now writing a review on this store. I'm like not even surprised that I experience the same disrespect every time I walk in there. If I could give this store zero stars, I would. The level of disrespect from some of the staff at this Ala Moana Zara location is genuinely....UN...BELIEVABLE From the second you walk in, it feels like asking for basic assistance was an unbearable burden to almost every single employee on the floor. Tone speaks louder than words, and every interaction was dripping with unnecessary sarcasm, severe attitudes. Trying to check an item size or ask a quick question at the fitting rooms? Be met with blatant eye-rolls, heavy sighs, and passive-aggressive comments! There is a huge difference between being busy and being outright rude! Some staff have ZERO basic respect or courtesy for the people shopping here. It's a shame because the location is great, but the hostile, miserable attitude of the staff COMPLETELY ruins the experience. Management desperately needs to step in and address their teams on fundamental customer service OR at the very least....BASIC HUMAN DECENCY. Came and spend $$$. When I went to wash all my clothes I noticed the jeans I purchased had a huge hole along the waist. I then went to try and find a phone number for this location. All 3 phone numbers were disconnected and did not work. I finally found a general number and it said go online and hung up on me. Horrible service from Zara. I was hoping to call the ala Moana location to see if they had any more and if they could set it aside. But nope. I'm very disappointed. Many of the outfits and looks are inspired by designer labels but without the designer price tags. Zara carries clothing for Men, Women and Children. Other stores offer Zara Home merchandise. They have free shipping to your home if you prefer not to carry it with you, return policy is pretty fair. Trends come by quickly as fashion constantly changes by the season and by eras. Every time I come to this Zhara location, I got severe sick after! AC is so freaking cold! When I came there first time in April, I had one week of high fever, running nose, and cough. I thought OK it can happen and I just came from another climate. But when I came there this week, I got sick again it's ridiculous! It's not possible to be so cold. I just spent about 15 minutes and I got called again. Guys please can you do some it's the most cold shop in Honolulu ever!! It's not a joke it's serious. I have bronchitis again. Not shocked that they have a 2.5 star average. I just read a recent review saying that management here should address the lack of customer service here.. agree 10000%. I love the selection here and always try on before buying but sometimes the people especially in the fitting room are so incredibly rude that I don't even want the interaction. Also keep in mind that they have a new email receipt policy or whatever. They email a receipt to you.. so if an item wasn't scanned, the alarms will go off. Love this for anti theft. However, an employee MISSED scanning one of my items but still bagged it. I had my young kids with me at the time, plus it's not MY job to make sure the checkout is done properly..... anyways the alarms went off, and when they pulled up my receipt there was one unscanned item in there. Two of the three employees that stopped me to check looked me up and down and said in the most condescending tone "well... you didn't buy this one" of course I still wanted it so I had to go back to the register. I come in and look every so often, but I hardly buy from here. You can rarely get help as I hardly any salesperson on the floor. They sell mostly clothes, but also shoes and bags. The women's section is on the second level. If you walk in the store you'll see escalators going up to the third level. That's where they have the men's and kid's sections. Their clothes are stylish, but I feel most people in Hawaii don't dress like that, unless they're going to some kind of event. I'm mostly a jeans and T-shirt kind of person. read more

Still trying to give Zara a try... Located right beside Nordstrom in Ala Moana Center this two level clothing store is quite huge the ground is all women and the men and children on the second level is quite impressive with a good selection of clothing that I've been meaning to check out on a regular basis and as much as majority are lovely there's always something that doesn't interest me...the long lines. There may be a few items I'm interested in and give them a try only to be discourage to have long lines...really long Ines with other staff I'm not sure if they're there do assist or just do this on purpose. The staff isn't the friendliest, greet, or just welcome you whatsoever and the great priced is somewhat there though when you need to make an effort versus vice versa there is something not right with the system here that doesn't make it a great shopping deal for me. read more

So glad that this European store made it to Honolulu! The store is nice and big. Very spacious with the clothes lined up against the walls! I like that the c!others are spread out and not all squished together in racks! They have stylish and reasonably priced apparel for men and women! My daughters have bought many items including tops, skirts, sweaters, dresses and coats! We always try to go to the After Christmas sales! They're fantastic because they're marked down so low!! The lines can be long but worth the wait! If you don't have time to try the clothes on, you can always return it! Nice return policy with receipt! They have handbags and shoes too! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I believe a young man named Edmar is the store manager at this location. Strict store policy's I've never heard of , very long lines and very rude staff . 1. My mom walked into the fitting room with me to help me put my clothes down in the fitting room. she was back there for less than a min before a woman working the fitting room yelled very aggressively at my 68 year old mother " hey you you can't just be back here like there go wait outside" (Mind you in hawaii we address the elderly by saying auntie or uncle) . My mom calmly responds back you can say it in a nicer way next time and instead of apologizing to my mom the woman attempts to argue with my mom to the point where my mom had to walk away from this woman to stop the argument. 2. Once I was done trying on the clothes I hung them all back onto the hangers and take it out to put in on the clothing rack . I look to the same woman working the fitting room and said thank you. I was shocked when she rudely yells at me "hey! You can't just do whatever you want back here you have to hand me the clothes" ( in my mind I was thinking you're lucky I even brought it back out to you) long story short she attempted to argue with me and didn't want to give me her name kept yelling "store policy " so I had to walk away from her as well to stop the argument. 3. When we got back home (we live on another Island), we peeled back the price sticker which said $39.99 with a red dot that said this item was also 60% off the $39.99. What a deal we thought, but under the sticker the original sticker price was $29.99. So Zara raised the price by $10 and then discounted it by 60%. We were deceived by this marketing ploy. I like how spacious this shop is. Easy to walk around, and I often find pieces I like. The only sad thing about store is their checkout counter. Cash register is on but no one is there. After standing in the line for 5-min, someone said "I'll send you downstairs." No "hi" or "sorry for the wait/inconvenience." Then downstairs... a line keeps growing but no help comes. A close friend of mine is having her second baby, and I realized that I didn't have anything for the soon to be "big sister." Ran to Zara this afternoon to pick up a small gift. My mom, sister, and I had a great experience at Zara today because of Matt and Kyrie. They were both so helpful to us in doing stock checks and bringing us the clothes we were looking for. We had a LOT of requests because we had looked online and wanted to try the items on in-store, and they were more than willing to check every single one. While both associates were very kind, Matt really stood out because of how patient and caring he was with my family and I. He made us feel very welcomed in the store and when we came back after eating lunch, he said he was so glad that we did because he was worried that we hadn't gotten everything taken care of when he went on his lunch break. i bought 3 things in 2 different transactions, 1 transaction was upstairs in the mens wear i purchased a sweater then i went down stairs and bought 2 more things. i asked for 1 bag in total so i didnt have to carry so much, the girl at the register offered me a texted receipt or a printed one and i had asked for the texted one. never was texted the receipt and walking out the door the detectors buzzed and i let this rude ass lady check my bags and the person upstairs at the register forgot to decensor the tag from my sweater. the lady asked for a receipt and i looked through my messages only to have no receipts sent still!!! she started giving me dirty looks and at the register the girl said "i only rung her up for the pants and shirt" and i told them i bought the sweater upstairs and they didnt believe and so i was then treated like a thief until the person upstairs came down to confirm i in-fact did buy the sweater. no apologies or anything but dirty looks. read more

Customer service here is terrible. Just wanted to exchange a Christmas gift for my daughter as the size was too small. the cashier was very nice but the manager or supervisor was super rude. Said I could only exchange for the same item which was fine but they only had the same size we had in stock. I asked what can we do then and this guy tells me it's not his problem and walks off. I don't shop here and probably never will with people like that working there. I've lost a couple pounds and all those pairs I recently bought 7 months ago are now falling off my hips! Alright! Just what I've been wanting them to do! Haha! So it's been that way for a few months and my putting off looking for ones that fit better is making it increasingly difficult to walk without having to pull up my pants every few steps even with a belt. Earlier tonight my hairstylist at W Salon Lyn suggested I try finding jeans here. What a relief! :D The entire first floor is for women. This place sells more hip and stylish clothing that perhaps fits juniors to the more curvier woman but not too much on the larger side: Shirts, blouses, long denim jeans and shorts, shoes, accessories, dresses, etc. They have items normally found in clothing stores but the one floor I stayed in kinda sorta reminded me of an H&M yet a little different trend vibe from other stores. It's nice to have different types of stylish clothes available to select from :) The denim pant material sold here have a nice medium to light-weight hand and are stretchy and not stretchy, with horizontal cuts (in the legs) or none, so whether your inseam is long, medium, or short, you will probably find at least one style that you prefer here :) Key is to just try on a size based upon your measurements and adjust up or down from there. If the waist fits, hips hug your curves, knees are in the right place, and the length is not to short or long, you've got a great pair Really helpful customer service. Tell them what you're looking for and they'll ask a couple questions about size (better to give them measurements if you can), cut, and fit, then they'll head off to find what you hoped to find. Follow them around so they can ask you whether what they find is what you envisioned. Roam around looking at the various styles and head to the dressing room left of the cash register counter/bar on the far left side wall. You can take a max of 10 items into the room. They'll ask for the number of garments in your arms, give you an appropriate garment number tag, and direct you to a fitting room. There are thick, stylish black fabric that covers each fitting room that one draws closed shower curtain-style to change in privacy. There's a long bench in each room with just enough space to comfortably change. There is a mirror along one side wall or you can go outside to the front for the larger mirror at the dressing room entrance or ask the clerk for their opinion about fit. If you like the fit, let them know. If you want the fit to be different, let them know. If you want a different size, let them know. In every instance, they will help! After checking their mobile stock check device and they see the item you want is available, they will call another clerk to bring back the size and or style that you want. Everyone was so helpful. The first clerk guy pulled apart the denim jeans displayed on the risers to find the sizes I should try. He even scoured the floor until he found the item he couldn't find initially. I liked the jeans styles that fell more at the hip rather than ones that start at the waist (called high-waisted). I also have a petite inseam so the denim jeans I found were more well-suited to my hips and inseam. At the moment, their shorts are on trend decorated with pearl, embroidery, and large rhinestone embellishments cut high at the waist. That style is not exactly great for my body petite shape at the size I'd need to get. For the blouses and dresses - Think I'd be interested in the styles if I had been in the market tonight. I saw classic and trendy with inspirations of country and definite metro without being being too overboard. Interesting pleasant style touches :) The cashier counter people were also pleasant and quick to help. The girl I went to initially got busy and another one who just arrived asked to take over. I was out of there in 30 minutes! I ended up with two pairs of stretch jeans in black and another in dark blue. For the price ($29.95), quality, satisfying hugging fit, and look at the butt (it's not so loose now!), I believe I got a really great deal. They've got a sale going now at a few $12.99 sale racks at the back in front of the cash register. Success is finding at least a couple jeans that fit! Worth my while to come here and I'm glad I did. Customer service needs major improvement. Workers ignore you and when you ask for help they aren't friendly. I've encountered two or three very nice workers, but the majority aren't. Not sure if this is how they train their staff to be. Fitting rooms still aren't open and if you try on clothes out on the floor, there is a "no over-the-head" policy. Meaning, you can't try on any tops or shirts. But... you can buy the item, try it on next door, and take it back if it doesn't fit... Why not just open up the fitting rooms and take the proper cleaning and COVID-19 precautions like every other store in the mall? That would be too much effort for them I think. read more

Rude staff. No help. No greeting. No social distancing. People rude and b*tches in line not social distancing asking "can you give me space?" When they're clearly not from the same household gathered together in a group talking in the line as I was on my cell phone minding my own business. I gave them the space, she was like "Sorry" but whatever I said it's okay. I wish they would enforce the social distancing in the store but the people that work there don't care enough to do anything about it. The Zara's line for the registers never had any social distancing throughout the pandemic, everyone lines up like pre-pandemic lines close together especially when it's busy with sales as it can get long because they only have one register line. Then this b*tch asks me for space for her selfish self cause she's "so special" *rolling my eyes*. Girl, have fun going to crowds especially in airports, concerts and theme/amusement parks where there's no social distancing, you'll be side by side with vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Zara is not my style but I come here occasionally with my family to go shopping. The store is disorganized, can't tell the difference from employees and customers. This elderly lady thought I worked there, I do not. No one to check on your shopping, if you need any help with sizes or different styles. The organization is messy. No help, no friendly greeting like "hello, welcome, how can I help you?". The fitting rooms are still closed, so you have to buy the clothes to try at home then choose to keep or return them. Have your receipt because apparently this Zara has a horrible return policy compared to Macy's and other stores with better policies and customers service. The employees clearly have no customer service training, thinking that treating their customers rudely that they will return but they are losing more customers by the day. Zara post-COVID is definitely a downgrade from similar stores like Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and H&M. Although, I'm more of a Macy's, Old Navy, Ross and Target person. Forever 21 style is beyond my age group. I wouldn't recommend going to this store. Just order online, get it delivered to your home if you really want something from Zara. Go to somewhere where you'll get good customer service like Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom and any other department/brand name store. read more

There's been a long line upstairs for the last 30 minute, so why not have that cashier where it's busy? I bought a bunch of clothes online the first time and they all fit. Then when they had their end of summer sale I bought a bunch on sale and thought I was saving so much. Unfortunately when the clothes came in almost none fit. They sizes were either too big or too small which I found was crazy since I bought clothes from them before. Sizes I feel should be standard but I know they change by fashion house. I tried to return them once but I guess you need a QR code that is attached to the email once they ship it to you. However when I got to the store we could only see the the clothes I purchased and the track your shipment label. The employee tried to help me as well as the manager. They gave me the number to the customer care on the mainland. Long story short I had t press track my package on that email and then it would have popped up. Didn't have to call any customer care and took my clothes down. Fortunately same salesperson helped me. Super kind super patient because I returned 11 items.
