This place was not the best. the service was lacking and slow, even though there were not many people seated. happy hour prices are okay, but the selection is very limited. quality of the food was honestly pretty bad...the chicken seemed not fresh, and the fries were very bland. they also do not give tap water and will charge for water bottles, even if you ask for tap water. bathroom could also use some cleaning. overall, this place could really improve in all aspects, and i probably will not be back to visit.

This is a lowkey go to spot in deep ellum. They have a good happy hour and strong drinks. Their hookah is $15 for happy hour which is cool. The staff is attentive and even changed the tv to show the mavs game.

. Zåtar is a beautiful spot in the heart of downtown Dallas with excellent food and a great atmosphere. However, the hookah lounge falls short of expectations. The equipment feels outdated, the flavors are weak, and the service in the lounge is slow--you often have to flag someone down for assistance. I'd definitely recommend coming here for the food, but would skip the hookah experience.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this spot. The decorations were nice and the music was definitely an R&B/Hiphop vibe. The customer service was really good. Our server and the hookah guy stopped by frequently to check on us and make sure we were good. I got the lavender lemon drop martini which was super delicious and my guys margarita was good too. The hookah flavor watermelon, peach, mint was good. The only downside of this place is that it gets really cold in the hookah side of the restaurant. The windows are not insulated and you could definitely feel it. The hookah sat between us did supply a little warmth though. I'd definitely go back. Edit: The management let me know that the cold weather hit them by surprise and since have set up space heaters to make sure guests are comfortable. This is awesome!

We were looking for a hookah spot and we ended up having the best meal ever. We were greeted by Chico who came up and told us we could seat anywhere. Of course, due to the weather, we sat next to open windows. Chico was extremely attentive. We ordered our hookah as well as our apps. The Spicy Hummas was the best we have ever had. I mentioned to Chico I wish the Pita was warmer and within 2 minutes he had the warmest, softest pita on the table. We also had tabbouleh which was so fresh and the parsley was not at all overpowering, the perfect balance. Ryan, our server came over and we had the best conversation. He gave us great recommendations on how to continue the night. My girlfriend wanted what she had order on uber eats before, and Chico mentioned that dish was only available to-go. But he made an exception... not only was the presentation stunning, but she said she would never order it on uber eats again. IT WAS THAT GREAT. Thank you Zatar, Chico, and Ryan. What a great night!

Love the staff here. Always a nice and relaxed vibe. The hookah HITS and is very affordable! The food is just ok, but it's good for small bites. The fries are bomb and most of the appetizers! Lavender lemon drop is my absolute favorite drink, so refreshing and delicious! Follow me for more! @MissMo2323

I was visiting Dallas, as I waited for my friend I decided to wait at Zåtar. The host was super welcoming and stored my luggage once I walked in. I arrived at 7pm, it was pretty calm not many people. I order mojitos, hookah and chicken wrap. Let me tell you, these mojitos were made to perfection! Perfect balance of each ingredient! I saw a few plates and completely regretted getting a chicken wrap lol but it was tasty! Staff were constantly checking in, which I appreciated! The music was such a vibe both days. Loved this place so much ended up coming back for hookah and drinks the next day.

What a hidden gym. I've lived in Dallas in entire life and was always curious about this place. I attended a Sunday afternoon with friends. The place is separated; one side hookah lounge/ the other side restaurant. We opted for the hookah lounge. I can't comment on hookah experience bc I did not partake. However the food and cocktails were delish. I had the Lebanese mixed grill with chicken and beef kabob. The tabouli was great and good overall was seasoned nicely. The service was subpar and the hummus lacked flavor. I'll be back to taste more menu items. The lavender lemon drop was also tasty

I'm so disappointed... the menu looked amazing! We had reservations, which once we arrived it was empty on the inside. The patio was packed. We were greeted and seated immediately. Then we sat........................ This is the biggest disappointment on service! We had earlier plans and we're starving. We waited.............. and waited....... Then walked out! I cannot understand why on earth restaurants do this? It's amazing to me that this even happens, especially in Deep Ellum we can walk to the next destination. Today businesses can't afford to lose customers. I won't give this place a second chance. Really wish they would have at least got us drinks. That would have made us stay about 15 mins past what we should have.

It's, well, umm, very average. It is a tourist area. The Sambousek was ok. Tabbouli was ok. Labneh was ok. Hummus was ok Chicken shawarma was ok. Fried cauliflower was ok. It was all ok.

Really nice spot to get hookah, listen to good music and have chill vibes! I didn't get any food here but it smelled really good and they have a full bar!! They was not crowded at all and the people were very attentive! And they had reallllly good hookah with free refills!!

Lamb hummus and fattoush salad. Amazing!

I always come here for a nice drink and some good hookah. But the food is pretty amazing as well. Who knew that a Mediterranean place would have such great wings and salmon?!! They also have really good lamb hummus. Servers are always nice and attentive as well.

The food was great. The service was also great. The hookah was an extra for the night. We had a great time there.

We came here with a party of eight to celebrate a birthday, so we were hoping for a memorable experience. Instead, it ended up being a disappointment. The food was just okay. The menu felt very basic--more like the chicken nuggets and burgers of Mediterranean cuisine--when I was expecting something with the authenticity and quality of places like Darna. The service was where things really went downhill. Despite the restaurant not being busy, our table was barely attended to. My party and I repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to ask for missing items, order additional drinks, or request things that should have been brought to the table in the first place. To make matters worse, we were charged for an extra bottle that we never ordered and never received. Keeping the table clean was also a struggle. We asked multiple times for empty plates and glasses to be cleared away, and it wasn't done until after the fourth request. The only highlights of the experience were the ambiance and the drinks, both of which were enjoyable. Unfortunately, they weren't enough to make up for the disappointing food and poor service. It was frustrating to have such a poor experience during a birthday celebration, especially when we chose this restaurant expecting a great meal and attentive service. I was hoping for a much better dining experience and left feeling let down.

Take a seat, I've got a story to tell: I have no idea how this place isn't already swarming with people wearing vintage Cowboys jerseys and arguing about brisket. It's like someone said, "What if we made a chill, good-looking sports bar with great food, live music, and a tequila dungeon rave in the back?" and then actually did it. Let's start with location: It's in the Design District, nestled between a UPS store and some bougie eateries that serve things like "deconstructed nachos" This place? No pretense. Just vibes. The front is a cool, unassuming sports bar with TVs, a solid beer selection, and food that's actually better than it needs to be. I'm not saying the burger cured my seasonal depression, but I did smile with my whole face after the first bite. But wait..there's a twist. Go toward the back and you'll stumble upon a themed bar/speakeasy that opens on weekends only. Think tequila meets house music meets, "how is this even legal?" It's like Narnia, if Narnia served mezcal shots and played Diplo remixes. Pro tips: * Taco Tuesdays: Dollar tacos that don't taste like regret. * Thursday combo: Burger, fries, and a beer for $10. Alexander Hamilton would be proud. * Staff is actually attentive and friendly, no one here is mad that you exist. There's a gentleman that is deaf, be nice, he's super cool! The only con? The parking situation is more stressful than a group project in college. Street parking is your best bet, but if you have to use the lot, prepare to reenact a 37-point turn while strangers silently judge you. If you're looking for a place where you can watch the game, make a new bar friend, and maybe end the night dancing in a surprise tequila lounge, this is your spot. Just don't tell too many people.
