Went in here last night for dinner, dinning room was destroyed almost every table needed cleaned, trash was all over the floor, the soda machine wasn't working, we chose 6 to 8 different sodas non of them available. Told the workers about soda machine they filled our sodas in the back, but did nothing about machine out front. With 6-8 people working you would think someone could clean the dinning room, and could get soda machine working. read more

Zaxby's is your typical chicken restaurant. On the menu is Chicken, grilled, fried, in fingers, wings, sandwiches, and salads. Sides are crinkle fries, cole slaw, and Texas toast. Also on the menu are fried mushrooms and fried cheese curds. Dessert options aren't great but the cookies are good, if a bit small. Drinks are tea and Coke Freestyle. Their sauce menu is not expansive but pretty nice. There is something for everyone. The inside of the restaurant was spotless and nicely decorated. They had a line at the window so I was glad I ordered online. I was greeted by a friendly man who checked for my order. It wasn't ready yet but I was about 7 minutes early so I browsed my drink options while I waited. If you haven't gotten the pleasure to use a freestyle machine you are missing out. There are so many options and if you have the freestyle app, you can make your own custom mix. Tonight I decided to try a Zaxby's exclusive: a lite Cherry Grape Blaster. It's a Ghostbuster promo. It's actually really tasty. I wish they would keep it. When my name was called, I was encouraged to go through my order, right there, and be sure everything was correct. It was and I was thanked and wished a good night. We got the Cobb Zalad, Traditional Wings and Things, an extra buffaloed finger, and a cup of slaw. The Zalad was nice and crisp, the chicken was hot and it had a nice balance of toppings to greens. It was very good. The Traditional Wings and Things come with five buffaloed wings, three chicken fingers, crinkle fries, Texas Toast, and a drink. My wings were coated in Sweet & Spicy sauce. I opted to get the fingers in sauce, as well, but I got them in teriyaki. Ranch comes with it but you can swap out for any dip you like. Let me be honest with you. Zaxby's has the BEST wings in the area. They are cooked to perfection and tossed in your choice of sauce. You get that nice bite that most wings around here are missing. My food was delicious. The only thing keeping this from being a five star review was that my extra chicken finger was not just cool but ICE cold. I had to wait on this order to be finished but had to microwave that finger and I live less than five minutes away. Literally everything else but the slaw, my drink, and the salad greens, and that lone chicken finger were piping hot. No clue what happened there. It's a first for me. I do recommend this place, despite the issue with the chicken finger. It's not common for them. The food is good and, the staff is friendly. read more

Nothing spectacular about this place except the the decor. Staff was subpar. Unfriendly. Too busy gossiping in the back. Food was okay. I appreciated that it was all hot, but the only thing I liked was the grilled chicken sandwich. They were stingy with the fries and did not fill the box. The signature chicken sandwich was just okay. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Fries were crinkle cut and a generous portion. Definitely would order this again. The food I would give 5 stars for a fast food chicken sandwich! 2 stars goes to the store itself..WOW...what a train wreck! Staff was very unpleasant and noone wanted to be there clearly (fair warning they will let you know you're bothering them). One guy stood for 5 min while staff stood chatting and didn't help him so he left. Not one staff member wore a mask. 2 cooks were eating food AS they were making customers food (gross). Several dirty tables (and we were the only customers there). No napkins, lids thrown around table and overall appearance was thilthy. I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like if the front looks this bad or what the crew does to the food while making it. The overall visit left us agreeing it was the dirtiest restaurant we have been in. Emailed corporate and dist manager called to address issues. Appreciated this and his communication on the issues. Hope they improve...not sure how it can get worse. I know we will never exit here again. read more

Zaxbys - Fried chicken sandwich - Fast Food Near Me - Clanton, Alabama

Wish I could give this place no Stars. Been living in clanton for 2 years and have ate here 4 times and every time was awful. Food is over cooked and taste like with cooked in old Grease. Staff is rude and acts like they have no Brain cells. I advice anyone who is stopping off this exit to avoid this Zaxby's. Food will make you sick or the staff will. This place need all new management and staff and ones that actually work and provide for the paying customers read more

A woman who was working there said I couldn't have mayonnaise on my chicken sandwich when I ordered just chicken and tomatoes with mayonnaise and she was overall rude. She interrupted me while I was ordering and when we got up to the window she was showing her butt like literally she turned around to pull her pants up and showed me and my 12 year old aunt that it was gross and inappropriate. The food was good but the customer service was unacceptable. read more

I stopped at this Zaxby's location on my way home from vacation & the food tasted great and was quick to be prepared. However, the cashier, Keely, was very rude & unprofessional. She rolled her eyes over & over & when she forgot my order of fries, she refused to help me & walked away rolling her eyes. While I got help from another worker, she continued to stare at me with a very unfriendly look. The other workers were very friendly however due to the cashier, it was an unpleasant experience. read more

This was the worst Zaxby's I've ever been to. Restaurant is filthy. I ordered the buffalo blue salad and it was missing most of the ingredients. I had to ask for the blue cheese crumbles and fried onions, but was also missing the cabbage and carrots. They soaked it in buffalo sauce and the lettuce was old and wilted. I ate at this Zaxbys a little over a year ago while staying in town. Food was fine while I was there, but I was vomiting throughout the night, as was my uncle. I never get sick let alone vomit my food up-- and then I read another review that said that this was common there to get food poisoning. Needless to say we haven't been back. read more

The good thing about this Zaxby's is the chicken was very good and so was the Texas toast. The bad things were it was very slow, and the fries were not seasoned, they also gave you a small amount of cheese bites. Another great thing was all the food was hot and the tea and other drinks tasted really good. Overall it was fine but they also had a one stall bathroom and a lot of business. read more

My boyfriend is working an outage and is staying in Clanton just down from this Zaxby's. He pulled into this Zaxby's before going to his hotel for a quick dinner after driving non stop all day. Within a matter of an hour he was hospitalized for severe food poisoning related to under cooked chicken. When he went over where he had eaten, the only place was this Zaxby's all day, the local hospital staff was like "yeah you stay away from that one." When he finally got back to his hotel a day later the staff asked about his condition, and after telling them he got food poisoning from the Zaxby's down the road, they also stated that they heard several people getting sick from there. It's bad enough someone had to be hospitalized over a matter of error, but to do it enough that the place has a reputation with the locals is astonishing. read more

I am a regular visitor to Zaxby's. At least twice a month. If they want to continue receiving my business they need to heat up their wings before serving them. They weren't even close to being warm. Ever eat a cold chicken wing? It's like eating an ice cube with sauce on it. read more
