I have been to this location many times over the years. The precious Manager Thomas was awesome. I went in today and ordered their chicken wrap combo. There were only two other tables with customers. It was freezing in there. I walked up to the counter and asked if they could turn the fans off since it was unbearably cold. The gentleman said if could do that and turned around and did not. I had on a jacket. After 10 minutes I went back and asked again which at that time he did. When my food came there were no fries in my box. The combo includes fries and drink. I had to go back to my table to get my receipt to show I did pay for the combo. I felt uncomfortable at that point because I was getting weird looks from the two guys in the kitchen. When I asked if Thomas was still there I was asked why did I want to know. I did find out they have new owners and Thomas left. The food was good but service not so much. read more

Exterior Parking lot is fine, but be careful exiting - lots of cars coming and going because they sit right at the entrance of Walmart parking lot. Leaving to get back on Dallas Hwy can be a bit challenging if you're turning left because there's no traffic light at that intersection. There might be one further down, unsure. Interior I didn't go inside, but I noticed they scored 100 (A) on their last health inspection score. Customer Service I really REALLY should have checked the reviews. Then I would have been forewarned about how slow they are at drive thru. I know Zaxby's used to be really hard-nosed about returning food if you're not satisfied and you've already taken possession of the bag (lol), so before they handed me my bag, I asked if they could check to make sure the fries were hot. The young lady at the window asked the manager (at least I presume it was the manager) if she could let me check the food. Keep in mind, I'd already paid on the app. The manager then switches places with the other employee, takes the bag, then proceeds to give me a mini lecture about how if I want hot fries, I really should place my order in the store instead of using the app, because my food might get cold while I'm en route. I explained that I placed my order from the parking lot, then immediately pulled up to the drive thru. She then said, I should always just come inside, because they can't control drive-thru times. Really? You can't? You mean you don't operate like every other fast-food company in the world and have people pull up and park if their order is taking a long time? I didn't ask this, but I did think it. And how about once I read the reviews later that night I realized that they, are in fact, NOT moving cars through and parking them if the orders are big or time-consuming. About 90% of the bad reviews here are complaints about the long wiat times. Price / Value Not a great value. I don't think they're weighing the amount of chicken they put on the loaded fries, because there was barely any chicken on them at all. Other When they handed me the bag, the TOP of my styrofoam container was wet. REALLY wet. There was a napkin covering part of the container and it was wet too. When I commented on it, the manager started explaining physics of condensation. I'm not even kidding. I completely understand condensation / moisture forming inside the container and making the food soggy. I've never heard of condensation forming on the OUTSIDE of a styrofoam container. That can happen on glass (like a cold Coke bottle being placed in a hot room), but styrofoam - NO. I didn't argue with her because it was clear that this manager has an answer for everything. Overall I probably won't return. The food was not well-prepared and I found the manager a bit abrasive and off-putting. My only catering experience recently did not go smoothly and added some additional stress to my small event. I placed an online order today as the drive-through was extremely long. Told me my order would be ready in 11 minutes, which put me at about 1241. I pulled up to the drive-through. Let them know. I was doing a mobile pick up told them my name waited till I got to the window. They told me it wasn't ready even though it was my pick up time it was 1242. They pulled me up. I waited 15 more minutes as I watched six other cars to get their food behind me. I walk in and ask what the holdup is for them to tell me there's six more orders in front of me that online orders basically get pushed to the back and that my pick up time was 1244 at this point it was already 1 o'clock ended up getting my food at about 105. I visited this location on Aug 14, 2025. My order was correct and delicious. But what made this experience memorable was the interaction with the employee at the window. She was happy to be working, pleasant and efficient but not trying to rush everyone. She asked me to fill out a survey of I wouldn't mind. Her name was Kori. When I scanned the QR code it took me to the Zaxby's app. I do not have nor am I going to download another app onto my phone unless I absolutely have to. Every time we download an app to our device, it takes a little more privacy from us. It is not necessary for me to get the app to tell others that Kori went above and beyond in customer service. It is a shame that Zaxby's decided to tether a fantastic review of this chain based on their employee Kori's terrific attitude, efficient manner, and kind disposition contingent upon agreeing to let their app spy on my phone's data. We decided to eat in the store. The store was not clean, there was trash in the floor and the employee saw the trash and walked right over it, the tables were not clean. I'm wondering how the hell this Zaxby'at this location is still open. This is the worst restaurant for servuce and food. Any given day or anytime you can expect to give of 30 plus minutes of your time waiting in the drive thur or in dining room. After your wait you're luck to get what you ordered correctly. There is ALWAYS a non-moving line wrapped around the building. Also, a waiting line inside. The attached picture is the 2nd salad after driving back to the restaurant and returning the first one due to rotten lettuce greens. I requested the mgr and explained to her I didn't want salad because as she could clearly see the greens was rotten. She never apologized. She only said ' Oh yeah that is bad, do you want another one or your money back? I decided to give them a 2nd chance. She said " I'll make it myself". Well, I really don't feel she remade it. It was to quick. What it appears she did was remove the rotten greens which was on top and added more lettuce. Now as you can see I have a biwl full of lettuce greens and very little chicken. NO MORE BUSINESS FROM ME !!! If you visit the location just off Dallas Hwy near West Cobb Ave shopping plaza you will be in and out in 10mins max. Doesn't matter if your in drive thur or dining room. This location has struggled with help as many places have with Covid but they seem to be getting their act back together. The staff seems friendly and helpful and while sometimes crowded they seem to be doing better than they were a year ago. It's a Zaxby's. If you have never eaten here it is pretty good chicken. They have chicken fingers, wings, and sandwiches. They also have some pretty nice salads. A choice of 8 sauces for the wings, I like the sweet & spicy. 4 dipping sauces, I go with ranch. I think I have had everything on the menu but by go to is the wings and things, a combination of wings and fingers. Comes with fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. I even like the coleslaw here and some places I don't. Good value, kid friendly, and I like the Coca Cola Freestyle machine so I can get orange Vanilla Coke Zero. read more

So, I used to eat Zaxby's quite a bit. I started eating here when it was known as Zax in Statesboro. This is the location closest to my house. The reason that I have not gone here much is the quality of the food. My wife talked me into going again last night. While in the way, I pulled over to place and order using their online app. The app clearly states that you can either pickup the order in the drive-thru line or park in a spot where they will deliver your order to the car. When I arrived, it was quite busy. I had selected to pickup the order in the drive-thru. After waiting for nine cars in front of me, I got to the menu board. This is where my experience took a bad turn. I was informed that they no longer handle online orders in the drive-thru. They informed me that I would have to park and come in. I didn't have a face mask with me as I had not planned on leaving my car. I parked and went inside without a mask. After waiting for two orders in front of me, I asked to speak to the manager. I asked her what the point of online orders were when you have to come in. I then showed her my receipt which clearly detains the pickup procedure. She didn't have an answer. I understand that staff is hard to find but continuing to have young teens and/or adults run your establishment will help run your establishment in the ground. The young lady that gave us the order was such in a rush that she closed the window without providing us with the drinks. CONS: * The food is mediocre at best. The chicken fingers were bland and not very well seasoned. The boneless wings are over-coated with bland breading. The sauce leaves a lot to be desired, packeted or the stuff they toss the wings in. * Beyond being unappealing, the food was greasier than I would expect. * The wait is entirely too long for a 'fast food' establishment. I'm not sure how a drive-through survives here with wait times like we experienced indoors. * The dining area was filthy, as was the restroom (men's). Very unpleasant environment. Overall: For a chain that's supposed to specialize in fast food fried chicken, it is not very fast, nor is the chicken anything to right home about. The crispy coating is a bit unique, but the lack of flavor doesn't make it appealing. There just isn't enough here to make me rush to come back. I'm a bit confused about the location. I went to the one located in Dallas. It sits on a hill adjacent to Walmart. Yep! That one. On with my review. I normally get the house grilled salad or the zensation salad..yes Zensation. Like Z for Zaxby's...ok, ok. Anyway. This time I got a grilled chicken sandwich because I wanted to try the fries. Lord the fries look so tasty on the commercials and the pictures I see on the marquee. The fries were golden brown, but a bit too salty. The weren't hot r warm. Perhaps they cooked them a while before I ordered. I hate that. The sandwich was ok. It was a little soggy. The bread was steaming hot and soggy. Kudos for the chicken not being over salted. Can I be disappointed at fast food? I'm aware of what I walked into or more like I drove to the drive through. Will I buy this again? I probably will not. I'll eat the salads as long as they are nice and fresh. I've never eaten in the dinning area. Therefore, I can't tell you anything about the cleanliness of the restaurant. It may seem as if i eat out a lot, but really I don't. I cook meals a head of time, but not sure if you'd enjoy food reviews. I'm not sure If I can do that on Yelp. Tonight was our 2nd visit to this location. It is so convenient, but both times it seems like the employees have not been trained well. It's blind leading blind. The food was ok.. they didn't give us our drink and the salad was half full. Their salads are more than Chick-fil-A but typically give you more. Tonight that was not the case. For now on we will go to the Zaxby's in Marietta closer to the avenues at west Cobb this location has disappointed me for the last time. This is a very clean place to get a variety of chicken dishes. You order at the counter and wait to have your order called for pickup, but the interior of the place is more like a comfortable sit down resteraunt. I've tried almost everything on the menu including grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken salads, chicken strip meals, and the chicken sliders and have always enjoyed the food. All the drinks are self-serve and I've found their tea to always be fresh. It's decorated with interesting memorabilia on the walls which gives it a very cozy feel. The bathrooms are upscale hardwoods and tile and extremely clean. Tip: The kid's grilled cheese meal is now a full sized sandwich. A while back it was only half a sandwich, so now their kid's meal is a great value. Tip: If their cookies have just come out of the oven... Order them! There is nothing better than hot soft fresh cookies. Tip: The seasoning on the fries is outstanding. However, there is never enough on them. So ask for a side of seasoning and they will give you a plastic container with extra. So much that we take it home and use it when we cook. Tip: As a default, everything comes with their "Zaxby Sauce" (which is like thousand island dressing) as the dipping sauce. Be sure to ask for something else if you don't want that. I usually ask for Honey Mustard instead. Their sliders and sandwiches also come with this dressing, so be sure to ask them not to put it on if you don't want it. Tip: The chicken strip meal is big enough for two people. They will make substitutions if you ask. We always ask for extra fries or extra toast instead of cole slaw. NOTE: Their address is 202 Hillside Overlook (Dallas GA 30157), however most maps and GPS systems put that address several miles off. Even their own website's map shows it way way off. After waiting an hour in the drive through we finally get to the speaker and are told to wait. We waited for ten more minutes by the time we got fed up and left there was no one was even at the drive through window. That's ridiculous. There's literally no excuse. My boys and I were waiting in line to get dinner last night 10-24-2016 at around 9:15-9:30PM when we heard a female yelling and cursing at another female employee. With the way the person was yelling I could only assume it was somebody of authority seeing how she fired her after cursing this other young lady out.... I was Disgusted at how this was handled.... This is supposed to be a family establishment and yet this lady was cursing loud enough for my boys and I to hear.... Myself and another family ended up walking out cause we were all very uncomfortable...I don't curse and I don't appreciate my children having to hear such foul language and witness such disrespect nobody should ever be treated in such a disrespectful manner, and if this is how you treat your employees... There really is nothing like some good southern friend chicken. Occasionally in my vegetarian life I take a break just to take a bite outta some chicken. When I do take breaks it's usually for some Zaxby's. This particular location is stuck out by Hiram next to a Walmart. Not the most glamorous location, but boyyyy does it shine. Always clean and filled with the friendliest staff I see no reason why anyone shouldn't go here. Try the chicken finger plate, a Zaxby salad (zalad), or even a sandwich. Even the little bit of coleslaw they give you is delicious! Zaxby's is a southern thing that's made for everyone. Tip: Mix the Zaxby's sauce with barbeque. You're welcome. read more

Okay so honestly I wasn't going to do a review but after finding a piece of hair in my kiddies meal was the last straw for me. At first what went wrong with my order begin with the sweet tea. It tasted kinda off and I thought it was just my imagination. So I did a few more sips and it tasted like dirty dish water. Then onto my chicken fingers. They overcooked it so much that it was incredibly hard to chew and swallow. On top of that it also had a taste of lemon pepper in it. I felt like everything tasted off except for the Zaxby sauce that comes in a packet. And if that somehow screwed up too I think they should just throw their whole supply of food away and start over. I've been eating here for several years (nearly every weekend Hill Side Dallas GA.) and they have been quite good. They are on my way home from work. But over the last couple of months, they've made numerous mistakes on my drive through orders that I didn't discover until I got home. Someone there is not paying attention. I eat at this location often for a quick, cheap meal. It's one of the more efficient Zaxby's that I've tried, and it's good for fast food. Fried chicken served many ways, even buffaloed. Hey, you're in the South! Try the nibblerz meal or a fried chicken salad with tongue torch or nuclear sauce, you can't go wrong. My breakdown: 4 stars - atmosphere 3 stars - wait staff 4 stars - location 3 stars - food quality 4 stars - food flavor Summary: It's a Zaxby's like all the others (fast food, lots of fried food) but they add lots of flavor to their meals. So a 4 star rating here should be taken in context (a fast food restaurant, not a gourmet restaurant). About me: I'm no foodie, but I've dined in many parts of the world. I come to this location pretty often, but after tonight I will go to another one. Timeline of events 6:56- online order placed- ready in 8 minutes 7:13- called and said I was there, " okay we will be out shortly" 7:20- are you picking up for ( another name)- no I am picking up for ( my name) oh okay you're next 7:35- called again saying I called over 20 minutes ago, just making sure I didn't get forgot about- " oh what's your name, I wasn't told, I'm sorry I'll be right out 7:42- comes out and gives someone that pulled up five minutes ago their food, goes back in and grabs their drink, comes out and gives it to them 7:44- comes up to my window to apologize and make excuses, I held my cool until she kept standing there making excuses for two minutes, Example- there was a mix up, another person (my name) ordered but she picked up in drive thru, and they were really busy- ( which is why I waited before I called the second time) but at this moment there was barely anyone in drive thru and 3 people inside waiting for food, I kinda lost it a little. At the end I told her to please go get my food, she said she will when the kitchen gets it done. 7:50- I go in and tell them to cancel order and manager comes over and asked what happened I go to explain and he said I already have your refund ready, then proceeds to give it to me aggressively and walks away. I totally understand the whole refund being ready, because I did get an attitude, but the whole blaming other people when it was the same person who answered the phone both times I called, and all the excuses is ridiculous. She could have come up to me and said I will be out as quick as I can, my attitude would have never had happened.
