Traditional Wings are super small and have gotten tinier over the years when this location started they had a sign that warned about wait time because it was not considered fast food. Now on top of not having a wing that has any meat the prices have gotten higher and no option of a real wing. Store Could at least have a bigger wing option at a higher price. This is a decision by owners to serve less than adequate product for same price or higher than original zaxbys quality. Also everyone that has ordered their traditional Wings have experienced the hard part of wing that is not edible due to product being cooked ahead and under warmer drying out something in their process makes part of the wing hard on parts when there's barely meat on the bone already. Service is always very crappy. I came in tonight and checked the cubbies for my order. It wasn't there so I stood at the counter for a few minutes before the female decided to turn around. She doesn't speak and I said I was here for such and such order. She again just points. I said I've already checked but thanks. She looks around and then finally looks at the tickets hanging in front of her and goes I'm working on it. I'm like okay and go outside for 5+ minutes and then went back in. Another lady asks me if I am waiting on an order and I said yes. She goes and looks and says they are waiting on the food(obviously). Told me it was gonna be 5 mins okay cool. There was only one person in the back making all that food but have 3 people just chatting away up front like they didn't work there. If you have never been to Zaxby's go to this location and try it. This is the best Zaxby's in the area in my opinion. I do not like Zaxby's sauce, although many people do. I recommend the Blackened or Buffaloed Blue Zalad, the House Zalad (fried) be hungry, it's a big salad. I love the boneless wings in the sweet spicy sauce. The homemade tater chips are really good I order them without salt because they can be a little heavy handed with that seasoned salt shaker. The shakes are good. Zaxby's food for the most part is good. First, let me start with the drive thru window. I sat in line for 10 minutes and did not advance in the line at all, so I got out of my car and went inside. The experience inside was a bad one and I have had bad service before and I was giving it another chance. I ordered a salad with fried chicken, which you think would be simple, but I was wrong. During the time I was waiting they managed to give my salad to another person, which she brought back, they made an order for customer that had wanted to dine in and it was to go, just to name a few confusing orders. Not impressed at all. My husband got the Southwestern salad w/grilled chicken and said it was "ok", nothing special. He likes the prepackaged salads from Harris Teeter better. I had the House salad w/fried chicken. The chicken was very salty. Other than that, it was mediocre. I would prefer Ready Pac salads from Harris Teeter also. The Ranch dressing that came with my salad was very bland, didn't taste like Ranch dressing at all. Then we topped off our lunch with a funnel cake. Very good flavor, but very small portion. The dish it is served in dwarfs the food and they were very stingy with powdered sugar. It was served with two small packs of caramel, which was good. Had a chicken breast on sourdough sandwich, which didn't turn out great because sourdough isn't a hearty enough bread for a fried chicken breast. This is a common problem lately with restaurants using sourdough bread. On the plus side, they serve real fried chicken which tastes good, & they have the bigger steak fries that have a slightly spicy coating. All in all, a decent chicken place. Service is friendly, food's good, & the prices are reasonable. One thing though, they could be more attentive on the housekeeping end. The chicken strips were juicy and served hot. It's a good change from those national chain fast-food places. The hot wings are my favorite and I also like the fancy drink dispenser with endless availability of flavors. It was extremely busy during my visit with few seating options and the drive thru was non stop but the cleanliness was way better than one would expect of a fast food establishment. As with all Zaxby's, the food is fresh and tasty, but it does take a bit to come out. Bout the same wait time as a Hardee's would have. I honestly haven't sampled their entire menu, but I recommend the Kickin Chicken Sandwhich and the Wings N' Things platter. The wings are, of course, fantastic, both boneless and bone-in. They're both great, so its up to personal preference. I like being able to eat them with a fork a lot of the time, so I get the boneless more often. Also, don't try the Insane sauce if you're mentally or physically unprepared; it will burn you right up. The first time my brother had it, he was eating ice for a half hour to get the heat out. I've eaten in-store and gotten food from the drive-thru at this location for over 10 years. And out of those 10 years I've only had one bad experience. That experience was pretty bad, and did color my view of the store, but it was a problem at the drive-thru window at peak hours, so I ain't mad about it. read more
