If someone already has mobility or visibility limitations, backing directly into a busy road can be stressful and dangerous. The rest of the parking area is also gravel, which can be difficult to navigate with mobility aids, wheelchairs, walkers, or even just for someone unsteady on their feet. It's one of those situations where it's great that handicap parking exists close to the entrance, but the actual setup still creates challenges. Outside of that, the drinks themselves were genuinely really good, the atmosphere was fun, and I'd probably still come back for another brunch date.

They also have Chicken and Waffles which my husband and I ordered. That is our favorite entree to eat at Joella's Hot Chicken. Marv and Sawyer took the orders, and Dany delivered the food to the tables. They did a good job bringing the utensils, the sauces and clearing the tables. Rachel is their District Manager and lives in Indianapolis. She is a big supporter of Swan Pointe. We had a nice time sitting with some of our newer residents and getting to know them.

Our group sat in the front window and it gave us enough room to eat comfortably and talk to our friends. Our server was Cloe S and she jumped right in and started taking our drink orders. We met the General Manager, Scott Weber. He was very friendly and stopped by very often to check on us. Cloe took our orders and really did a wonderful job at it. My husband and I chose the Hot Browns, in fact quite a few of us ordered the Hot Browns. Chicken Livers were very popular and so were the Hamburgers and Fish and Chips. Several other servers and the GM pitched in and helped Cloe deliver the food to our tables. It really was about as smooth as I've ever seen with a crowd of 18 people. Everyone really seemed to be enjoying their meals. In fact it's the quietest we all ever get! LOL! Cloe did great passing out the checks and getting the payments back. Our server was fairly new, but she was so excellent. She was so sweet and checked on us so many times. As we were getting up from our chairs, Whitney came by to say "Hi". She told Meghan that we had been her customers several times & that we had been so nice. She would loves us. That meant alot to us. Whitney had been so sweet and still remembered us. I substituted green beans for the included fries, which I often do when eating out. Typically, I end up with a small bowl of what is akin to baby-food vegetables! Not the case here. The green beans were whole and perfectly cooked with a mild crunch and had a delicious seasoning. Talk about being pleasantly surprised. Folks, this is not your 'typical' bar food! This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce.
