I patiently waited in the drive through, and was was pleasantly greeted as I placed my order, eventually making it to the window. I Stopped in to pick up some thing for my daughter at this location and the lines were long as usual. So I decided to go inside to see if it would be a bit quicker. I ordered the meal for my daughter and was thinking I would be out of there in 10 to 15 minutes max. There were several other people in line and after waiting 20 minutes the general man ahead of me inquired about the status of his meal. So I was probably waiting about 30 to 40 minutes total before I finally received the meal.... In the meantime, I'm looking around wondering why the line is wrapped around the building and also people are on the inside and having to wait for 20 to 30 minutes and I noticed they seemed to have plenty of employees. There were at least 7+ employees in the store, most of them young teenagers With at least two individuals in the kitchen from what I could tell. But there were several other employees just kind of milling around or walking back-and-forth and also trying to work on the store closing cleanup. Bottom line it did not look efficient. This was an above average zaxbys, it had plenty of diversity in the workplace and consisted of very nice, from I could tell, workers. Every time i go to this location i order the family pack meal and every time when i get to the window they ask me to pull up and they will bring it out. I counted 10 cars that were served and passed me while i sat there. I finally walked in to see what was going on and my food was sitting there for i don't know how long. What can I say? Zaxby's is Zaxby's. While I do not frequent Zaxby's for for that matter many of their competitors. This specific Zaxby's in less than a mile from my house. I enjoy going there even though they only offer Coke products. I enjoy the different sides that Zaxby's offers like onion rings and the like. The service at this specific location is hit or miss. There are some fantastic servers here that are very attentive to the needs to the customers; Then there are the servers who have no clue when it comes to customer service. It seems that some servers do not understand that how you say something is just as important as what you say. Poor servers are not the rule but neither are excellent servers. This restaurant is clean and the service is quick. They also offer a Military discount when in uniform and some times even when not in uniform. On Wednesday they have a kid's meal special, so it is great place to get lunch before a Wednesday church service. read more

Twice the order has been wrong, the customer service/employee attitudes are always bad or lackluster and today I left the drive thru line after placing my order because 24 minutes passed and I was STILL waiting. It was ridiculous. After being acknowledged at the speaker with no greeting just "what's your order?" followed by the ridiculous wait time I made the conscience decision that I did NOT want to spend my money there and will not go back in the future. Don't go to this location. I am a huge fan of online ordering from this company but every time I place an order it's incorrect. Wrong sauces on tenders, wrong condiments, wrong side dishes. The management is horrible and offers no concession or apoloogy for having to return to get orders corrected. They don't even offer to remake your order, just swap out the incorrect items and send you on your way, cold food and all. I usually love ordering from Zaxby's but this was my first experience at this particular store and it was awful due to the quality and freshness of the food. I ordered the wings and things combo. The fries were cold. The traditional wings were especially bad. They were chewy and tasted like they had been sitting out for a couple of hours and then reheated. I am originally from McDonough but haven't lived in McDonough for a few years. I went to McDonough on Thursday afternoon to pick up my nephew & nieces. 4 children in all, and quite a rambunctious bunch when they all get together. They haven't been together in a while so they were super excited and hyper. We decided to grab some food before jumping on the interstate. Every employee of this location that we encountered (except one), were all super professional and pleasant. There was one young lady in particular who I felt went above and beyond and I'm kicking myself for not getting her name. She was also the person who took our order. Just specifying that in case she happens to see this, and I'm sure she'll remember my rambunctious group. I appreciate the employees being so pleasant and patient with us.
