You will get through the line at chick filet faster than waiting here. The food is good, the service is so slow!

It's fast food, so I'm not expecting a 5-star dining experience. With that being said, this was our first time eating Zaxby's. We didn't go inside at all, but the drive thru was fast and courteous service. I got the chicken salad sandwich and subbed the cole slaw for the fries. Based on my meal alone, I wouldn't return. The chicken salad was mostly mayo and hardly any actual chicken. I kinda gagged eating it. The cole slaw was bland tasting and stale in appearance. However, my husband had some buffalo chicken sandwich and the crinkle fries and he enjoyed both. A lot. Lol He wants to go back and try more things on their menu but I know we won't be going out of our way to do that. We both got sweet tea- we both LOVE fresh-brewed sweet tea but agreed that this tea was a little TOO sweet. Again, not my cup of tea (no pun intended) but my husband enjoyed it more as he said it complimented his salty meal. So why the 3 stars? Like I said, this is a fast food chain and, therefore, my expectations were pretty low. Compared to the other fast food chains around I would say this is a pretty average joint. The Zaxby's in Orangeburg could have done a little better during my visit. In the plus column: the staff was very knowledgeable of the products they served and the restrooms were clean. In the middle column: the wait times were longer than expected, but not bad. The negative column: majority of the tables at the location were still dirty. The food itself was okay, I had the 'wings and things' (or whatever it was called), the chicken was good but the fries were so-so. I also ordered an additional side of onion rings (I felt hungry), but after a couple of bites, I didn't like how they tasted at all (possibly the seasoning they used). Zaxby's offers an affordable and efficient dining experience for our family. However this particular Zaxby's was overwhelmingly disappointing to us. The floors were disgusting and extremely sticky. The benches and windows haven't been properly cleaned in a minimum of weeks. The team member who took our order at the counter had an attitude and was unfriendly to say the least. The bathrooms were subpar in cleanliness. No utensils were available for the coleslaw. None of the team members handling food were wearing hair nets, an industry standard for food safety. Overall this particular restaurant is an accident and illness waiting to happen. Will never recommend this location to anyone who travels. Gross read more

Waited almost 40 minutes for my food today. I thought it was unusually busy because today was the Cooper River Bridge Run but reading the other Yelp reviews reveals it's not abnormal. Waiting more than 10 minutes at a place like this is totally unacceptable. Food was up to standards with most Zaxby's - which was quite good. I found the place to be relatively clean, especially given the number of people in the place. Also there were several people cleaning the dining room...which was good...but probably could have been better used in the kitchen. read more

Read the past reviews and was a little skeptical but really want to give it a try. I have no complaints at all. It was 6:00 PM and I was ready to eat. The whole experience was excellent! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Ordered Wings and Things and received my meal three minutes later. All of the food was hot as it were cooked right then. Let me start by saying I'm a fan of Zaxby's. I eat at various locations frequently with my family. The Orangburg location off the interstate is the worst one I've been to. I stopped there by myself approximately 2 years ago and received bad service from a staff that appeared they couldn't care less about the customers. They would stand there with their back to you if you walk up to the counter and act irritated if you ask for something, like a fork or sauce, etc. The food was so-so and the restaurant was dirty. I decided then i would not return. The Chik-fil-a down the street is a good alternative by the way. Fast forward to this past weekend. I was passing through with my family and decided that after 2 years I would give them another chance. Guess what? Nothing had changed. It took much longer to get the food than most branches and there were several people waiting despite there not being that many people in the store and what appeared to be more than enough staff. I ordered a salad which comes with toast. The toast was EXTREMELY salty and soggy. I think rather than lightly brush on the buttery seasoning like they are supposed to, they had actually submerged the toast in it causing it to soak up like a sponge. Aweful. I approached the counter to ask for some sauce which was left out of my kids meal. One employee made eye contact with me but quickly turned his back and acted like he didn't see me. Then a female worker actually walked up to the counter to place a tray of food but refused to acknowledge me or make eye contact. When I spoke to her and asked for the sauce she turned around and got the sauce, gave it to me and didn't say a word. I said thank you but she ignored me. What happened to common courtesy and being polite to one another? I won't be back and I don't recommend them to anyone else. read more

Yuck. Don't stop - drive straight to Chick-a-filet for real chicken and fries. if you going to eat junk food make it GOOD junk food. Zackby's chicken is hard and bready. Who needs that?? They don't have this spot where I live and I am glad - I'd rather eat cardboard. read more

The worst Zaxby's experience ever. Went through the drove thru, watched the people in front of us get out food from the window. Then was asked to pull up because our food was not ready. Sat in the car waiting for 15 minutes after not getting any food yet, I decided to go inside and see what the hold up was. After going inside I learned that they gave the girl in front of us that also had to pull up our food again!! I then had to wait 15 more minutes to get my food inside and then get to the car to find out they did not complete the order correctly and the food was also cold. By this point I just gave up and left anyway. I will not be back to this Zaxby's again. read more

Can't give a single star. Restaurant is grossly understaffed on a Saturday during vacation season!!!! THATS VERY POOR MANAGEMENT!!! They should know this and be prepared!!!!! Don't make this your grab and go food destination...took 40 minutes to get food!! read more

They charge you extra if you want an extra sauce. That's lame. Also, too much chicken. Not enough vegetarian options.

Food was ok but the service was not. We were headed back home from Florida. We have stopped in Orangeburg before for lunch and gas because there are a number of food options. I wanted to go to Zaxby's and I'm sorry I did. We wanted a quick meal and to get back on the road. When we walked in there were a number of people waiting and staring at the counter. I asked my husband if he wanted to leave and go to McDonalds but he said we would stay. We both regret that decision. We placed our order and waited about half an hour for our meals. We understand that they claim they make quality food and made to order but that is still ridiculous. The food was good but certainly not worth the wait. We may try Zaxby's again but certainly not this location. read more

So, the food here is fine. The only issue that I have is the service. I'm not sure if the employees are lazy and do not want to make milkshakes or whether the machine is down every time I go whether it's day or night. It is honestly quite frustrating. Either way, I wish it would get fixed. If you want food that's alright but do not want a milkshake that they clearly advertise then this is your place. Still better than the McDonald's down the road with the incompetent employees. read more
