Waiting in the line of doom

Sadly I'm back again to this pathetic excuse of a Zaxby's. We have been sitting here for 10 minutes. Only 3 of us in the line, yet it is taking an eternity. Please for the love of God, fix this.

Supposed to be a Zensation Salad.

Always a great experience with this location. The employees are always nice and the food is up to par. We frequent here twice a week.

It is located in the Avenue, so there is plenty of parking and shopping to do around this pizza place. It was freezing, so we sat inside, but there is seating outside with heaters. It is a order at the counter type of restaurant. But the bar and food are separate ordering stations. To eat, I got the gluten free margarita pizza and my friend got the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer. Again, this was the best gluten free pizza I ever had! I ate it all. It didn't even taste gluten free and still had some thickness to the crust, which I absolutely love and miss about a pizza when I have to get GF. My pizza was a lot smaller than a normal, non-GF pizza, but it still was a great size. To drink, I got the Aperol spritz and my friend got the maragarita. The drink was perfect! Service was quick and the atmosphere was on point.

We got an order of the focaccia, I ate almost the whole thing to myself! Then we ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza for the kids and a Tartufata pizza for us, omg it was so good and it had olive oil on top, which made it even better! After we ate, of course we had to go get some gelato. The cherry cheesecake gelato was to die for! The people who worked in here were very nice and friendly and the food came out fast! Next time I'm in the area, I definitely have to come again!

We had the pork rind nachos to start. holy moly was it great. tangy, spicy, crunchy, salty. yum. then we split the pork chops over the grits (they added cheese for us) and that was also incredible. the food was just great. our server and the staff were young and very informative - Caden was our server, nice job Caden. The place is listed as a gastropub and i've never thought of it as such, and i suppose in some ways the food is but its so much better, and the atmosphere is definitely NOT that. It sort of made me laugh to actually see a LOT of babies there...their parents were there too - it just wasn't a bunch of babies having a night on the town. As a parent myself, it was nice to see families out with their kids and the kids were all pretty darn well behaved. All in all, VERY well done Curious Pig. I shall return.

It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.

We have some nice ones but Pascals will always be my favorite. It had been several years since we had dined here. It was the first time since the new owners. We had been once before when it was still transitioning from Pascal to the new owner. It was great to see that it was a popular destination even on a Thursday night. The decor has not changed very much, still very European feeling. Service was Top notch... Very attentive. There were several large groups celebrating. Different events are just getting together and it didn't seem to affect the pace of the kitchen or the service. The stuff founder was one of the best I've had. The fish was fresh and the saffron sauce was light in lovely. Not the best scallopini I've had but it was still delicious. I think the veal needed to be beaten more. They had a happy hour special of appetizers that went along with the drink specials, and on Thursday nights they have half price bottle wines. We decided on escargots for our appetizer since we were celebrating, don't get those very often. I wouldn't order them again... If you really love escargotes then they would be okay or you might be even more disappointed... Not in the garlicky butter stuff. That makes them so good. These we're a little gritty. The creme brulee was a pretty but not that flavorful. They still have special tasting nights. So that's good to see

The appetizers were outstanding. Since we were in the south, we had to try the Green Fried Tomatoes, which were good especially with the goat cheese garnishment . The Lobster Deviled Eggs were outstanding also. For entrees, our party had the halibut, the Steak au poivre, (2x, one medium and the other medium well) and the flounder. All of them were excellent, but special remarks must be given to the halibut. It was truly delicious. The deserts were a perfect closure. One negative comment: the wine availability was "meh". We ordered one bottle from the list that was not available. The substitution was ok. The white wine bottle we ordered as the seafood complement was adequate but did not match the otherwise extraordinary quality of everything else. We also had two very good cosmopolitans, with a local flare. Definitely will try those again. Will visit again when in the area!

We both ordered a popular bourbon cocktail (I can't remember what it was called) and the 12 hour boneless short ribs. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate peanut butter cake. Everything was delicious! Negative remarks: * We wish there was more meat per serving (the short ribs were $25). * After we finished eating, our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes. We were left hovering over empty plates and unable to order the dessert or our check when it came time.
