We hadn't been to Zaxby's for a really long time so we grabbed dinner here recently. It was all decorated for Christmas and looked lovely. We were super hungry and absolutely overordered! The cheddar bites were delicious- definitely an excellent choice. The loaded fries were good too and massive. They could be an entire meal by themselves. We had the Big Zax Snacks meal with fries. The chicken was crispy, the fries were seasoned perfectly and hot and crispy, the toast looked great, but I had no more room in my tummy. We Love Zaxby's ... this location tries but have had many better experiences at Zs. Staff was courteous and timely service. Bathrooms could have used a proper cleaning and while the Coke Freestyle machine is very cool just give me a well mixed basic Diet Coke with my meal. read more

Even when ordering through the app this location will consistently get the order wrong. For example 4/5 times I've ordered food from here over the past year, I have not received an item from my order. Furthermore the staff shouldn't all be huddled in one corner of the kitchen talking and playing on their phones when there's multiple cars in the drive through. Incompetent morons. Once again, those seeking $200,000 an hour can't get the simplest things correct. I go to the DRIVE-THROUGH because I don't want to go inside. Easy concept, except for the cell phone addled participation trophy generation. Food is ordered, drinks received and I was told to park over by the sign to wait for them to bring out my order. Double checked, since the sign seemed kind of far away, usually have to park just in front of the DT window, but he said yeah, by THAT sign. I go and wait...& wait.. and wait. Contrary to the purpose of a drive-through, after at least 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to go in and see if everyone was OK, they may have gotten zero bars on their cell phones and went into panic mode and began to loot and pillage since the world had probably ended. I went in and they said they couldn't find me. I must have parked by the sign of a different Zaxby's or they were afraid to venture out into the unknown world known as "outside". After a few minutes of observing their zombie like stares I was told oops, we put it in the Door Dash things. Sorry. Instead of a real apology and offering to make me some actual hot food (it had now been a total of 45 minutes) it seems they were going into social media withdrawal after having to deal with an actual non-millenial human. I said just return my money, they did, and I left. The food has always been good though, but after getting burned so many times I just had to vent. read more

First off, I wish I could do negative stars. I ordered my food in the drive thru and then waited HALF AN HOUR in a parking spot while other people pulled into spot then got their food a couple minutes later. I eventually asked and the worked said they are working on it then magically it came out. But don't worry they forgot one of our items (a side of cheese bites). But it gets worse, way worse my girlfriend wanted a sip of her sprite in the way home, IT WAS WATER. But it gets worse, when we got home to eat our wings mine was the wrong flavor. (I ordered Buffalo garlic blaze and got some nasty soy sauce Asian tasting one it was disgusting). But it's not over yet the Zaxby's from hell keeps on giving. The chicken was so dry and tough. I can only speak of the one in Wilmington, NC. I work across the street so it's convenient for me to pop over but the last several times I have gone I've been extremely disappointed. The salads are soggy and full of water from the lettuce being frozen and then thawing out. 4/5 times there is an ingredient missing. This was the last straw for me, I couldn't even eat a 1/4 of the salad, it was brown and wimpy and had clearly been sitting around since the chicken wasn't even warm. At almost $11 for a salad I expect the lettuce to be fresh. Management is lacking as well. This Zaxby's has really gone down hill which is unfortunate because I used to love going to Zaxby's. read more

I have heard for a very long time about how good Zaxby's Chicken is. It was one of the only options for buffalo wings that I saw when I ordered delivery. I got the spicy fried mushrooms, buffalo wings with the original sauce, chicken fingers with Zax sauce, and the blackened chicken salad. I over-ordered so I would have lunch for tomorrow too. I tried the mushrooms, and they were awesome, I ate them all. Although I wouldn't say they were even a little bit spicy. I tried the wings, and they were not that great. They were soggy and the original sauce is just boring and bland. The chicken fingers were good, but pretty basic. The salad ended up being the best part which is kind of sad for a fried chicken joint. I don't think I'll order from them again, I'll stick to the local spots I know. read more

I love zaxbys the food is delicious but i do think the zax sauce is super super important but they often forget to include the sauce that you order. It's even 25¢ for extra sauce just to find out it's not in the bag. I even asked if it was in there and was cut off saying it was. I was here today to try the chicken sandwich, egg roll, fries and drink combo. The egg roll and fries were under cooked. Toast for the sandwich was cold to the touch and the chicken was barely warm. I will not be going back to this location because when I talked to the manager he showed lack of concern and stated, "special order it next time, it might take longer but would be fresher". I went to this Zaxby's for the first time today because it is down from where I work. I went through the drive thru and was immediately spoken to and received my food which was great, service is good. I ordered the buffalo salad and it was pretty good didn't seem so fresh. I also got a sweet tea and when I finished it I noticed a piece of brown paper towel in the bottom of my cup which I thought was weird. I usually go here when my kid's school is doing a fund-raiser night and some of the proceeds go to their school. The kids dig it. Chicken tenders and fries! I'm not a huge fan of the meals, but if you like fried chicken with fries and a big chunk of Texas Toast, then this place is for you. The salads (or 'Zalads') are good. Granted, I can only speak for the drive-through experiences I've had, but service is always slow. I always get the club combo, which is good, but fries are skimpy and it's basically just a to-go box of grease. Each visit has been mediocre, but my last experience was really the nail in the coffin. I pull up to the window to pay and wait a few minutes (as always). The girl working the window abruptly swings open the window only to yell across the parking lot (over me) to tell a co-worker that '____ said to call her'. Then she slammed the window shut. I wait a few minutes more and she opens the window again, shoves my bag out--not saying a WORD, except to another co-worker that she liked his new haircut. Again, she closes the window. I pulled off vowing to never visit there again. I'm not going to pay $9 for food that tastes okay, but has no nutritional value..the restaurant doesn't have the most convenient methods of getting out, and then they employ people that clearly missed the whole 'customer service' part of the training sessions. read more

Zaxby's is on the higher end of fast-food. The chicken is fresh and the salads are delicious! Customers complain about paying for sauce, but it clearly says that all sauces are 25 cents extra. The Meal Deals all come with drinks, but "Wings and Things" combo and "Chicken Finger Plate" do not. The place has a friendly atmosphere and it's great for casual inexpensive dining. read more
