I went to this nail salon for a spa pedicure. It was a pleasant experience but, I wouldn't say it was great. Positives: this place is VERY clean. The people were nice & made it easy to book a same-day appointment. Also, my toenails look nice. Negatives: the nail tech was 15 minutes late to my appointment and then rushed through b/c she had another come in. Maybe b/c she was rushed, the massage was minimal and mediocre. For $30, I expected more than a 30 minute service. Also, she was sick and although she had a mask on, the phlegm sounds were pretty gross. Its possible I expected too much, I would come back here in a pinch but, if I wanted a relaxing pedicure, I would go elsewhere. read more

They do great work but it's extremely difficult to get an appointment in less than a week and then they seem to overbook as well. Twice I've waited 20+ minutes for my appointment. I don't reccomend going here unless you are fine with booking 2 days in advance for mediocre work. They never have enough people on staff and don't accept walk ins yet they say they do. They will overcharge you for even asking for your cuticles cut otherwise they won't do it. Very disappointed on time for this $50 service. No soaking time and very fast foot massage. Made me wonder what a regular pedicure would be! Maybe 10 min? I do not live in La Quinta permanently, but am there several weeks out of the year. I have been looking for a salon for acrylic fills and pedicures. After trying several places, I landed on Zen 2 Nails. The fill I had has lasted three weeks with no yellowing, lifting, or breakage. My pedicure has lasted the same amount of time. After going barefoot, hanging out at the pool, and even camping there are no chips or cracks. Absolutely loved my experience tonight! The place is small and boutique-y which I prefer for a more intimate and quiet experience. Soft relaxing music played. The entire studio was very clean and the seats were cleaned immediately after someone would leave. All three ladies were friendly and we laughed and talked and really enjoyed our conversations. We had fun coming up w a design for my nails too! Highlights: - upgraded pedicure / scrub/paraffin/heel treatment was amaaaazing especially since I wear sandals a lot! - massages were very nice and generous, especially the scrub! - the removal of my previous gel was VERY gently achieved. With a long soak in water, long soak with acetone/foil, and very very gentle removal with their tool! Often times, salons are very quick with this process and end up damaging my nails resulting in brittle, thin, broken nails. - integrity of the nail is so important for me to continue to use dip and or gel and they really nurture that here. - friendly staff - clean quiet atmosphere - they offer OPI products which are my favorite! I was a loyal customer to a larger Nail shop for years, here in the desert but the quality of work and customer service has declined. I have been on the search for a new place for a couple months now. After reading the reviews and a recommendation from my bff, I tried out Zen 2 Nails and I'm glad I did! A plus, it's in beautiful La Quinta and close to home. Jeannie did a full set for me with the exact design I was looking for and Koko did my pedi. It was so relaxing and my feet feel amazing.
