She gave me two referrals to go back to the La Quinta center as I live in La Quinta. I had three visits with Emily. On the second visit I included eyebrow waxing. I found when I washed my face and removed the exaggerated eyebrow pencil later that day, I saw that I was left with a big hole at the tail end of my left eyebrow. On my third visit (a month later) I showed Emily the result of her wax damage and she said "let's watch it until your next visit". I left the appointment after scheduling my next appointment at the reception desk for later in June 2026. I happened to receive my credit card statement and noticed that I was charged $64 from my third visit. As I said, I have been a client for 3 years. During that time, I purchased contracts for Brazilian wax (which I modify at my own request), Upper thigh, and eyebrows. I have received the same services as described above under the prepaid agreement. I have consistently modified the upper thigh to include the back of my thigh only as that is really all that I require. When I contacted the Center and asked what the charge was for, I was told that my contract is only for the "inner thigh" and therefore, I was charged the $64 for waxing the back of my upper thigh. Never, ever, was any added charges made on my credit card after any of my previous visits. Plus and most concerning, the charge was put on my Mastercard the Center has on file WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. I made my followup appointment after my service and I left. There was ample time to speak to me about the impending secret charge while I was making another appointment. My following conversations (after the discovery of the charge on my Mastercard) with their management representative, I asked for a full refund of monies I have on account. I did not want to get services from this company any longer. I was told I needed to either forfeit the credit or take a gift card to be used at the Center. In my opinion, if in fact it was decided that the prior services I received were different from the services described that I paid for, I should have been notified during my visit or called thereafter. It should NEVER have been that I was secretly charged an additional fee. Needless to say, I can not afford to walk away from over $413 (after cancellation fee has been taken from the actual amount on hand). So, I am thinking about different ways to complete my contract with European Wax Center and NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. Leslie R.

She had the wax uncomfortably hot, and didn't have a very pleasant waxing style (very rough and heavy handed), she also trimmed my eyebrows and left hairs all over my face! Then the cashier was insistent on my zip code and information for all the cards that I've ever had on file and said it's ALWAYS been EWC policy since they opened to get all of the information EVERY TIME a card is used ( this feels like a scam and an attempt to obtain personal information) I know this isn't the case because I have been to many EWC locations across the US and have NEVER been asked for it, it's scan and go! Never have I been asked for info on my card. Needless to say this was not the best visit or a favorite location anymore.
