We tried this restaurant while staying at the Omni. Im not sure what Jose's role was but we loved his friendly and humorous personality. He made the experience very enjoyable. We had the rainbow roll, spider roll, dumplings, sake, ginger salad, vegetable fried rice, and same. Everything was delicious and served fresh and prompt. The rainbow roll has escolar and it definitely is an acquired taste.

This will be quick.... this place is overpriced and mediocre at best. The service is lacking. I had to ask several times for refills that kept being forgotten. I wasn't told refills were not free on sodas. At almost $6 a soda, give me a bigger glass and not a 5oz. wine glass of mostly ice! Sushi is comparable to grocery store bought sushi. Panda express taste so much better and I question if some of the food was brought in by Panda Express. Dessert is pretty, but don't be deceived. Zen please improve the quality of your food or lower your prices to the level of mediocrity it is and train your employees to be more informative and attentive. Maybe the servers don't work as much as they should for tips because 20 percent gratuity is already included on your check. Another strike against this place....

The service provided by the servers was exceptional, as they were attentive, quick, and efficient. However, the overall rating of the establishment suffered due to the quality of the food. Personally, I found the food to be both overpriced and lacking in flavor, with the exception of the bock choy which was quite tasty. Unfortunately, the salmon nigiri was particularly disappointing and did not meet expectations, especially considering its higher price. Additionally, it is worth noting that if you plan to visit Zen, it is advisable to simply walk over rather than relying on the RSVP app for accurate information. During my visit, I was the only customer dining at 9pm, and the restaurant unexpectedly closed early while I was still there. Interestingly, my coworker and his wife had made reservations for 9:15pm through the app, but when they arrived at 7:30pm, they were allowed to dine earlier as there were no other patrons present. They also agree'd it could have been so much better and would not try it again. Given my experience, I would recommend exploring other dining options within the hotel compound if you have the opportunity to do so. For the restaurant, I would recommended reviewing the offerings you have and the quality of those items. Maybe have some blind studies on the menu, ask a local Yelp team to host elite evet to get honest feedback.

i visited this restaurant while staying at the Omni. i made a reservation for the first available 845, and received a call that my table was ready at 815 so i hustled down. (table for 1) i waited maybe 15 minutes before i was greeted by a server which was frustrating after rushing down early. ordered a glass of wine and then had the ginger salad. The ginger salad was good, very different than the traditional due to the type of fresh greens they use rather than iceberg and the pickled onions which added a nice touch. Then I ordered a sushi roll. The overall timing of the order and arrival for food left room for improvement as again I waited patiently. The roll was pretty good. I closed out my check at 9:45 and was ready for bed. Would not revisit as there are so many other options that provide more attentive service but it was convenient to have this option at the resort.

I will start by saying the service was great! Everyone was very friendly and always smiling. The calamari was great, and we were surprised with the dessert for our anniversary. The appetizer and dessert were probably the best parts of our meal. The drinks were ok. The entrees were pretty bland for the most part, and pretty over priced for the quality.

They accommodated our large party well.... Duck ramen was amazing. Service was fast. Abit overpriced but it's a given being that it's inside a resort. Our server- Maylee shared the same name as our daughter and made her feel very special celebrating her birthday!

The service was excellent, soo good I added 10% on top of the 18% gratuity for being in a large group. The atmosphere was professional pseudo-upscale wo the stuffy vibe. I went there two nights for dinner during a conference and each experience was the same. The Sea Bass w Black Rice was absolutely great. I recommend highly. The fish was most all the way through it nearly melted in my mouth and the black rice is life changing. I've had black rice before but never this good. The serving night I had Gen Tso Chicken w fried rice which was good even for $26. The green beans that came was crunchy for my taste but not bad. I ordered the Smokey Manhattan it was great and dessert I had David's Cup (decaf) again great. Great restaurant for groups up to 10, date night, and families or business.

After a long day at Universal Studios, we went back to the hotel to enjoy a meal. The food was seasoned well but pretty average. I did like the sea bass quite a bit, so I had to add a star for that. The service was great. Our server was very personable and nice to talk with. It was quiet while we were there but would probably be average noise level at dinner rush time. We came in about 30 min from closing but never felt rushed at all. Not a bad choice for hotel guests.

I wish I would've saved my $50 + tip for 2 rolls and went to Trevi's for dinner instead. I've had better Shrimp tempura rolls at Publix and that says a lot! I have sushi/sushami from some very nice high-end restaurants with great chefs pretty regularly so I have a knack for quality food. Something is off about their rolls and I can't quite comprehend what is missing. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the staff were nice, they gave me ample napkins and such for my to-go order. This was supposed to be a late night snack (9:30pm) by the pool with a couple of cocktails. The cocktails from the pool bar was the highlight of our dinner, not the sushi.

I had Laura as my server. I orders chicken lo mein, but it ended up with coming no chicken. I'm no Karen, so I did not mind. Laura was extremely nice and was eager to fix it. I was okay to just add the chicken and call it a day. The chef took pride in her work and brought out a brand new plate. It was 8:50 and they close at 9. I cannot say I'd do the same after working all day right before close. Overall my experience with the employees and food was a 5/5.

Delicious sushi! Wish I had taken more photos but we were starving! Highly recommend if staying in the resort. Our waiter forgot to bring us our wine but gave us Wakame salad for free to make up for it! Otherwise he was very attentive and gave great recommendations. The red dragon roll is amazing!!! Highly recommended!!

We were told that we had to replace it or still pay for the food that was inedible in our opinion. Forcing a guest to buy a replacement is something that neither of us has never experienced. Until this visit, we have always enjoyed our dining experience. Being forced to either pay for food we found inedible or pay to replace it with something else is just wrong. Most all of their dishes are delightful, but just be aware that if you do not care for the meal that you ordered, be prepared to be forced to pay for a replacement. They took our original order off of the check but told us we had no choice, but to replace it.

The quality of the fish and ingredients is beyond fresh, and the execution and creativity behind each dish is phenomenal. Hands down, this is the BEST omakase experience in Orlando! One thing we really love is that they are constantly evolving and introducing new dishes. Even if you've been before, you need to come back to see what's in season and what new creations the chef is crafting. Chef Leo genuinely interacts with guests, asks for feedback, and wants to know your favorite bites -- you can tell he truly listens to his customers and takes pride in the experience he creates. Another detail I really enjoy is that after the 17-course omakase, you have the option to order additional pieces of your favorite bites before dessert for an extra charge. It's such a nice touch, especially when there's a dish you just can't stop thinking about. They also offer a great drink menu with a variety of beers, sake, and wines that pair beautifully with the meal.

I live in the New York area where we are fortunate to have a huge selection of fantastic omakase options, and I certainly think Izuki is on par with the best of these. Both chefs were amazing, and everything was delicious, my favorites were the, Mehikari, Spotted Prawn & foie gras, A5 Wagyu, and the fatty tuna. What used to be a balanced piece of sushi is now about 90% rice and 10% fish. The fish slices are paper-thin while the rice portions are oversized and packed tightly. For an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, it feels like a deliberate tactic to fill customers up on cheap rice so they can't order and enjoy more sushi. That's not what people come here for. We come for quality sushi, not fist-sized balls of rice with a sliver of fish on top. What makes this even more frustrating is that I brought my concerns to the staff and management and was essentially dismissed. There was no effort to address the issue or make things right. If you're going to cut portions and reduce quality, at least be honest about it instead of pretending nothing has changed. Unfortunately, after being a loyal customer for so long, I can no longer justify spending my money here. There are too many other sushi restaurants that understand what nigiri is supposed to look like and actually value their customers. Very disappointing experience.
