    Waygu skewers
    Gabby R.

Kimonos is located in the Swan hotel, a Disney resort hotel. It has a variety of authentic Japanese options with its most popular food being sushi. I ordered the waygu skewers as a small plate. They were so tender and juicy. I also had their raspberry sake sangria and it was amazing as well. The service was great! We were well attended to. The ambiance definitely isn't quiet as they do have karaoke but still it is such a fun vibe outside of the park.

    Mochi for my birthday
    Leah W.

I was at a conference during my birthday. I took myself to Japanese for one at Kimonos at the Swan hotel. I was happy to have this special experience. The staff and my server were super sweet and wished me happy birthday many times. They even gave me complimentary mochi at the end of my meal. To celebrate I ordered a sangria drink. All of the chefs signed a card that they gave me. So thoughtful! I am giving a 4 instead of 5 because honestly I didn't love the food. The sushi was just okay to me. I ordered a coconut shrimp one that was kinda strange. It probably was just my order but that's why I'm giving it a 4 not 5.

I was staying at the Swan because I was working at a convention, and I had dinner at Kimonos on my own for 4 or 5 days straight (!). I know, that's a bit peculiar, but most of my co-workers unfortunately aren't into Japanese food and it's my favorite cuisine, so here I had my chance to eat it for dinner as often as I felt like. I did spot two of my Japanese co-workers at a table and asked: "what do you think? Acceptable?" One of them looked at me, and after a suspense-filled pause, she replied "Acceptable." And so I placed my first order. I like the appetizer with the thin slices of yellowtail with finely cut jalapeno rings and yuzu soy vinaigrette. Another dish I ordered twice was the Kimono roll (but without the wasabi mayo), and also the kimchi soup with tofu and stringy mushrooms, but if you're not already a fan of kimchi (a spicy Korean form of chili-pickled cabbage) and tofu then you will not want a bowl of it. The nigiri plate was "acceptable" and nothing earth shattering. The Alaskan roll with salmon and crab was better. I love yellowtail, but trying it torched for once was " meh." Out of the mochi desserts, my favorite was the green tea one (red bean was too grainy and vanilla with chocolate chips was too bland). I'm not a fan of the Swan/Dolphin and surrounding's design (too kitchy for me), but I enjoyed the ambience of Kimono and their waitresses were very kind.

Fantastic food that is a solid value. Karaoke at night, and the most friendly staff. Melissa is a gem.

The food was just okay. The kalbi short ribs were very chewy and the sushi was just okay. You can tell they are not using the best ingredients. The only good part is the servers were very good.

Shrimp tempura roll and alaskan roll

I've passed this place a few times, and it's always pretty busy.     Walking in the place seems pretty modern, yet elegant.  I was helped right away, and service was fast.            I had placed my order at the bar for take-out.  I ordered: 1.  Wagyu beef skewer - Perfectly grilled, so tender,  and juicy. 2.  Grilled kalbi beef short rib - super tender that you can easily rip the bone off. 3.  Tempura roll - Something so simple but perfectly made. 4.  Alaskan roll - so fresh and refreshing with the virus citrus on top 5.  Karaage chicken - not the usual karaage chicken we're used to.   This was like an orange chicken.   This was very tasty and crunchy, just not what I was expecting. 6.  Side order of rice - rice perfectly cooked and goes well with all the starters ordered.     Overall,  everything we had here was amazing.   We would definitely come back here again.  Maybe even check out the karaoke.

Lollipop roll, yes 3 pieces for $17
    David P.

This is the worst review I've given. DO NOT ORDER THE LOLLIPOP ROLL unless you just like throwing away money. You pay $17 and only get 3 slim slices. AND nowhere do they indicate it's a small portion. I u sweat and paying more at a report, but this was crazy. I feel TOTALLY ripped off. I will NOT go there again and will continue to warn people.

    Birthday mochi

All five of these stars are for the bartender David J who served us when we were here for my wife's birthday last month. We were staying at the Swan in preparation for my wife's Skyliner birthday bar crawl the next day. After having a big dinner, we stopped in to Kimonos to have some after-dinner drinks. We also thought we would see some karaoke, but (fortunately?) it didn't start until 9:30pm. We ordered a couple drinks off the menu from David, the bartender. I got the Chai Espresso Martini, which was good. David gave my wife with a mochi birthday surprise. We were having a great time, so we wanted to stay for another drink, but didn't feel particularly inspired by anything on the cocktail menu. Sensing our hesitation, David asked us both about what kind of drinks we like and made us custom cocktails, which were still very much in theme to the restaurant. Seriously, I think this guy should be in charge of the cocktail menu because his creations were way more interesting than what was there. For me, he made a Roku gin-based drink with negori sake, sakura powder, yuzu bitters, and soda water. If that had been on the menu, I would have ordered it in a heartbeat. For my wife, he made a bourbon-based "umami bomb" which she loved. If I see David behind the bar again, I will surely stop in.

A bit pricey but not bad considering it's a hotel restaurant. Overall service was great and we were seated quickly. I recommend for bigger parties to try and arrive early. The shrimp tempura is by far the best app on the menu. I could probably eat like 5 plates of it. Worth it!

Pretty good food, chill atmosphere, nice staff. We ate here twice, during our week stay. The udon was simple, but good, so we came back for more. The sushi was all fresh and tasty. The tempura, cucumber seaweed salad, and chicken satay were all good too. Staff was very friendly and welcoming!

    Perfect Snow saki
    Vikki B.

Limited menu but very good! Reasonably priced and the service is just as you expect a Disney property. Our server recommended great saki. The jalapeño roll was our fave. It's lively and they accommodated us having two toddlers in tow. They have karaoke but we didn't stay for it. Starts at 9:30 pm.

It was neigh impossible having to compete with all the Disney resort guests who get a head start on dining reservations. But one day, we got one! Very exciting. The ambiance is really unbeatable. First of all, you're in the same complex as the giant Epcot ball, which is cool. You have to go up a couple of floors, which makes it feel rooftop, also cool. And then you get in there, and it's the brightest, shiniest thing you've ever seen. It's like you're in a lounge on the USS Enterprise or something, the coolest. The service was top-notch, too. Disney makes so much money, their dining experiences rarely feel understaffed. Very nice people, and a very small menu, which made their ticket times very quick. We didn't wait long for anything. As for the food itself, bangin. We started off with the Funghi Flatbread (Roasted Mushrooms, Miso-Mascarpone, Mozzarella, Fontina, Pickled Cippolini Onion, Black Garlic Molasses). This was very good. The mushrooms were roasted to perfection, the miso adds a nice little funky background to contrast the acid pops from the onion. More funky umami from that blessed black garlic molasses, and I was very surprised with how good this flatbread was. We moved along to the Charcuterie Board (Chef's Selection of Artisanal Cheeses, Cured Meats, and Accompaniments), which was the best board I've had anywhere on Disney property, I swear. Really nice meats, cheeses, accoutrements, a couple different kinds of carb vessels. I loved this. We had something else, too, that I can't find on the online menu right now, which is a good sign. Any menu that seasonally rotates means that someone is paying attention. Another thing going in this place's favor. A final note on the drinks. They had a couple of Zero-Proof Cocktails on the menu, which they actually put effort into. Too many places out there are just mixing different fruit juices together. This place is using actual non-alcoholic spirits. I applaud their effort to inclusivity. Overall, yes, this place Was expensive, you're right. But it was well worth it, I think. Good food, drinks, atmosphere, one of Disney's better recent dining openings.

We were seated at the wheelchair accessible part of the bar, right in front of the bartender. The host joked that that was the best seat in the house, however the bartender was most impersonal, it was hard to hear each other and was strange feeling like we were sitting on the floor compared to the rest of the bar patrons. We were celebrating a birthday but I guess everyone at Disney is celebrating something these days. When we looked around the room, there were plenty of empty tables and seats in the lounge and many of the people sitting at the windows were just on their phones. Drinks are all around $25ish. I asked the bartender for a recommendation and the drink he recommended was not at all enjoyable to drink. We choked down our drinks and decided to move on to our next reservation. A lot of pomp for a let down.

As the hostess walked away from our table, she commented that our group was going to be "nothing but a problem." The basis for that assumption? One member of our party had simply helped clear and organize the table to make the seating process easier and faster for the staff. Yes, we were a lively group. We were on vacation, having a great time at Disney, laughing and enjoying each other's company. What we were not was intoxicated. The situation escalated when one of our friends was accused of being drunk and our entire party of 10 was asked to leave. The problem is that she wasn't intoxicated at all. What makes this especially troubling is that our friend has worked incredibly hard to maintain her sobriety and recently celebrated 12 months alcohol-free through AA. To be publicly accused of being drunk after reaching such a significant milestone was humiliating, heartbreaking, and completely unnecessary. When we brought our concerns to the General Manager, Scott, we expected leadership. We expected someone who would take a moment to assess the situation, listen to both sides, and use his own judgment. Instead, he simply stated that he trusted his employees and made no effort to independently evaluate what had happened. A manager's job isn't to blindly accept accusations. A manager's job is to gather facts, assess the situation, and make informed decisions. In this case, Scott failed to do that. As a result, the restaurant lost a party of 10 customers. More importantly, they deeply hurt someone who has spent the last year fighting for her sobriety. That's the part of this experience we won't forget. Everyone makes mistakes. Great restaurants acknowledge them, learn from them, and treat people with dignity. Unfortunately, this experience was defined by assumptions, poor judgment, and a complete lack of empathy from both the staff and management.
