I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Oza Izakaya. The ambience is beautiful and refined. They did a spectacular job of creating an amazing space that served up some really delicious food. I began the evening with one of their hot-tasting items, the Wagyu Gyoza. It was so nicely flavored, with great texture. This could either be a shareable item or enjoyed alone. We also ordered the Negima (chicken breast) and the Spicy Argentinian Red Shrimp. I would order both items again. The chicken was moist and the shrimp was spicier than I expected, but oh so good! For our main entrees, I ordered the Miso Black Cod, and my husband had the Kyoto Paitan Ramen. The Ramen was well-seasoned, and the Cod was delicately plated, with crisp capers that added a layer of flavor. The House Strawberry Lemonade was refreshing, and the Okinawa Breeze was lightly sweet and colorful. It will be one of the most memorable cocktails I've had because of its presentation and taste. We ended the night with the Woo Baby (Ube Cheesecake) and the Yuzu Delight (Yuzu Cheesecake). The yuzu was tart and the ube was light and creamy. Both are outstanding dessert options. The entire night flowed effortlessly, thanks to our server Miguel. He was so organized in his approach and was so kind and funny. His presence was greatly welcomed and appreciated. Fantastic experience from start to finish. We had the uni toast, truffle seafood noodles, chicken wings, chicken thigh, spicy Argentine red shrimp, and the yuzu hamachi, followed by the ube and yuzu cheesecakes for dessert. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, especially the grilled items. The standout for me was the truffle seafood pasta, with the yuzu hamachi right alongside it. Both were exceptional and easily the highlights of the meal. The flavors were creative without being overdone, the seafood was fresh, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. We took customers out to dinner here. There were 6 of us. We had reservations for 7pm. We were sat immediately. The Restaurant is very nicely decorated. They played great 80's music! Our waitress was wonderful! Very good, attentive, patient, and helpful. We ordered SO MUCH food! First we ordered 2 plates of the wagyu gyozas. They were so good, we ordered two more. And then two more! We also ordered and shared the garlic edemame. We each had a hand roll. They were delicious! We had the grilled octopus and potato appetizer. I felt like there were too smokey tasting. We ordered 3 different kinds of sushi rolls- the truffle tuna, the Hamachi hero, and the Bonbu Tiger. We ordered 2-3 of each one. They were all delicious but my favorite was the truffle tuna. We ordered the Premium Sashimi set. The fish was delicious. Absolutely perfect. We didn't have a bite left of anything. We just passed everything around and shared everything. We also shared a bottle of sake. Altogether our bill was about $1000 for the six of us. But we ate A LOT of food! The restrooms have the modern toilets with lights, heated seats, fans, and a bunch of other features I couldn't figure out. read more

As soon as you walk in you are transported to an elegant interior with a long well stocked bar area and plenty of dining booths. The servers make you feel welcome and anticipate your needs before you know you have them. We just dropped in for a quick bite so got appetizers, sushi, and ramen. All food was quickly delivered and the presentation was top notch. Best twice fried wings and the gyoza was mouth watering. The ambience is informal, relaxing and fun. The food is amazing! Not your average sushi place. Walked in a little late with no reservation, sat down immediately. You can tell the food alone categorized in fine dining without the formality. Menu had lots of really unique and difficult to find in sushi, fresh ingredients, not all with rice, sashimi and fusion style tapas. All so very delicious and good drinks as well. Oza mule and I got a mocktail passionfruit in green tea with jelly, delicious! Finished before I could take a photo. Great service. Came here with 2 families and had an outdoor reservation, even on a regular weekday the place is packed. Our server was attentive and informative from the get go but I'm just not a fan of the QR code menu esp in a high end izakaya setting. Everything we had pictured below was exceptional. From yuzu hamachi , oysters , sashimi platter and even the seafood pasta was all made with such delicate thought and passion with creativity. Very well balanced flavors and service was also on point the entire night. My only gripe is that with the outdoor seating they didn't have a solar shade to roll down . Made a reservation ahead of time and I needed to push it 30 minutes out so I called the restaurant and they were able to accommodate last minute. Arriving, the exterior and interior is beautiful! They really made the restaurant with a relaxing and intimate dining feel that we enjoyed. Arriving at the table, there was a sign that said Reserved for (name). It was so sweet! We scanned a QR code and was able to get our food within 10 minutes of ordering. I was very pleased at how fast that was! Taste wise? Wow. Everything was very fresh. I loved the nigiri set. I also loved the oysters and truffle salmon cold appetizers. Using the restroom, I noticed they also have the Japanese toilets. So so, so so so good! They made our anniversary really special. We each had the bluefin tuna tasting, and it was beyond our expectations. Our favorite pieces were the little crackers. I wish I wrote this review sooner as I don't recall the waiters name but he was so knowledgeable of the dishes and made such good recommendations based on what I liked. He took the time to get to know me asked me what I generally order and really made the experience awesome. The menu is quite complex but incredibly thoughtful. I wish this place was closer to me as I'd probably eat here a lot. The food was outstanding and the service was awesome. I came back in fact for drinks the next day. They have somewhat of an omakase plate- chef choices of a few bites. I did not try it as wanted to try a few other dishes but I'd love to experiment with those when I come back. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very upscale, seemingly 5star- oddly the shopping center it is in doesn't really fit. I have already left a review here, but when it's this good I had to leave another. I've already come here for a few birthdays and came here recently with friends and once again had a lovely experience. The ambiance here is fantastic, if you like sushi and want to get it for a special event this is THE restaurant to go to. Whenever I've brought friends or family here everyone is always amazed with the aesthetic and atmosphere here. As for the food and drinks it was great as always. I can't remember the specific dishes but I do remember that the Matcha cocktail was phenomenal, the quality was great and it was very tasty. CHEF'S KISS! The food and service were excellent! Big shout out to our server Christine/Christina. She treated our party of 6 with ease and expertise - no notes. Our group had just left Universal Studios and was craving Ramen bad and we made a reservation over the phone for this spot. Our reservation was for 10pm, but we got there a little early and was still able to be seated promptly. Upon entering the restaurant, the host guided us to our table and I was shocked to see a sign with my name on It on the table already - I was feeling fancy lol. WOW JUST WOW! My mom and I found this restaurant on a whim after an evening of shopping at the outlets. Seating was limited so we ate outside but it was so nice. They cut on the tall heaters and it was perfect. Service was amazing, they were attentive and kind. Cocktails were delicious. The oysters are what dreams are made of, we had to double back and order another round. The sauce on the edamame was delicious, we actually dipped our chicken in it too. Oza Izakaya is an absolute gem. While I wouldn't necessarily label it a typical "kid-friendly" spot, it is an amazing venue for a date night or celebrating a special occasion. That said, my kids did great here, and the menu had plenty of fantastic options for them to enjoy! The sushi was a huge hit with the kids: super fresh and delicious. We also stepped out of our comfort zone to try a few new dishes, including the raw tuna and the grilled octopus. Octopus can so easily end up rubbery, but theirs was executed perfectly, tender, full of flavor, and not chewy at all! The undeniable highlight of the night was the oysters. Service was very attentive. Food was good. Reminds us of old school Japanese food, which was very pleasant. I think two dishes stood out. One was the Robata eggplant and the other was the conch salad. The Kama was good, loved the smashed umboshi and the pickles that came with it. Sadly the grilled scallops were a let down. I expected more from the description of its preparation. The scallop was cooked well but the only flavor added to it was a tiny dab of gojuchang because the bed of seaweed did not have that ocean flavor and there was a lack of acid and umami in the dish. I had an amazing girls night out at Oza Izakaya and I already can't wait to go back! I went with a friend who had already been a couple times and she knew just what to order. I'm glad we let her take the lead because every dish we tried was phenomenal! We started with the wagyu gyoza, grilled sea scallops, and yuzu hamachi. Three solid dishes and all must-haves. The scallops have a beautiful presentation and are truly a special bite that will melt in your mouth. From there, we added the mebachi maguro truffle, amakara wings, and the misoyaki sea bass. Again - no misses. The wings were perfectly crispy and tossed in chili truffle honey sauce. The sea bass was probably one of my favorite dishes if the night. So buttery and delicious! Of course, we had to save room for dessert. We couldn't decide, so we ordered both cheesecakes to share - the Woo Baby ube cheesecake and the Yuzu Delight. They are both amazing! We also enjoyed some fabulous signature cocktails. Overall it was a perfect meal that I've been dreaming about since. I also learned that they have a late night happy hour menu starting at 10pm. We don't recommend scallop appetizer, which contained 4 tiny tasteless scallops served in 4 shells for around $18. The sushi also was just OK and our hot entree (seafood noodle) was prepared so late after we finished our sushi rolls and Ramon that we asked to cancel it. The server was respectful but menu is by QR scan and very hard to understand with no photos . Inside it's all smoky energy and people pretending they totally know how to pronounce the sake menu. Was looking for a new restaurant to try, and saw a lot of buz on social media about this restaurant, I had to try it out for myself! The vibes are moody and dark, dim lighting and pretty aesthetics. Now for the food! The food was so delicious! The stand out to me was the truffle tuna. I also really enjoyed the Oturo temaki, she was buttery and delicious. We also ordered the premium nigiri set, which I thought was okay. Was not a stand out to me. The chicken wings were perfect though, nice and crispy. I am an avid espresso martini lover, and Oza's espresso martini did not disappoint it was delicious and I would most definitely get it each time I go. I ordered the Zen Matcha , but it had a cherry like flavor that I did not enjoy. I wouldn't recommend it. I think the ube dessert left a little to be desired, as it had no crust and my friend and I were hoping for a nice crisp crust to balance the softness of the cheesecake. It was good, but the crust threw us off. Overall, I would absolutely eat here again, and look forward to further exploring the menu here! read more

We went for the late night happy hour on Thursday @ 10:30pm, which they have everyday until the last call around 11:30 ish and most restaurants don't have this option so our eyes glowed when we saw this! We pregamed (first sushi dinner) at Sushi Kichi (awesome btw) located in the middle of the plaza and wanted to save this for our last late night in Orlando so we couldn't order as much as we wanted to. We ordered: 1) Scallop Ceviche $12- amazing HH price and those lil soft, buttery (no butter) shiz are from Hokkaido. Per staff, the chef only wants scallops from there and you know what?! Me too! 2) Hamachi Crudo $12- amazing HH price and can't go wrong with hamachi anything, 'twas good! 3) Harami Skirt Steak skewer $6- one skewer and it's about 3 bites; grilled nicely and didn't choke on it. It was topped with chimichurri and garlic, tho it was more garlic but that's ok with me cuz I love garlic 4) King Mushroom skewer $3- one skewer with 3 small...SMALL pieces of the stem, like the size of half of your thumb. This is one thing I don't recommend; at least a whole mushroom would be justifiable. 5) Mebachi Maguro Truffle $25- the presentation was fancy, maybe cuz of the truffle on top of each tuna but each piece just melted during every chew. I've been here several times now and each time has been fantastic. The service is always top notch and literally every bite is a treat! All the servers are so kind and really go over the menu if needed. There's so many dishes to choose from and I feel like they often add new things as well. So it's definitely worth coming multiple times to try everything. I love the wagyu gyoza, yuzu hamachi, and octopus. Their sashimi set is also absolutely delicious. There's also a plethora of cocktails to choose from that are also all very good! There's only a few desserts, ube cake and yuzu cheesecake, which are both good. She took care of us, explain dishes we had questions about, and made recommendations. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The drinks were delicious. I had an espresso martini. We started with edamame, a few skewers one steak and one chicken thighs. We also had a fish, I tried it but didn't love it but I also don't love fish. Sometime restaurant that are so invested in the interior and exterior might lack in food however we were blown away with every single dish we order.
