Wow what a pleasant surprise! I love restaurants that are so unassuming but are so good. My girlfriends and I were looking for a breakfast place close to a sewing studio we were going to that afternoon that also had a decent selection of vegan and vegetarian options. We were greeted right away and led to our booth. He took our drink orders while we waited for the rest of our party, and once they arrived, we were told about their cinnamon rolls. 2 people in our party were vegan so we skipped it, but I will be trying it when we come back. I got the orange juice to drink and the french toast with a side of grits (because I feel like it's rare to find a place that does just straight grits in Vegas). Orange juice was a good size for the price, and the side of grits was a hefty portion, I was super excited for that. The french toast had cream and fresh berries on top. The french toast was soaked and griddled to perfection, thick bread that takes on the moisture very well. And the berries kick it up a notch! They have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian food, which our friends loved! When we finished up, we were offered complimentary cookies. They were warm and sooooo good! The service here was phenomenal. Our waitress was so nice and we were having quite a laugh with her, we had a great time. It wasn't too busy in here and this place is kind of tucked away, but more people need to check it out! Just like it says on the outside: JUST GOOD FOOD. Zenaida's Cafe is very unassuming, not much too look at from the outside. I'd call it a medium size venue with a decent amount of seating. Most definitely has that mom and pop, small business vibe to it, along with that old fashioned diner feel. You don't have to worry about parking, the lot in the plaza has plenty of spaces. Really enjoyed my eggs Benedict I didn't get a picture. Cinnamon roll is massive , the fruit is fresh, and the whipped cream is something special. The cookies are good to take home. The watermelon salad was presented beautifully and all the flavors balanced well. Food comes out quick and our server was very hospitable and very kind. It's that time of year for the Thanksgiving Benedict. After a FB post about it being available, I called to order out. We had the crab Benedict, breakfast stack, sterling breakfast and French toast. The house potatoes were tasty and crunchy. Coffee was good too. Price point is just right. They gave chocolate chip cookies at the end of our meal on the house. It was yummy!! It was kinda hard to find because of the small sign on the building. This popped up as a suggested place, and I'm glad we took you up on the suggestion Yelp! Super cute restaurant with very chill vibes. Our waitress was actually excited about the menu, and had no problem going through each item on the menu that she would recommend. She ran through the majority of the menu and catered her responses to our savory loving palettes. I opted for the Crab Benedict, which was DELICIOUS! Their Hollandaise sauce was light but flavorful. Our waitress mentioned that the crab cakes were made without lots of filler, and she was right. Chalk full of crab with just enough filler to hold it together. For this plate alone, I would return. Ambiance: This feel like a cool jazz slash mom and pop shop feel. When I saw the chef proudly representing his food, I'm like this looks legit with his chef uniform. The baked french toast caught our attention and the chicken fried steak. Unfortunately they were out of it, so we just got the steak and eggs with hash browns. I asked for the hash browns well done when i usually get them with scrambled eggs. The steak and eggs was great! i usually don't get those because the steak is usually under seasoned or too tough. This was perfect! Just the right amount of seasoning and the eggs and hash browns were cooked to perfection! The better of the two to me was the baked french toast. I'm not going to lie, when I see whip cream on any french toast I always assume it's going to be straight out of can. Because I saw high praise from this place we decieded to order it because it looked good on yelp. We rolled and eight for the point and it was fantastic! My parents and I took a quick trip to Las Vegas and we stopped into Zenaida's for some breakfast, which was a fabulous idea. We pulled into the shopping center parking lot and found parking right in front of the restaurant at about 10:30AM on a Thursday. As we walked inside, we were greeted warmly by our host, who kindly offered us the option to choose our seating (one of the booths). We were handed our menus and then he was off to the kitchen while we perused the menu. A few moments later we were ready to order. I had the waffle and Turkey sausage, so did my dad. My mom chose the keto plate. All were great. The coffee was hot and really good. Our server was very attentive and on point, too! The waffles were nice and crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The whipped cream is delicious topped with strawberry slices! I'm told the keto plate (beef cooked to your liking with veggies) is very tasty and includes beautiful berries! This place is marvelous. We will totally be back and tell all of our friends and family in the area to go to Zenaida's! Ten stars! Even one of the owners was there and greeted us as she buzzed through handling business. I visited this restaurant for the first time this morning and I absolutely loved the experience. The food I had and the service provided was AMAZING!!! I love the ambiance especially the Jazz and Blues wall art. I met the owner Chef Sterling C. Burpee, he was very courteous and friendly. This is a hidden gem for breakfast and brunch that punches above its weight. We only had an hour, so I called ahead to see how busy they'd be and they had the table ready for us when we arrived. Our servers were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was laid back and casual and the emphasis here is the food quality. The chef has his accolades on the back wall and apparently has made meals for many celebrities and has been written about extensively, so I was excited to try his recipes. I had a delectable, savory crab cake benedict with a seasoned remoulade hollandaise sauce, which the server told me the crab cake and hollandaise were both made on site. The four of us also ordered a beautifully presented, baked fresh cinnamon roll loaded with fresh berries and whipped cream, their in-house corn beef hash with shredded potatoes and scrambled eggs with hollandaise sauce and an epic Belgian waffle covered in whipped cream, drizzled with caramel, topped with fresh strawberries that came with thick bacon on the side. My girlfriend and I found this place on google, searching for some breakfast spots before driving back to LA. What captured our attention was the homemade cinnamon roll. We arrived on Sunday near noon, not too busy but there was some tables filled. Got sat quickly and our waitress was very friendly. We decided to order of the limited time menu items. They had let us know that they were waiting on the meat for the sandwich, which I appreciated the heads-up, so we didn't mind waiting. The waitress would check in everyone once in a while, with some friendly chit chat. Food came out pretty quickly. The prime rib sandwich was cooked very nicely, meat was tender, bread was toasted evenly while not being overly crunchy, just the perfect amount. The melt also had a nice crunch, and the tomato bisque was perfect to dip or to eat by itself. The pickle had a nice crunch to it. The cinnamon roll was a perfect dessert. The fluffy inside, the firm outside, the berries/fruit complimented it very nicely. The homemade whip cream/frosting and syrup were not so too sweet(where I would be sick by the end of it). After all was said and done, they had gifted us two chocolate chip cookies, baked fresh with a drizzle of, what I think was sweetened condensed milk. It was really difficult to swallow that last piece after such a big meal. Everyone else seems to want to find the glam and glitz of the place and I am looking for great food without being near the hustle and bustle of the strip. When you walk in the hostess greets you. And upon first glance, it does not seem like this is the place with all of the high marks, but it indeed is the place. The setting is very casual with a feel of a traduonal diner. Our server was very friendly, efficient and was great at helping with menu choices. The corn beef hash was absolutely terrific and flavourful. The Cuban Monte Cristo was definitely different in a good way from a traditional Monte Cristo. The Monte Cristo was served with breakfast potatoes that I would have loved to make a meal from just them. And one of the highlights was the complentary complementary cookies for the meal finish. The cookies are baked fresh daily and they were a perfect chocolate chip with a drizzle over them. This place can handle individuals or small groups easily. They were so nice and crispy then I ordered shrimp and grits I must say I was expecting a little more flavorful maybe like Creole the gravy taste like Chinese gravy the grits wasn't seasoned but overall it was still a good dish once I put salt and pepper on it. They were delicious. My friend had a fruit plate. The fruit tasted as if someone poured 5 pounds of sugar in it. You must go to this place, it is fantastic. The food is out of this world. Let me just say I had a wonderful family breakfast here. I honestly didn't know what to expect because I don't live on this side of town it looked very empty and the area seemed a little rough. When I walked in I was greeted by a beautiful waitress with a nice warm smile. I asked for booths because of my babies but it was 8 of us. The man in front was like you can have the table i said I would rather be in a booth even if we have to split and he seemed to dismiss me. So I walked outside where my family was and said idk let's go try somewhere else. But I'm pregnant and I get turned off real quick by vibes. My husband said let's just try we are already here. So we walked back in and just ordered. I'm so glad we did because sometimes I am the problem I can admit that LOL The pancakes were so creamy and tasty the eggs were sooo bomb and the chef was the sweetest guy ever. I even ordered extra food. My cinnamon roll was soooo delicious and they make them fresh. They brought my babies a big coloring book and all.
