Can't believe I haven't ever rated Zerio's. I have been coming here for 20 plus years, honestly since they first opened their doors. Ok, so, since my last review I've haunted by the inclination give Zerios another try. Remembering they offer a white clam pizza, today was the day that I decided to follow that inclination. For once, I actually called in my order ahead of time; so, there was no wait time. Immediately, the aroma struck me as it filled the air around me with hints of garlic and cheese. So compelling was this scent that I opened the box as soon as entered my car. The folks at Zerios get an "A" for presentation. I won't even try to describe my pizzas appearance; I couldn't fully do it justice. I'll simply say "beautiful", and point you to the picture. Now, I've had some great white clam pizza in my time; and yes, some bad white clam pizza, too. But this, was...just ok. The garlic was well proportioned and cheese was plentiful, as were the clams. The texture, however, was a bit on the dry side, and that made all the difference. At just under twenty bucks, before tip, ghis was by all means a fair price, for a fair meal. read more

Right when we walked in we were greated very nicely. Staff was very friendly. There was a free sample of pizza on the counter as well. I ate two separate days. Day was was the buffalo chicken panini. The chicken was slightly dry but still really great and would definitely recommend. The sauce in there is a delight. The chefs salad was pretty good. Loved the ham roll ups on the salad. I love a good panini and anything buffalo, and both items did not disappoint. Honestly, my food was pretty amazing - all the flavors of the panini was downright delicious and that pasta was creamy with just enough kick. The portions are huge - the reason for us splitting - and the price was fair. They also offer complimentary slices of cheese pizza, which was much appreciated while waiting for our order. I generally love this place but today I ordered a loaded potato soup that was so bad, I think it may have been spoiled. It tasted sour but maybe it had a lot of sour cream but I couldn't eat it. I pulled out the potatoes and ate them cause I had to eat something but threw out the soup. I'm getting nauseous just thinking about it. Check the soup for spoilage or get rid of it. Terrible. Ordered takeout, cheese tortellini entrée. It was ok but I was very disappointed that it did not come with the salad as advertised. I had walked there and when I got home and opened my bag it only had the tortellini and a piece of garlic bread in it. Despite the high traffic, our food was prepared relatively quickly and neatly. The sandwiches were pretty average in terms of content, but the bread was really special. It was fluffy, but crunchy and just delicious overall! The portions are also pretty large. Service was friendly and quick. Food was solid overall. Price was pretty standard (~$10). Ambience was clean and pretty central being right off the highway. They also give you a free small slice of pizza while you wait, which was nice. We took our food up to Pierson park and sat under the pavilion. Kid loved the panini and my pizza was excellent. Had a pretty good panini at Zerio's. Went in for Lunch and the place was packed. Clearly a local hot spot. As such, it took a bit longer than I would have liked to get our food, but the quality and taste were superb. I got the smoked turkey panini. A lot of the paninis are pre made so when you order, they just throw it on the press. They also usually have some pizza made up and you can take a slice and eat it for free while you wait for your food to come out. The inside is a bit small, and seating is limited, so get there early or go for a late lunch if you don't like the crowds. They have an abundance of deli meats, salads, and Italian dishes to choose from. My lunch cost about $12 for a panini, soda and bag of chips. I left stuffed....probably too stuffed! read more
