Medium half pepperoni pizza. Served Connecti - CUT
    John A.

We were out of state and took this recommendation from yelp. Pizza was very good. We had half pepperoni which had tons of pepperoni on it. The service was excellent. The owner had a big smile and was a positive guy. You could tell they do a lot of take out. Very clean. Could have used a little music but then you might have not appreciated the chefs passion. I had this at a 4.4.

Really only gave this place a try because Romanos Pizza was closed. I wanted to pick something up on my way home from work, but I did not want to go out of my way at all, or have to get off the highway once I got on - so I reluctantly gave Pete's a try - and was NOT disappointed. I called around 5-515 on a week day and I was told it would only be a 15 minute wait, which was great to hear. I walked in the restaurant 15 minutes later and I knew my food was going to be delicious just by the smell. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza, which came out to around $11, pretty decent pricing. From what I could tell, the staff seemed very friendly. Upon getting home I tried my pizza and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust, the sauce, and the cheese were all so flavorful. The perfect amount of cheese vs sauce was on the pizza, and it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be returning. My only complaint is the variety of the menu. I wish they had a little more. However, their menu does note that they roast their own roast beef in-house, which I am very excited to try!

I'm absolutely in love with Pete's. We wanted to try a new pizza place tonight and since this place is right next to our house basically now, I felt we definitely needed to get some pizza from here for Sunday night Netflix and chill night. They have social distancing markers labeled clearly through the shop, and everyone working there are incredibly nice, and even asked if I needed help carrying out my pizzas. My Hawaiian pizza was absolutely delish, the pineapple was absolute perfection. Definitely will be trying more items off their menu in the weeks to come.

Anyone giving less than 4 stars, may want to consider playing in traffic. We said what we said. Pete is from the lineage of the OG's of Wilson Pizza in Windsor, CT Don't let the suburbs fool you. PPP continues to be consistent, fresh-the staff are cheerful and never forget a face. It feels like home when we come here. Today we got a half Special/ half cheese and it was just like we remembered. This is a Bestifer's Best if ya ask us-and if you're reading this-you're asking. Crust was perfection-not soggy in the middle which tends to happen with pizza loaded with veggies. And the sauce was every tomato obsessed girls' dream. #bigfacts So next time you're in Rocky Hill, make sure you make the stop into Pete's. You'll be thanking them and us later!

After a great first experience with a chicken parm grinder, I decided to test the pizza against my favorite local takeout pizza place. I ordered a medium pepperoni and onion pizza. The crust was typical for takeout pizza. The pepperoni, onions and cheese were all nicely cooked. The sauce was just decent for me. I would have preferred a sweeter sauce to offset the saltiness of the other ingredients. I maybe picked up a little wine flavor in the sauce? Pete's pizza was good, but did not unseat my favorite local takeout place. I'll be back for a chicken parm grinder and maybe to try a different grinder.

My mom wound up getting the chicken noodle soup, and she loved it! We split the pork burnt ends appetizer. If I had known how good the pork was, I would've maybe gotten the pork belly bahn mi. I know I'll have to get that next time! Because this appetizer stole the show. I absolutely will have to get it again next time. I got the fish and chips, which were stellar! They were heavy on the fish and a little lighter on the breading than I normally expect, which was nice. The fries and coleslaw were delicious too--I really loved the fries. My dad got the wings, which he picked when he saw they make their own dry rub. Really great stuff!! Heavy on the seasoning but delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I popped in because the parking lot was mostly empty. It wasn't particularly busy in the cafe either. There were two small groups ahead of me in line. I order my food and black iced coffee to go. I received my food. It even had to be heated. And I had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my black iced coffee. Even though there are only two or three people waiting in the drink area. And that was after I said something. So who knows how long it would have taken. This isn't because of lack of effort. The baristas were doing things. They're making lots of drinks. But it's not clear for whom. They finish the drinks and they don't call people's names. Maybe they're for to go orders? I understand that restaurants need to make choices about how they run things. All I can say is, that it's not a good experience to get all of your food and you have to wait for a black iced coffee (a drink that takes very minimal effort) for 10 minutes. Even though you're one of only a few people in the drink area. I'm not going to change my review score. But these experiences definitely affect how often I visit.

No depth, no punch, no reason to go back for another bite. Italian food should comfort you and excite you at the same time--this did neither. Credit where it's due: portions are generous, and the bread was fresh and nicely toasted, which honestly might have been the most flavorful thing on the table.
