Arrived at 4:40 PM, we were the only people sitting in the restaurant eating for the duration of our meal as we ate in and the phone only rang two times for possible takeout orders. Place needs an entire cleanup, worn out paint, dirty doors and walls and a dimly lit bathroom and the soap container did not work in the bathroom. Only one employee on the premises, making the food. Dinnerware was thin paper plates, and thin plastic forks and knives. But I will give credit where credit is due. The Pizza was good and was made in a timely manner. Maybe because it was the only food he had in the oven. I like Greek pizza and to find the good Greek pizza in Middlesex County and lower Hartford County is hard to come by, any suggestions would be appreciated. I will not return unless they clean the place. I did not find it to appealing. I gave a rating of 3 as the Pizza as stated earlier it was good not the best but it was good. read more

This pizza has always been great since having to leave Windsor Ct. My family has been eating their pizza since I was a kid.

Really only gave this place a try because Romanos Pizza was closed. I wanted to pick something up on my way home from work, but I did not want to go out of my way at all, or have to get off the highway once I got on - so I reluctantly gave Pete's a try - and was NOT disappointed. I called around 5-515 on a week day and I was told it would only be a 15 minute wait, which was great to hear. I walked in the restaurant 15 minutes later and I knew my food was going to be delicious just by the smell. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza, which came out to around $11, pretty decent pricing. From what I could tell, the staff seemed very friendly. Upon getting home I tried my pizza and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust, the sauce, and the cheese were all so flavorful. The perfect amount of cheese vs sauce was on the pizza, and it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be returning. My only complaint is the variety of the menu. I wish they had a little more. However, their menu does note that they roast their own roast beef in-house, which I am very excited to try! read more

This place is in need of a thorough cleaning. Dirty garbage can next to the front counter - not appetizing at all. The stapled menu with the food choices was also very dirty and stained. I would have turned around and left if I was by myself but put on a brave face for the sake of my friends who were starving. I'm absolutely in love with Pete's. We wanted to try a new pizza place tonight and since this place is right next to our house basically now, I felt we definitely needed to get some pizza from here for Sunday night Netflix and chill night. They have social distancing markers labeled clearly through the shop, and everyone working there are incredibly nice, and even asked if I needed help carrying out my pizzas. My Hawaiian pizza was absolutely delish, the pineapple was absolute perfection. Definitely will be trying more items off their menu in the weeks to come. read more

PPP continues to be consistent, fresh-the staff are cheerful and never forget a face. It feels like home when we come here. Today we got a half Special/ half cheese and it was just like we remembered. This is a Bestifer's Best if ya ask us-and if you're reading this-you're asking. Crust was perfection-not soggy in the middle which tends to happen with pizza loaded with veggies. I started out slow by just ordering a meatball sub and that was delicious and so I went back and ordered their eggplant parmigiana sub and that was also delicious too!! And then when I went back a third time, I ordered their Greek pizza !! ! And that was superb !!! And I am not easy to please when it comes to food ; ( I am a daughter of a chef that was a graduated from the Culinary Institute of America !!! ). Service has always been great too !! After a great first experience with a chicken parm grinder, I decided to test the pizza against my favorite local takeout pizza place. I ordered a medium pepperoni and onion pizza. The crust was typical for takeout pizza. The pepperoni, onions and cheese were all nicely cooked. The sauce was just decent for me. I would have preferred a sweeter sauce to offset the saltiness of the other ingredients. I maybe picked up a little wine flavor in the sauce? Pete's pizza was good, but did not unseat my favorite local takeout place. I'll be back for a chicken parm grinder and maybe to try a different grinder. read more

Went for lunch a few days ago and the pizza was amazing. Will definitely return and tell my friends and family.

This is the second time here. First was when they opened, i ordered a grinder, not much stood out but not bad. Tonight I ordered a large cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and french fries. Friendly and timely service. Other reviews were right, greek style w generous cheese. Kids liked the pizza and the fries, cheese on pizza was a bit too much for me. I had a pepperoni pizza and this is the type of place you want to go to if you want the thick Detroit crust style pizza. Been wanting to get outside of Middletown and try a different pizza place. As good as Mondo and Pizza Palace are it's nice to try someplace different. Pete's is very good and I would definitely order it again. My son and I had the Meatza (meatball, pepperoni, sausage, and bacon). Crust was very good, having grown up in Berlin and eating mostly greek pizza it was just like it. Sauce and cheese were good as well, and the pizza, even with all the meat, wasn't greasy. My compay ordered the meat lover regular pizza and the could not stop raving about it. They said it was the best pizza they had in the USA. Ordered Gyro plate, Capicola Grinder, Eggplant Parm, and Chicken Parm Grinder. Food was good! Solid place, will definitely order again. Ordered to go and went inside to pickup, clean inside, new looking on the inside. I'm not contracted, I'm not a professional review writer, and I'm not a connoisseur. This place is a 9.9/10. Ordered a medium house special the other night, with a side of naked wings. The medium is a true medium, perfect proliferation of toppings, the sauce jives perfectly, and the crust, while slightly on the thicker side, is a very thin "thick" crust. The only reason I deducted a tenth of a point is because I prefer naked wings, and they came breaded when asked for naked. But that's nitpicking at that point.
