Fantastic grinders, just like I remember it! Fresh crispy thin cutlets and amazing sauce. Really can't be beat. I will be returning very soon!

The value here is extraordinary. Half grinders run 7 or 8 bucks, and if you eat the entire thing you will be stuffed for the rest of the day. And how about getting a slice of pizza for just $1.50? If you're a big spender and want to spring for pepperoni, it will set you back $1.75 -not $1.75 extra, just $1.75 for the whole slice. The aptly named Maple Giant Grinder is a grinder -pizza - pasta place with very good food at rock bottom prices. For lunch today, we ordered a half meatball grinder, a half turkey grinder ($7.25 each) and an antipasto $8.75. My turkey grinder was excellent- a perfectly toasted nice soft roll, a big portion of fresh turkey, with lettuce, tomato, and melted provolone with a splash of oil and vinegar. Our salad was just as good- a huge cylinder of ham, cheese, turkey, pepperoni, and salami served over crisp fresh spring mix with tomatoes, onions and olives. I sampled a taste of the meatball and sauce, and they were fabulous! The only thing that was "off" was that a meatball grinder wasn't our first choice -chicken parm was. But they didn't have any chicken parm at 12:30 on a Saturday! The "half" grinders were so large we took half of the halves home, so we basically got 4 portions for about three and a half bucks each. That's a great value. If you're in the neighborhood, and want to have a nice lunch in a sweet neighborhood place, and not break the bank, you will make out very nicely here.

Probably the best grinders in the South End. No bad choices on the menu here. Try the beef cutlet -- something you'll only find at old school Italian places like this one -- or the stuffed peppers with sauce. Don't be fooled by the "half" grinder which sounds small. It'll fill you up. The whole is big enough to share. Good, friendly service on top of the food. If you're taking it to go they always get you out the door with your food quickly.

can anyone actually finish the "whole"? HUGE portions. I had the beef cutlet and it was really good, covered in a zesty sauce and smothered in provolone. I like that they have sodas from a local supplier, too. Service was great, parking was easy!

"Rose darling come to me All I ask of you…read moreIs make my wildest dreams come true" (Steely Dan) You probably don't need a PHD in linguistics to surmise that the Italian words "La Rosa" translates into the English words "The Rose". And if your wildest dreams happen to revolve around Italian comfort foods and well stacked sandwiches, well, do I have a place to make those wildest dreams come true for you! La Rosa is your quintessential Italian deli with dozens of grinders, paninis, wraps, salads, soups and a daily hot bar of pasta and chicken entrees. We ordered a grilled Panino Melenzani ($12) with eggplant, tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil. It was grilled right in front of our eyes, so it was as fresh as could be. It had plenty of tender sliced eggplant, yummy cheese and fresh tomatoes. I went with my usual, an Italian Combo (half size for $14) stacked a mile high with Ham, Turkey, Genoa, Mortadella, Capicola, and Provolone with lettuce, tomato, onions, and peppers on a fresh loaf of Italian bread. It was superb, and the portion size was so generous that it lasted me for three lunches. As we were paying, we spied some home-made cookies by the register and grabbed an oatmeal and a chocolate chip to take home. Everything ran $32 for a ton of wonderful Italian goodness. We didn't get a chance to check out the hot bar. It wasn't open today because LaRosa's Marketplace was closing early for personal reasons. But I promise you, the next time we visit we'll leave with one of their chicken or pasta entrees. We love our Italian delis, and LaRosa's has immediately shot up into our top tier.

We placed orders for 12 of us over the phone today, we went to pick up the goods around an hour later. I got their Italian Sandwich this time. Previously I've had several of the salads. I think collectively my office has had their entire menu. From sandwiches, to salads, to pizzas, to lasagna and more. Every single meal has always been super fresh, where all you can hear is "mmmmmMmmmms..." My lunch was served on a freshly baked Italian hoagie roll, filled with roasted peppers, ham, tomatoes, mixed greens, capicola and provolone cheese. In addition to each and every single ingredient being super fresh, this was also a very large portion. I could have easily shared the other half with someone else, had it on another day or ate it right after the first portion... which one did I do? The restaurant it's self is little and very cute, it was full at 12:00 o'clock today. If you're looking for a quick and fresh lunch or dinner around the Wethersfield area, Lenoci's will check each of your boxes.

If anyone knows me, they know I'm sucker for a GOOD deli sandwich and that's exactly what you'll get here. I happily enjoyed the Keeney Club which namesake is a homage to the town of Wethersfield! It came piled with house-roasted deli turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon, avocado and garlic mayo atop thick toasted bread. WOW the garlic mayo absolutely blew me away.
